College Pro Painters

The painters were not trained. They did not know how to paint a straight line and there were no straight edges. There is paint on all of the seals around the doors, on door knobs, on my concrete driveway and many more places. They made 30 holes in my roof from the rope anchor and did not plug them. They damaged shingles and damaged wood on the roof. They spilt paint all over the roof. They ruined all of my gutters and downspouts .They didn?t prepare, they painted over debris. They painted the shutters so poorly that no painter will fix them, they have to be replaced. They painted stuff they weren?t even supposed to paint and didn't paint things they were suppose to paint. There were places that were not prepped. They painted the deck two different colors by mixing old paint with new paint. They left "skips" on the wooden deck where the paint was thicker in some places than others. They dripped paint all over my air conditioner. They didn?t even finish some of the areas trim. There was paint spilled all over the place. They left their supplies on the side of my house for two weeks and killed my grass. They were careless and everything has to be redone and repaired and even replaced.

They painted my porch pillars and the front of the house under the porch as well as the stucco around the roof of the porch. This was done after my porch was rebuilt.

We heard from him a couple of times, and then we had no responses at all. We eventually heard from a different guy who wanted to get started. Since we had gone through how we wanted the job done with the first guy, we just assumed this was a co-worker. After trying to call the first guy multiple times, the second guy finally told us the first guy was and quot;let goand quot; by the company. Our plan with the first guy involve scraping and sanding for prep, but the second guy's crew came in pressure-washed our soffits and eaves. We didn't want this because we didn't want water blasted into the holes in our soffits and into the attic, but they did it anyway. Then, the pressure-washing crew, sat on our patio at our table to eat their lunch without asking us. At this point, I called and requested a refund, which they agreed to provide. It did take about two weeks, but we did get the check. We have since got an estimate from a more professional company for $900 less. I would steer clear of these guys.

The young man was very professional. He was very detailed in his quote. He submitted a variety of options. He was knowledgable in his product. We ended up using another company to perform the work. If we had another home that needed painting, we would definitely give him another opportunity to quote the job.

This is a business that uses college students to do painting during their summer vacation. They came to my door in the spring lining up business. I had been thinking about getting some areas of my house touched up where paint was peeling or rust showing through old paint. The house just didn't need complete re-painting yet. The job included cleaning and preparation, getting a paint match, painting and cleanup. One guy, the owner, worked about 2-1/2 days on it. By the time he did it most of his workers had gone back to school. He was very conscientious and did a very good job. We took some work off the job because a chimney needed some repair work he couldn't do, but we renegotiated the price without any difficulty. My only concern was he wasn't proactive about notifying me that the work would be significantly delayed due to our very wet weather in the spring, and one time when he said he would come he didn't. Other than that I was very pleased.

College Pro Painters were great. They are college students that are out for the summer, that have been hired to paint. There is a supervisor on each job. They only do exterior painting. They came in about half the price as some of the other estimates I have received.
