B & B WATER HEATERS

B & B was recommended to me by my plumber. The sensor had failed on my 8-year old water heater. Mike was able to replace the part the same day I called at the price he had quoted. He quickly completed the job, plus he checked and cleaned all the parts, and he cleaned up afterward. I have no way of knowing whether the price was high or low, but it seems reasonable, and I’m completely satisfied with the work.

Mike came to my home on a Saturday afternoon. He check all the connections on my water heater and then started the pilot and burners to working again. He make several recommendations on maintaining the tank for a longer life. He did not charge me for his service. I highly recommend him for any water heater problems.

Mike came out the same day I called and looked at my water heater. He suggested that I should have my hot water tank replaced. He did not charge for the visit.

Very honest, fair, does a good job and comes out when he says he is going to come out. Price is fair for a master plumber.

Came back home after a work trip to find that there was no hot water coming from any tap. Checking the water heater I noticed there was an error sequence. Looking up the error code I saw it was pointing to a possible bad gas valve. I tried cycling power to the unit but kept getting the same error sequence.
Checking the Lochinvar website I saw that B & B Water Heaters was a listed support contractor and after seeing some other reviews on this site decided to give them a call. Mike confirmed the error I was having and was able to give a quote (part & service) based on the out of warranty unit. He had to get the part but was able to fit me into the schedule the same day.
Mike arrived on time, was presentable, had all the proper tools, & got the job done quickly & cleanly. Has a great personality & willing to explain the repair process. The new gas valve worked and I was able to get hot water again.

We came home late before New Year's Eve from a long trip and found out that our water tank is not working. Mike came to help us very promptly. He is a very nice guy and very very professional. He inspected the tank for a few minutes and found that our gas valve is broken and changed it. We finally have hot water in the cold winter day!

I had called B&B Water Heater and I talked to Mr. Barrett in regards to repairing or replacing my water heater. He said because my water heater was 26 years old that I would need a replacement. He said he will not do replacements and that he only does repair. I told him Angie's List gave me his number to do replacements and that I was going to call Angie's List to let them know he doesn't do replacements. He said "no don't call them" I said yes I'm going to call them so they know that you don't do replacements and again he said "no don't call them" I again said yes I'm going to call them because they told me you do replacements and now you're saying you don't. I felt like he wasn't telling the truth.

B and B was referred to me by Corsilla Plumbing. B and B responded promptly to my call. They came out the following day, replaced the part and suggested a couple things I could to keep the pilot clean.

Because of the skill of the company owner in trouble shooting my problem I did not have to pay for a service call or wait all day for plumber to show up. The direct vent waters are very complicated with mutiple controls and he knew exactly how to trouble shoot the problem.

All experiences we had with Band B were nothing short of professional! Don arrived on time for scheduled appointment and I had been notified ahead of time so that I could leave work and meet him at my house. After fixing the water heater, he vacuumed around the water heater's base and explained how we should do this as well. He also pointed out that we should replace the air filter in our furnace as well. They were really fabulous to deal with!!!

I couldn't have been happier. He came on time, knew what was wrong immediately, and rather than replacing the sensor for the gas pilot. He took it apart showed me what was wrong cleaned the probe and made a modification to the unit to help prevent this from happening again. He could have replaced the unit at a much higher price, but instead cleaned the old one and educated me so I can do it if it happens again. I wish all contractors were this honest, knowledgeable, and fairly priced. Highly recommended.

HOT WATER TANK NOT STAYING LIT, NO HOT WATER. CALLED PREVIOUSLY USED PLUMBER, HE GAVE A HUGE ESTIMATE, ALMOST AS MUCH AS A NEW WATER HEATER. PLUS I FOUND OUT HE WAS GOING TO REPLACE WRONG PART. HE CLEANED IT AND CHARGED HIS FEE. CALLED B and B, HE IMMEDIATELY KNEW WHAT WAS WRONG AND DID A GREAT JOB. HE HAD GREAT PHONE COMMUNICATION. ARRIVED WHEN HE SAID HE COULD. I think one of THE most difficult things for a service provider to deal with is the customer who calls and says, "I apologize for having to ask, but is there ANY way this can be fixed TODAY? Otherwise I have a real problem." That was my initial call to Band B (talked with Curt), and he said he'd do his best to get someone out today. About an hour later he called and said someone would be here in 20 minutes. Sure enough, the technician arrived (Don, I think?--sorry if that's wrong), and he was as polite and personable as can be. He diagnosed the problem very quickly, explained what had to be done to fix it, and then took care of it in a fairly short period of time. He even explained that this particular part was still covered under warranty and how to go about getting it covered. I simply could not have asked for anything more. Everything was handled as professionally as can be from start to finish.

Emergency call after power out/high wind call returned and appointment made. Tech on time, courteous, honest about explanations of repair.

I attempted to reschedule with Curt after canceling and he was very professional and responsive to my inquiries about his availability. I was pleasantly shocked he attempted to make availability in his schedule to fix my hot water tank. Even though it didn't work out, it was by no fault of Curt. I would definitely recommend him for a professional speedy response to plumbing issues.

It went very well. I called Curt and he was at the house within 30 minutes! Very responsive, and quick to suggest a simple repair rather than a full replacement (which other vendors did suggest).

Curt was punctual and professional.

GREAT EXPERIENCE. THEY WERE REFERRED TO ME BY ANOTHER COMPANY THAT TRIED TO SELL A NEW WATER HEATER. I ONLY NEEDED A REPAIR, and CERTAINLY DIDN'T NEED THE HIGH END UNIT THEY TRIED TO SELL. B and D DID GREAT WORK, REASSURED ME NO NEW UNIT WAS REQUIRED, and GAVE ME A REASONABLE QUOTE ON A NEW UNIT, IF ONE IS NEEDED LATER ON. I FELT SECURE and HAVE GREAT CONFIDENCE IN THEM.
