I started using Wilfong when my furnace went out 2 days before Christmas about 6 or 7 years ago. They were responsive and professional. They took the time to really explain everything and my options. Since then I've used them for my yearly inspections as well as for an emergency call when my AC went out. They were quick to come out to check it out and fix it. I was told after the repair that it's getting time for a new one...I only wish they had told me prior to fixing it because I may have put that money toward just going ahead and purchasing a new one. However, I will definitely continue to use them and highly recommend them.

Wilfong is consistently professional, friendly and knowledgeable.  They take the time to explain what the issues are, and respond quickly to calls.  I will continue to use them for my HVAC needs and would recommend them.

The company owner came at the time promised and inspected the whole system looking for cause of failure, after I clued him in that the compressor was not running at all even though electricity was being supplied to the outside unit.  Wilfong traced and identified the problem as a leak which had caused all refrigerant (Freon 22) to escape.  He recommended replacing the unit.  No repair was attempted. The estimate for complete replacement included three options, all manufacturered by Carrier, with different efficiency ratings.  These were listed on the repair company's form; however, he did not provide us with any brochures or literature about the equipment he was quoting (contrary to other contractors who did).  Wilfong explained the rebates that were available with the higher-efficiency heat pumps (U.S. government, Duke Energy, Carrier).  He further asserted that the Carrier rebate was extended only through July, so that we would have only a few days to select it.  I found this a bit of a pressaure tactic, because he did not offer us an easy way to get the rebate while still obtaining other estimates.   Overall, the company found the problem, but it was alot to pay for troubleshooting given that our air conditioning still does not work.

They are very prompt and courteous. I have been using this company for about fifteen years. When they work they are neat, and they have competitive prices. This company is very trustworthy.

I am so impressed on how they follow up and how they come to check that everything is the way it is supposed to be. When I call them they are usually here within an hour or two. They are just so professional and they are very clean. They don't use any vulgar language. They are very polite and thorough.

They gave me an estimate of the cost to replace of $420 and after several weeks of delays because I wasn't available, they came in and replaced the humidifier in an hour. They ran into some problems, because of the way that the old humidifier was installed. They quickly worked around those and finished the installation. Price was as estimated.

From beginning to end, this was a pleasant experience. Robert Wilfong came first to look at our system to determine whether we could work with the old furnace. Only once it was clear that the old furnace needed to go, did he discuss options for a replacement furnace. He provided us with several options. After we made our selection, the new furnace was ordered and installed, as promised.  Everyone with whom we dealt was pleasant and the work was performed exactly as promised. The work site was left neater than it had been before the work was done.

WORK SEEMED ALL RIGHT, BUT WITHIN DAYS I NOTICED A RATTLE. I CALLED RIGHT AWAY AND WAS TOLD TO WAIT ANOTHER 4 WEEKS TO SEE IF IT GOT WORSE, IT DID. THEY AGREED TO COME AND CHECK IT. DIAGNOSED A REPLACEMENT NEEDED FOR INDUCER BECAUSE OF WORN BEARINGS. ESTIMATE $427. I WANTED TO DECIDE LATER. I WAS PRESENTED WITH A BILL FOR $74 EVEN IF I AGREED TO HAVE A/C WORK DONE. THEY LOST 2 CUSTOMERS THAT DAY. (IT TURNED OUT REPAIR WAS UNNECESSARY)
