The Original Mattress Factory - Cincinnati

I visited the store twice -- once to test out the various mattresses and the second time to purchase one. The salespeople do not push but can answer any questions. I purchased a queen size orthopedic luxury firm mattress and box springs (Consumer Reports recommendation) and a center support for my existing bed frame. The delivery was a couple of days later and all went well. The delivery people took away my old mattress/box springs for $10. I am very happy with my purchase.

Wonderful. Better that planned. I had brought my Dad in to this store a year ago and he has been pleased with his set of mattresses, so I thought I'd visit this location for my bedding project a year later. I needed to raise my bed about 3-4 inches from the floor and figured I could accomplish that by dumping on another mattress to what I already have. I came in with no understanding of the risks associated with the old fashioned practice of stacking mattresses, yet the salesman pointed those risks out to me upfront. I was prepared for an expense of over $300 to solve the problem, as I thought that "stacking mattresses" was my only practical option, and I had very little time to spend on this. I'm a caregiver with only a small amount of time to spend on stuff like this. The salesman at The Original Mattress Factory in Fairfield was kind and patient, and explored all of my options with me. He could have been greedy -- like 99% of the stores and businesses these days, and he could have sold me the most expensive box spring on the floor, without ever asking me any questions about my project and without ever sharing any of his knowledge with me -- but he did not do that. After reviewing all of the options with me, I asked him to go back over the "bed riser" option, which he did do, to my full understanding. He even explained what I would need to do from a mechanical standpoint, to have the risers and stems function with my bed frame. He even told me to come back if this did not work. He sold me the risers and my problem is totally solved at a fraction of the cost I thought I had to shell out. Thank you for your honesty and integrity -- I wish more companies did business this way. She pointed out the features that I wanted and how they were better than competition.

She used cut outs of her and competitors' mattresses.

She was very knowledgeable, professional, and had a gentle sense of humor.

After he gave me the price it was made up in 5 or 6 days and we picked it up. I ended up sleeping on it myself rather than giving it to my company since it was so comfortable. I was very happy and it was wonderful.

I ordered a very specific mattress and box spring to be delivered to my father.  When they arrived, the box spring arrived it was not the one we chose and paid for. We needed a low-profile box spring, they delivered a regular height box spring and will not replace it. They've been very rude to both me and my father.
