The food was outstanding as well as the setup and cleanup and it was a bit pricey. The servers were outstanding and made our reception run smoothly. We received many favorable comments from Guests about the food and service.
Would definitely recommend them for any catering need and would use them again.

We had an excellent experience from start to finish. One of our friends had used Vonderhaar's to cater their daughter's graduation party and we were impressed with the food and service they provided to our friends. We looked at at their excellent website to,get some preliminary ideas about the menu of both food and services that Vonderhaar's provides. We then contacted Vonderhaar's about catering our daugher's reception, and were invited to a and quot;tastingand quot; where we met Jan Riordan, who helped us plan the event. Jan is very experienced and was very helpful. She was sensitive to our wishes, and her expertise was invaluable to us in making the right selections of the food menu, linens, plates, glasses, flatware, etc. She didn't try to sell us more than we needed, and was very sensitive to our budget.
Vonderhaar's has the whole package to service your event. They can do as much or as little as you need, depending on your event. They have an extensive selection of food, and can provide all the trimmings, including complete bar service.
Our daughter wanted something more casual so we selected a buffet menu that featured barbecued ribs and chicken, which Don Vonderhaar grilled on site at the reception venue using one of his mobile grills, and several side items. They provided all the servers, set ups, and bartenders. They arrived promptly, set everything up and served the meal very efficiently. During the meal, their servers were very attentive to our guests. After the meal, they cleared all the plates, glasses, etc. They provided us with a coordinator who was with us for the entire event, and when the evening was over, they helped up clean up.
One of the best things about Vonderhaar's beverage service is that you only pay for what you use. We didn't have to buy entire cases of wine and get stuck with partial cases - we only had to pay for what was used...by the bottle.
In our experience, they were reasonably priced, the service was impeccable and we'll definitely use them again. Ask for Jan - she's the best.

We met with Don Vonderhaar to taste some of their food for our wedding reception. Don was very professional and friendly. He was very honest and upfront about ways we could save money on catering. We met with other caterers and found Don to be the most genuine. We have hired them to cater our reception. I can let you know how amazing things went after June 14th, 2008. ($4,000)

Everything ready on time as promised and hot. Rave reviews from our guests. Not only did they help me with planning the quantity needed, they even called their supplier to verify that the products were gluten free as we had several guests with celiac disease. They were able to cater our event with limited notice. We were so pleased we used them a second time two months later with different meats and received equal quality.
