We went in to buy a 15 x 30 foot oval pool. They were like, "Oh well, we don't have a 15 x 30 in stock, we do have a 18 x 33, so we can deliver it to you immediately." I was like, "Great, we'll go with that," for an additional four grand. So, we got a larger pool. At the time, it was 7 to 10 days to install, from date of delivery. So I said, "Okay, we want the one you have in stock, deliver it as soon as possible." So they delivered it the following Thursday. So, I called them up and I said, "Okay, I got my pool, when can you install it?" Suddenly, now, they're out 2 to 3 weeks. So now, we're looking at the last week in June. I told them, "We're leaving on a trip to go to California on June 30. So, we're not going to be in town." They're like, "Okay, so we can do it when you get back." I was like, "So you're talking the middle of July that you're going to get it installed." There was a lot of lip service. I was talking to the sales guy. I said, "Okay, can they come out, do the dirt work in the morning?" Because I live in the country, there is no restrictions. As soon as they can see they can start digging. There is no HOA or anything like you can't start working before nine o'clock in the morning or any of that nonsense. If they can see, they can work. So I was like, "Can they do the dirt work, finish that and immediately start installing the pool?" They were like, "Well, yeah, they should be able to do that." So I was like, "Look, we're going to be back July 12. I'm off work July 13," because I was going to need to be here for the installation. We got it scheduled for July 13, they were going to do dirt work in the morning and they were going to install in the afternoon. We got it all settled. So, I was in California. About 8th or 9th, I was watching the news, it had been raining and crappy weather. I called them up and said, "We're still on for 13th?" They were like, "Absolutely" I called them on the 10th, "We're still on for 13th?" They were like, "Absolutely" I called them on the 11th, "Okay, I'm watching the weather here. It looks pretty bad, we're still on?" They were like, "Yeah, we're still on." I was like, "Okay, great." The morning of the 12th, I get a call, "Well, something happened, you're not on the schedule." I was like, "What the hell are you talking I'm not on schedule?" They were like, "I don't know what to tell you blah blah blah" Anyway, we didn't get the pool installed until probably the last week of July. This was with a lot of back and forth, calling them constantly, ranting and raving. I told them, "Look, if this is not installed this weekend, you can come back out and pick this up and get it out of my garage. It has been sitting here for two months." I was livid. They were able to get somebody to install the pool. So the pool that we were supposed to be able to enjoy through June and the last half of July when we got back from vacation, we didn't get installed until the end of July, and then, filling with water and everything else, basically it was August. So, I'm extremely unhappy with them. They've assured me that they're going to grant us some accommodations. We haven't gone back to discuss it with them. We're planing on doing it this Saturday because we've just had too much other stuff going on. So, we'll see what accommodations they have. But, at this point, I would not recommend Watson's. Their sales service is great. They can sell ice creams to Eskimos, they can sell anybody anything. Now, whether that's a good thing or bad thing I don't know. But, I feel like I bought a used car and it's a lemon. It's like, "That's it, you bought it, you keep it." I don't know if that's the fault of the salesman, the fault of the service group. I don't know who is to blame, I don't care who is to blame. My problem is, I spent a whole lot of money, more than I had originally intended, buying a pool they had in stock to get it installed immediately and I got a run around. I followed all of their instructions for preparing the site to eliminate problems with moles. By the look of things, I may have to pull out my liner next year and re-sand it because I have so many ruts and divots and holes, sags in the liner where moles have gone underneath and the liner is now stretched. I don't know if their site preparation was inadequate. They said to put lime down, I put a lot of lime down, I put pesticide down, I put herbicide down, I did everything I could to make sure that nothing was living under where the pool was going to be installed. I asked them, "What is the purpose of lime?" They were like, "Well, that is to repel moles." After I started having problems with moles and all these big sags and divots in the bottom of my pool, I called the local extension service from Purdue and they said, "Lime is going to condition the soil, but it's not going to do anything for moles. I don't know what to tell you about the pool, I can't answer that. But, what they told you is not going to do anything for moles." So, it was kind of like that was a waste of time and money and labor and everything else. So, needless to say, I'm somewhat dissatisfied with their advice.
