"Ms. [Member Name Removed] has the moleman confused with another mole trapper. We last worked for the Woolards in 2010. Our trapping season includes all trapping and follow-up through December of a given year. We have not worked for her since 2010. The Moleman is trademarked so another trapper cannot use the name. People should pay more attention to who they hire. Tom Schmidt"
"Moles come and they can leave on their own. The short term work that we did for this lady seemed appropriate because the extensive damage appeared to be active or recent. No way to really tell. Well set traps will trap an active mole the same day they're set. The mole that was in her lawn came directly from the woods and through a neighboring property. I set four traps and they were inspected on at least three other occasions over a three week period. There were no signs of any recurring mole activity since I had originally walked all of the mole damage down. The mole or moles just didn't come back through the tunnels. Just happens on occasion. Since the original agreement was for two weeks of trapping and monitoring, we pulled the traps. The traps were originally set on June 21, 2014 and would have trapped any and all active moles over the trapping period. I try to provide as much information as possible about moles and their behavior. See under "Control" [hyperlink removed] the following. "Moles may leave an area if disturbed but will usually return when you least expect it. Even without disturbance mole activity may last only a week or two in a particular area. This here-now gone-tomorrow behavior is probably the root of most of the subjective misconceptions that make some home remedies including moleicides appear credible" Terry Yates & Richard Pederson (1982) “Moles are probably the least understood major component of the North American mammalian fauna.” And I might add, still are. We always do the best job possible. Tom Schmidt"
"Thanks for the good review [Member Name Removed]! It was a pleasure working with you."
"Greenery Lane is five minutes from my home. With thirty years experience answering calls from homeowners who have mole problems, I sometimes have to rely on descriptions of the problem. I f [Member Name Removed] would have just asked that I look at her "mole problem" I would have. She said she "thought she might have moles" and I asked what made her think she had moles. The story went from using poisons (that moles can't eat) to a line of dead grass. She said it was depressed. Moles raise tunnels and make mounds this time of year. I did ask that she step the area down. If it was a mole, it would be raised in a day or two. She seemed determined to have me look at the yard. In my years of just working with moles problems, I've been called out for everything from chipmunk holes, ant hills, mice and even dog dumps. If you have problems with moles, you will know it and you will surely be able to describe the damage. [Member Name Removed] could do neither. Her own complaint states "I have not seen anything this year" so she obviously does not have a mole problem. May and June are our busiest months of the year. We get many mole calls and don't have time to look at properties that don't have moles. [Member Name Removed] also didn't seem like she cared to listen to good advice. I was just trying to honest with her. Win some, lose some. Tom Schmidt Professional mole trapping since 1986."
"Thanks for the kind words! I've enjoyed getting to know you and your husband. We appreciate your business!"
"Thanks for the great review! I'm sure you've trapped way more than 11 by now. Keep up the good work, and remember to be pro-active and MORE persistent than the moles! - Sara"
"All properties and mole problems are different. Difficulty in trapping can be a result of the length of time someone has had a problem. Landscapeing and size of the lawn will affect price. I would like to drive a Lexus but I don't because of the price. That doesn't mean Lexus is a bad car."
