I called and left a message. I was called back very quickly. I was given excellent advice for no charge. If I have more trouble I would immediately call the moleman.

Trapping has been going on and is going well, but not done. I have used this service before and you have to be patient as it takes months to rid the property of moles. It does work over time. My neighbor also has moles infestation and in fact this is partially why I am experiencing mole arrivals. So the project will be finished a few months from now.

I think the price was fair, good. I call him and he comes and he does what does what he needs to do. He was responsible in that way.

The Moleman comes in the spring when they moles start running around underground. I don't know what he does with them. He provides what he says he will provide.

Mole man wasn't interested in the work. Tried getting me to use someone else. Then he hung up on me.

good job but VERY pricey
Response from The Moleman

"Ms. [Member Name Removed] has the moleman confused with another mole trapper. We last worked for the Woolards in 2010. Our trapping season includes all trapping and follow-up through December of a given year. We have not worked for her since 2010. The Moleman is trademarked so another trapper cannot use the name. People should pay more attention to who they hire. Tom Schmidt"

Always prompt and always effective in trapping moles.  As soon as I see new activity, an email to Tom results in someone coming out within a day or two.   It is much better use Moleman than have the dog ruin the yard.
Since using Moleman, the dog rarely digs for moles.

Came back in two weeks - no moles.  If they stayed in the ground there would be another $275 fee for the next visit with or without capturing any critters - no thank you.
Response from The Moleman

"Moles come and they can leave on their own. The short term work that we did for this lady seemed appropriate because the extensive damage appeared to be active or recent. No way to really tell. Well set traps will trap an active mole the same day they're set. The mole that was in her lawn came directly from the woods and through a neighboring property. I set four traps and they were inspected on at least three other occasions over a three week period. There were no signs of any recurring mole activity since I had originally walked all of the mole damage down. The mole or moles just didn't come back through the tunnels. Just happens on occasion. Since the original agreement was for two weeks of trapping and monitoring, we pulled the traps. The traps were originally set on June 21, 2014 and would have trapped any and all active moles over the trapping period. I try to provide as much information as possible about moles and their behavior. See under "Control" [hyperlink removed] the following. "Moles may leave an area if disturbed but will usually return when you least expect it. Even without disturbance mole activity may last only a week or two in a particular area. This here-now gone-tomorrow behavior is probably the root of most of the subjective misconceptions that make some home remedies including moleicides appear credible" Terry Yates & Richard Pederson (1982) “Moles are probably the least understood major component of the North American mammalian fauna.” And I might add, still are. We always do the best job possible. Tom Schmidt"

I told him I had moles 5 years ago that I self treated with plastic worms. Tunnels were very visible at that time. Last year I had a different area of the yard that had a 12ft length of dead grass that had sunk in a little which seemed to be a tunnel. I have not seen anything this year but I wanted him to come out to check. He said he doesn't do that. I told him that Moles are his line of work, not mine, and that he should make the call as to whether I have moles or not. He rattled off something like "you either have moles or you don't", & he doesn't have time to look at everybody's yard. He had a rather arrogant tone with me & kept interrupting me earlier when I was explaining my prior experience with moles. At this point I commented that it doesn't sound like he is much interested in my business & I told him I would call someone else, which I did. The other company was more than willing to come out to evaluate my yard.
Response from The Moleman

"Greenery Lane is five minutes from my home. With thirty years experience answering calls from homeowners who have mole problems, I sometimes have to rely on descriptions of the problem. I f [Member Name Removed] would have just asked that I look at her "mole problem" I would have. She said she "thought she might have moles" and I asked what made her think she had moles. The story went from using poisons (that moles can't eat) to a line of dead grass. She said it was depressed. Moles raise tunnels and make mounds this time of year. I did ask that she step the area down. If it was a mole, it would be raised in a day or two. She seemed determined to have me look at the yard. In my years of just working with moles problems, I've been called out for everything from chipmunk holes, ant hills, mice and even dog dumps. If you have problems with moles, you will know it and you will surely be able to describe the damage. [Member Name Removed] could do neither. Her own complaint states "I have not seen anything this year" so she obviously does not have a mole problem. May and June are our busiest months of the year. We get many mole calls and don't have time to look at properties that don't have moles. [Member Name Removed] also didn't seem like she cared to listen to good advice. I was just trying to honest with her. Win some, lose some. Tom Schmidt Professional mole trapping since 1986."

Within 4 hours, we had caught two moles. Two more hours later, two more moles. Within the next few weeks, we had eradicated 7 moles, and have no more mole activity. We now know where and how to set the traps ourselves should they come back in fall or next spring. Tom was professional, to-the-point, and got the job done. We'd recommend him to anyone with mole problems.

I could not be more pleased with the service I have received from Sarah at The Moleman. She is friendly, professional, and she really knows what she is doing. She has made it easy to do business with The Moleman. We have caught a mole every time Sarah has set mole traps for us.

"Thanks for the great review! I'm sure you've trapped way more than 11 by now. Keep up the good work, and remember to be pro-active and MORE persistent than the moles! - Sara"

My yard was ruined by moles.  I decided to contact the Moleman and his daughter, Sara contacted me back right away. She promptly visited my property, gave me an estimate, and once I accepted that, she started within a few days.  Within a few months, most of the moles were gone.  They continued to monitor the property, but not as frequenty since they had trapped most of them. Not only did she trap and dispose of them, she took care of the mole hills so I didn't have to.

Didn't 't use him
Response from The Moleman

"All properties and mole problems are different. Difficulty in trapping can be a result of the length of time someone has had a problem. Landscapeing and size of the lawn will affect price. I would like to drive a Lexus but I don't because of the price. That doesn't mean Lexus is a bad car."
