Anything Worth Repairing

Excellent!, lamp was repaired perfectly.

Even better than expected and due to other reviews, my expectations were pretty high. The price was great, it didn't take long, and the work excellent. They said they would rewire, but that also included replacement of 4 sockets and two switches and a broken part that I did not anticipate would be replaced. Cannot say enough about the quality of the work. They came back into the house ready to hang.

Terrific! The repair ended up being more complicated than anticipated, but price was very reasonable. They had to make a new part to complete the new wiring, so it took a bit longer than planned. However, they completed the repair, making the lamp safe to use. The lamp is a family heirloom so we are grateful to have it.

I took the lamp to Lynn in early December. She diagnosed that the ballast was no good and she knew that there were likely no more available for this type of lamp, or if one was found the price would not be worth it. So we decided to rewire it conventionally to hold two CFL bulbs. She was quite busy and said it would not be ready before Christmas and would call when it was done. I really didn't need it quickly so the time was not an issue. She called on January 5th and we picked it up. She did a very good job and it's great to have our lamp back. We had other lamps rewired there several years ago.

When I called they were honest. They worked me in and I really appreciated it. They were very professional and said if I needed anything else to give them a call.

I took it home and when I pulled on the chain, the whole thing fell apart. I immediately thought they didn't do an underwriter's knot- which they didn't. I took the lamp back. She said, 'Oh that's so dangerous. I thought you had the top' (the wires were just sticking out of the top). I said I never had any such thing...and that I couldn't find the parts on the internet and that's why I took it here. They said they'd have to order a whole new part, etc. They ordered it and I went to pick up the lamp. It was just annoying that they couldn't do a simple re-wire/know what they were doing. My main point in writing this report was to bring this to member's attention. It was a safety hazard.

Always a pleasant experience to visit Anything Worth Repairing. Chair is now rock solid. This is the second piece of furniture I have had repaired there. Definitely worth the 20 min drive to the West Park area.

There was a period of time when it seemed like I was bringing things in to them for a week. They always do a very good job and it is a very good price for what they do.

I contacted Anything Worth Repairing after having no luck with finding an interesting coffee table for my 1929 craftsman style home. What I did have was the metal base (stand) from the house's original wash tub. I asked Lynn from Anything Worth Repairing if she thought the stand could somehow be incorporated into a coffee table. After some brainstorming, followed by sandblasting, painting, glass cutting, delivery and assembly, I have a beautiful, unique coffee table that incorporates a recycled, original element of my home.

Had not heard from company for awhile, so I called. She had other items to work on, but promised to have the lamp fixed before Thanksgiving, which she did.

I brought the lamp in and Lynn knew what the problem was. They fixed it in a matter of days for price quoted.

Very reasonable. She does so many different things. She fixed a lamp that was quite a bit of work for only $63. It was really old.

I BELIEVE THIS IS AN ALL-WOMEN COMPANY. I WAS IMPRESSED BY ALL OF THEIR PAST, VARIED WORK, EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS.

LYNN DID A BEAUTIFUL JOB. SHE OFFERED ADVICE ABOUT STAIN COLOR AND STRUCTURE OF THE DESK AND EVEN STAINED A TEST PIECE BEFORE SHE BEGAN THE PROJECT.

THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH WORDS TO DESCRIBE THIS HIDDEN TREASURE OF A SHOP! THE STAFF IS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND HONEST TO A FAULT. THEY TOLD ME EXACTLY WHAT I COULD AND COULD NOT EXPECT FROM THE LAMP. YOU SHOULD NOT BE IN HURRY FOR A PROJECT TO BE COMPLETED. BUT HOWEVER LONG THE WAIT IS, IT IS WORTH IT. THEY CALLED THE DAY IT WAS DONE, JUST LIKE THEY SAID THEY WOULD.

TRULY PLEASANT PEOPLE TO WORK WITH. A SMALL PROBLEM AROSE THAT WAS PROMPTLY CORRECTED, AND THE PROJECT WAS COMPLETED BEAUTIFULLY.

TIME TO REPAIR WAS QUOTED AS 3 WEEKS. WORK COMPLETED IN 10 DAYS. EXPECTED A BILL OF OVER $100, WAS PLEASANTLY SURPRISED TO ONLY PAY $26. CHAIR IS AS GOOD AS NEW. HONEST PEOPLE, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

THIS COMPANY OFFERED TO PICK UP, BUT I DROPPED OFF. WITHIN 10 DAYS THE PIECE WAS BACK AND WORKING GOOD AS NEW. THEY DID A QUICK JOB AND THE PRICE WAS RIGHT.
