Our old house was featured in a housing tour, prompting completion of repairs and restoration of two original, 100 year old, wrought iron hand rails installed on sandstone steps exiting a sunroom.  The hand rails supports were mostly rusted through and the upper rail caps were also rusted.  Our choice was to replace them with new rails or find a craftsman to restore the existing rails.  I pulled them out of the stone steps so a mason could repaired the steps and associated brick work.  Bill took the rails to his shop, removed the top covers to removed rust in the top channel and welded the covers back on.  He replaced rusted hollow vertical supports with solid verticals.  After the repair work was complete, he had the repaired rails sandblasted and painted with two-part epoxy paint.  Since the stone steps had been reset, he redrilled the holes and reinstalled the rails with molten lead.  Beautiful restoration work--prompt, accommodating and very competitively priced.  Bill is a wonderful craftsman, with some of the coolest hand made tools tools, including a 70 year old electric drill.   Highly recommended.

Due to settling of the steps and a harsh Cleveland winter, the hand rails had separated from the house, and several metal base plates attached to the step treads cracked and had to be replaced.  He fabricated wrought iron spaces to fill in the gaps between the rails and the masonry of the house, and now the rail is tight and as good as new.  He also painted the areas he worked on to match the rest of the iron work.  He called ahead to schedule the work and arrived on time and kept to his estimate.  Would definitely hire him again.

When I informed Bill of the urgency of the railing, he made an extra effort to replace the railing quickly. The new railing is excellent!
Highly recommended!

Bill is very knowledgeable. He suggested alternate methods of installation of the rails. His installation is very sturdy, neat, and looks beautiful.

From the beginning Bill was very responsive and thorough in completing this job. He asked me to describe the project and even email him pictures so that he would fully understand what we needed done. He was quick to respond and even made custom brackets so that our hand rails would sit more flush on the walls. During the time he was in our house he was very precise and made sure everything was aesthetically pleasing. Bill also left us touch up paint that matched our railings in case we needed it in the future, which was very nice. As he worked he was very careful and made sure everything was nice and clean when he left. We highly recommend Bill for any job involving wrought iron. He was extremely knowledgeable and obviously loves what he does.

Bill worked with me on price and did super high quality work.  Very neat & clean doing his work.  Railings installed 1 week later than agreed.  Very responsive to special design needed.

I was very pleased with the responsiveness and friendly service! My chair was repaired more quickly than I had expected and the work was well done. I was even given some extra touch up paint. All in all I highly recommend Bill and would certainly use him again.

The owner came on time,. gave us an estimate lower than a competitor, manufactured  and installed two two-step railings - one from the house into the garage and one from the back of the house into the back yard  They look great and we are very satisfied..

The restoration went as planned. The finished railing greatly enhances the appearance of the front of our house. The railing looks brand new.

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS HAS SPECIFIC RAILING CODES. AS SOON AS I EXPLAINED IT TO HIM HE WAS VERY ACCOMMODATING. HE DID A LOT OF WORK FOR $350. A WORD OF ADVICE CHECK WITH YOUR TOWNS BUILDING INSPECTION OFFICE FOR CURRENT SPECIFICATIONS FOR BUILDING CODES.
