Do to a cancellation I was offered an immediate installation date. The installers called prior to their arrival and were on time. The installation took 2 1/2 hours. The installers were very polite and didn't mind me observing the complete installation. They also showed me in my walls were there was no insulation.
When done everything was put pack on my house and holes were filled. The installers cleaned up everything and were careful of my wife's flowers.
I was very pleased with my experience with USA Insulation and would recommend their services.

The process from the first call to finishing the job went very smoothly. The way this process works is that foam is
injected into the wall cavity as a liquid. What happens is any ?leaks?, mainly
wall plates, the foam comes into the house.
The good news is that everywhere this happened, it meant that the house
was now sealed from the outside air. Of course, the bad news is that there was
foam to clean up.
As I said earlier, I had been looking at doing this for several years,
and now, looking back, I wish I done this sooner. This is an unusual product, it?s not cheap
to do, and when it?s done, you don?t see any real change.
But this is one of those products that does what it?s advertised to do
and does it well. The oddest thing is
that, now that it?s done, the house is quieter, which is a side effect of the
process.
But what I think most people want to know is: did it help reduce our
heating bill? The answer is ?yes?. Again, as said earlier, I?m DIYer,
and since we moved into this house I?ve been working on reducing our
utility bill, but I didn?t want to just
do something and not be able to measure
how well it had worked. I also wanted
to measure the changes against units of energy. I know this is starting to sound like it was
really complicated, but it?s not; it?s like calculating mpg for our house.
To do the calculation, you need to know Kw per month of electricity, and
CCF of gas per month. The final element is degree day value for the month. I use the NORA web site to get that value
for my city (http://www.cpc.ncep.noaa.gov/products/analysis_monitoring/cdus/degree_days/)
Just like mpg, the calculation is (degree days for month)/(KW + CCP).
The reason this calculation is important is because it measures weather
condition over energy used; this handles issues such as mild winters or a
really hot summers.
So with that explanation of the numbers, here is a comparison of last
year without the insulation against this year with it.
For the period from Oct 2012 to Jan 2013, the difference has been 15%
reduction in energy usage. You?ll notice
that I have not said ?a 15% difference in utility bills?. The bills are down, but the cost per unit is
more this year, so the dollar savings is about $25.00 per month so far.
This is a product that does not cost anything once it?s done; there is no
maintenance cost. I think this product
will really provide the greatest benefit on houses built before 1970. My house
was built in 1960, and we use both gas and electric heat, so this made a big
difference, even in how the house feels.
Would I do this again? Yes!
