It went well and we were charged $110.00 dollars for the privilege of using Bob Goff.  We soon came to realize however that the humidifiers would NOT turn off when the furnace did.  We called Bob Goff many times and left many messages before someone called us back!!   Unacceptable after spending that kind of money.  One installer came after Bob did the initial installation and was here for hours and could not fix the problem, did not have the parts and was on the phone constantly "getting help" with the repair.   Again we waited for another appointment to have the issue addressed.  Another "repair"man came today and again was on the phone asking for "help".  He was here for almost 2 hours before the issue was resolved.
I cannot recommend Bob Goff Heating and Cooling.....not unless you have a lot of time and a lot of money to spend on 3 service calls and technicians that need phone assistance with every visit.
STILL HERE  and still on the phone receiving help with the repair.   
I would not recommend Bob Goff to anyone nor will I be using them in the future.

My experience with Bob Goff heating and cooling was excellent.  I have been having trouble with my old heating and A/C units and was even told by another company that I would just have to replace them.  They were able to quickly schedule a service call that fit into my schedule, identify, and fix the problem.  The tech even took the time to wipe everything down and vacuumm out my furnace.  I highly recommmend this company!

They are so friendly people to work with. I trust them. They are punctual and they suit me. They do what they are supposed to do and they are very nice people to work with.

I called to schedule repair on my central AC unit, which had stopped working a few days earlier. The technician arrived as scheduled the next afternoon. He diagnosed the problem as a bad contactor unit; he got the new unit from his van and finished installing it about one-half hour after he arrived. The service was professional. The service fee was very fair -- $78. The parts charge, however, seemed way high -- $175 for a piece I could hold in my hand. I commented that the part was "a bit pricey" as I signed my check. The technician had given me the old part and the box in which the new part had come, as was the company's usual procedure, he told me. Later in the day I checked online and found a number of sites that carried the "definite purpose contactor" with specs identical to those listed on the empty box. On every site, the price for one unit ranged between $5 - $20. I understand the practice of applying a mark-up on parts -- that is very fair. But a mark-up from $20 to $175 seems excessive.

Wall heater in living room of one of my apts would not light. Pilot light would go out every time as soon as I released the button. I suspected the thermocouple, and called this company on a Monday morning at about 10am. The dispatcher was very polite and asked me my problem. After explaining it to her, she said a repairman would be at my address in the early afternoon the same day. Sure enough, a truck pulled in my drive at about 1pm, and Chuck introduced himself to me. He immediately replaced the thermocouple and lit the heater. The pilot stayed lit, but every time he turned the heat on, the flame blew out. After several attempts, he said he wanted to look at the outside vent. The apt is on the second floor, so he went up on the ladder, in the rain, and after taking the cover off the vent, pulled out a birds nest that was blocking the airflow for the heater. He then returned to the apt, re-lit the heater, and it now works fine. Chuck was very friendly, knowledgable, and polite, and I would definitely recommend him for future work.

I called because my 20-year-old furnace's standing pilot light would not stay lit. I thought the thermocouple was bad. The service technician showed up 40 minutes early for a 9am appointment. Good thing I was ready for him. Within 5 minutes he had removed and replaced the thermocouple. He did not check the problem for himself first though. The problem was not the thermocouple. The technician troubleshooted and determined that the gas valve was not working. He called the office and they no longer had one in stock so the repairman went to get one at a supply house. After a nearly hour long wait, the technician returned and informed me that the first supply house actually did not have the valve so he had to go to another one. The technician then replaced the valve in about an hour and also cleaned the furnace since it would be no added cost. He also did not charge for the thermocouple since it wasn't the cause of the problem. The technician was very friendly and professional. I enjoyed talking with him. However, I was surprised by the price. The service call was $78 but the gas valve parts and labor was $395. I should have asked before he went to get it. I have since found this valve online for $120 to $195. Maybe $100 per hour is typical for this simple task and I know people need to make a living but I should have bought this valve and replaced it myself. Lesson learned.

The serviceman went through a check list to service my furnace. He was very patient in answering my questions about the workings of various parts of the furnace. I watched him effortlessly install the new filter. The same person had done a similar job of cleaning and checking both my furnace and AC the previous year. Prior to that I had purchaced a new furnace filter at their office where the office manager gave me some very good hints on how to easily install the filter. I found doing business with this company very satisfactory.

The experience was great. They came out within a few days and installed it in one day. They cleaned up after themselves and they did a fine job.

Bob was very professional every step of the way. He assessed my home's specific needs and made changes that resulted in increased efficiency. His product knowledge is outstanding; he was able to make sound recommendations regarding product choices that best suited my home. Throughout the entire installation process he was extremely careful not to cause any damage to my home and thoroughly cleaned and vacuumed the entire work area when he finished each day. In addition to being knowledgeable and conscientious, Bob is also very personable and trustworthy. I would highly recommend him to anyone!

This was a replacement for the water heater Bob Goff installed in my home 11 years ago. (Bob also installed my Lennox furnace 11 years ago). In 11 years, I did not have one single problem with the water heater or furnace. Bob and his crew do a fantastic, top-quality job. Bob is skilled in plumbing, electrical work, and all that is required to do a quality installation of a water heater or furnace. Bob switched the exhaust to PVC which brought the installation in line with code. The job was completed on-time, quickly, and is of very high quality. The new water heater is great. I highly recommend Bob Goff for furnace, water heater work.

Service person arrived early, which was great. $125 for the air conditioner and heater check. $30 for the freon.

I had asbestos, he was the only one that pointed that out to me. He did a great job, I would highly recommend. He was thorough in explaining his work. He was also very clean.

The service person was punctual. I didn't follow him when he was working on the furnace, so I can't give you my observation. I do wish he'd been a bit more thorough in explaining what he did. He only told me when I asked him questions after he was finished. My furnace is working fine. The overall experience was ok.

THIS IS A FAMILY OWNED BUSINESS. SEEMS VERY THOROUGH AND EFFICIENT.

HAVE A CONTRACT WITH MEMBER. CHECKED THE A/C IN APRIL, BUT DIDNT REALLY CHECK IT IN DEPTH. CHECKED EVERYTHING QUICKLY AND DIDNT WASH, VISUALLY INSPECT, TIGHTEN, OR CHECK ANYTHING VERY WELL. THEY JUST LOOKED INSIDE AND SAID, YEAH IT WORKS. NOW ONCE I NEED THE A/C TO WORK IT IS NOT WORKING. IT IS IMPORTANT TO HAVE IT WORKING BECAUSE OF A MEDICAL CONDITION I HAVE. I CALLED THEM BECAUSE IT IS MAKING A HORRIBLE NOISE AND THEY SAID THEY ARE BOOKED TODAY. I DIDNT USE IT FOR THE 2 AND 1/2 MONTHS SINCE IT HAS BEEN SERVICED. I DID IT IN APRIL TO AVOID THE RUSH. THEY SAID THEY WOULD SQUEEZE ME IN AT THE END OF THE DAY, BUT IT WOULD BE OVERTIME SO I WOULD BE CHARGED EXTRA. WE ASKED THEM TO KEEP VALVES UNCOVERED, BUT THEY COVERED THEM.
