I have used Rumpke refuse service for over seven years for trash/refuse pickup, over the last seven years we have experienced quality of service issues, delayed trash pickup,our trash cans damaged, or thrown in the ditch that caused damaged handles,  there driver placed stickers on our trash cans stating they were to far off the road 4 ft up the driveway on a country road.  I will be looking elsewhere for service.

They are very punctual.

They are a big outfit.  The truck comes around at four in the morning on Wednesdays.  They do fine.

.We have had a few issues by them not picking up our trash. Their pricing  is so so not the best but not the worst. Their responsiveness  was pretty good they sent someone back out to get the trash picked up. Usually they are there around the same  time each week. I will probably use them again.

We have used them for about twenty years. In the past year, we have been getting nasty notes on my trash can. They left one note saying that they didn't like my trash can, and I needed to buy another one. A trash can isn't even required by the company. I see the notes on other trash cans as well. They will not pick it up when they post the notes. Since the last issue was resolved I haven't received any more notes.

I am satisfied with all aspects of their services. What I do not like is that they charge for recycling.

They picked up my regular trash and left the pegboard lying on the street at the end of my driveway. I waited for the recycling to be picked up, they waked right over it and didn't touch it either. the recycling was collected and they left. I got in my car and drove around the subdivision and found the refuse truck on another street. I stopped and asked why this was not picked up, so he called his supervisor. (I tried 4 different numbers and get"closed for the weekend"). He said he thought it was recycling, and I told him how they(recycling truck)walked over it. He said he would come back to pick it up. About 20 - 30 minutes later, the trash truck comes back. I hear it backup and stop. then drove away. Pegboard wasn't touched and is still lying on the street at the end of my driveway. I'm going to file a complaint with the township and ask them to seek a more reliable refuse company. This is the second time my trash was not removed as contracted.

The service was fine - until I tried to cancel. Buyer beware! I have called them twice to cancel and I have sent two written notices. I keep getting a bill. The last time I called I spoke to a "supervisor" who said she would take care of it. Two weeks later, I received another bill. They are making me crazy. What else do I need to do to cancel my service?

Rumpke picks up curbside trash (in approved containers), recyclables, and misc refuse. They pick it up regularly and with good quality. If something falls from the container, they often do NOT pick it up, so scattered trash will sometimes occur. We had a local carrier previously and Rumpke has done a very good job of taking over and extending the service at a competitive rate. Trash removal is a utility managed by the Orange Township board. Since that I don't have a choice, I guess I'll keep 'em! They are a good company.

They are careful. They are very prompt. They do a good clean-up. They don't leave stuff around on the ground. The price shown is for three months. I had a lot of stuff to clean out especially with the storm. They have hauled everything away for me without a problem.

They are prompt and polite and they pick up odd things they find. Their prices have not been raised since we have used them. It remains modest and we can afford to keep using them (monthly).

I ended up changing to another company. They would skip our house and when I would call they were not customer friendly. I kept track of the missed pickups using a calendar and after receiving the bill I would have call back to get that corrected. It was more trouble than it was work. Very frustrating.

I have called multiple times about the problems: Failure to pick up trash, even though the bill was paid in full. Trash all over the front yard Half the trash can left full of trash with the lid off, and it rained...what a mess! I have left several voice mails for the manager of our area (Powell). He says he has tried to call me and cannot get in touch with me, that is baloney. He had my home, cell, and work number with extension and I never received any voice mails. I have requested a credit on our bill, and nothing has happened. This is terrible service, and I will research using another company.

It was not uncommon to have missed service. One billing cycle, we subtracted a week's charge from our bill because a week of service had not provided in the previous cycle. We received a call that this was not acceptable because we hadn't called about the service. Unhappy paying for services that were unreliable. We stopped using the service.

We feel that the service we receive from this company has declined significantly since we started to have to pay for this service ourselves. We have called the company to complain about the service. For example: not picking up yard waste, not taking trash because the cans are "too heavy", etc.

Rumpke does a good job and is reliable. On one occasion when they missed my house for some reason, I called them, and they promptly sent a truck back to collect my yard waste that same day.

Trash pickup is generally on time, no litter is left behind, and cans are left upside down to drain out. Rumpke does a good job.

The technician that has been working for me in the past year has been very good. He actually puts my bin back up by the garage, instead of the curb.

EXCELLENT SERVICE. WE USED ANOTHER COLLECTOR PRIOR TO OUR SWITCH TO RUMPKE AND WERE CHARGED MORE FOR LESS SERVICE. OUR OTHER COLLECTOR OFFERED NO RECYCLING. WE'RE THRILLED THAT RUMPKE IS PROACTIVE IN HELPING TO KEEP OUR ENVIRONMENT CLEAN - AND THEY MAKE IT EASY FOR US TO PARTICIPATE.

THEY HAVE NEVER MISSED A COLLECTION EXCEPT WHEN I FORGET TO PUT THE CANS OUT. THEY'RE VERY HARD ON MY TRASH CAN AS THEY JUST THROW IT DOWN WHEN THEY EMPTY IT. DUMPSTERS ARE VERY EXPENSIVE (OVER TWICE THE AMOUNT I GOT FROM A COMPETITOR).

THEY'RE GREAT.

THEY DO NOT PICK IT UP WEEKLY LIKE THEY ARE SUPPOSE TO. I HAVE NOT HAD SERVICE IN THE LAST COUPLE WEEKS. I CALLED AND ASKED TO SPEAK TO THE SUPERVISOR, WHO WAS NOT AVAILABLE. I HAVE ALSO ASKED TO SPEAK TO THE SUPERVISOR BOSS. I WOULD HIRE THE COMPANY AGAIN IF THEY PERFORMED BETTER.

REGULARLY, THE GARBAGE WAS NOT PICKED UP ON OUR STREET. WHEN I CALLED TO COMPLAIN, I WAS TOLD THAT MY GARBAGE CANS WERE NOT OUT ON TIME. ALL OF US PLACED OUR CANS OUT THE NIGHT BEFORE, SO THIS WAS A COMPLETE FABRICATION. WHEN I ASKED FOR A REFUND FOR THE MISSED PICK-UPS, I WAS TOLD THAT WAS NOT POSSIBLE. FOUR DIFFERENT TIMES I WAS TOLD SOMEONE WOULD CALL ME BACK, BUT THEY NEVER DID. WHEN I CANCELLED MY SERVICE, I WAS TOLD I COULD NOT RECEIVE A REFUND FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE QUARTER.

THEY ARE REASONABLY PRICED AND PUNCTUAL IN PICKING UP OUR TRASH EVERY WEEK. EVERYONE I HAVE TALKED TO IN THE OFFICE IS VERY PLEASANT. I CALLED ON JAN. 31, 2005 AND THEY BEGAN PICKING UP OUR TRASH ON FEB. 2, 2005.
