They were great. It took a few attempts to figure out what all the issues were with my DC4 rainbow vacuum (from 1986). They came through and got it working with even more suction than when I brought it in. I also was able to purchase a newer SE rainbow that someone had traded in so now I have a vacuum for each floor. I can not say enough good things - they really were awesome.

They did a good job. They were quite honest about what they could fix and not. I appreciated that. Their price is pretty fair. They did exactly what they told me. That's what I look for in a repair shop.

A couple weeks prior to our 10/27/12 visit, I dropped off my Electrolux Oxygen canister vac for an estimate for warranty work (parts of the carpet attachment and wand broke). I had only had the vacuum about 14 months so qualifying repairs should have been under warranty. I received a call about a week later: the repairs were not covered by the warranty because the sticker with the serial and model numbers on it was missing. It would cost about $170 to repair it. I called the company I bought it from and they said the model/serial sticker should've been on the underside of the vacuum. How it went missing I don't know.
Since the repairs weren't under warranty, I told All Makes not to repair it. I asked All Makes for recommendations on a durable, lower budget model; Miele and 2 others were recommended. I did some research online about Mieles. On 10/27, my husband and I arrived at the store to pick up our old Electrolux and look into a Miele model. Henry greeted us immediately. I told him we were there to pick up our old vacuum and to look at the Mieles. He showed us the lowest price Miele canister and thoroughly demonstrated its features. He seemed very knowledgeable. After about 45 minutes of discussion and demo, we decided to go with the Miele S2, the $599 model. He threw in a package of 4 bags ($20 value) for free.
Henry said he would provide free labor when we bring it in for annual maintenance and that we would only have to pay for parts: hepa filter $50 and carpet bar $60 (every two years). He said we would need to leave it for a couple days when we do bring it for maintenance. This was not given to us in writing so I hope he will keep his word about the free labor. He said the vac had a 2 year warranty on the motor and 5 year warranty on the rest. The 2/5 warranty was not available in writing either (I asked about it and Henry said it was on our account in their computer system).
The vacuum seems to work well. We are hoping that it will last 5 or more years. After having vacuums break every 2 years or so, we decided to try investing in a more durable model, paying a little more up front.

We haven't needed them in 2 years and that just shows how good they are.

Called and said what I needed. Henry said they could perform the services. My wife dropped the vacuum off, when Henry tried to convince her that a $400 vacuum would be a better option than a $70 fix. She seemed to think it was a bit high pressure. We declined, and our vacuum was fixed. I showed up a few days later to get my vacuum. I think Al was the name of the guy working when I went in. He couldn't find my upright in the computer, and seemed very annoyed with me because of this. I could see it from where I stood, and pointed it out to him. They had misspelled my name, and he offered no apology for his attitude. I asked some very innocent questions about the repair, and was met with short answers and a very rude tone.
I'd rather give my money to someone who appreciates my business. I won't be back.

I liked them very much. They were very honest. I was there a year or two ago because I had a problem with my vacuum cleaner and he talked me out of buying a new one and cleaned it out so that is why I went back to him. He was very straightforward and honest. I would absolutely use them again.

I went to them to have a vacuum repaired and was told the repair would cost as much as I paid for the original vacuum. I opted to purchase a refurbished vacuum instead. I received good service.

My complaint on All Makes Vacuum is that when I took it in to him he told me it would be done in two weeks. On the 14th day I called to check in and some very unprofessional fellow answered the phone and said he'd check and call me back and a couple of days went by and he never called me back. Well he said something like the part never came in which is fine with me but they should have called to update me. Then I called back a few days later and he said "Oh it's done you can come pick it up now." So I just thought that their customer service was very poor. They never even called me back, quite frankly the man I talked with wasn't the manager and spoke horrible english and just basically dropped the ball. The price was good, it they didn't charge an arm and a leg. For being in there I just think they are too much business and I think one might be a little bit overwhelmed.

I shopped around at the major dept stores for a new vacuum but I was sick and tired of the ultra modern models with all the hoses, attachments, and filters! They looked like rocket ships ready to take off from the launching pad. I wanted a basic, bagged vacuum with sturdy metal parts that would clean my carpets with good suction and edge cleaning! ALL MAKES VACUUM gave me personal service, NO HARD SELL, and had a good variety of models. I am very satisfied with the model I purchased and it cleans my carpet very well. ALL MAKES VACUUM serviced an older Eureka "BOSS" vacuum for me last year (new cord and cloth bag cover). I like them because they can supply and replace almost any vacuum part.
