They are very reasonable in regards to pricing. They are kind, courteous and prompt. I am also having them inspect the sewer line and ream it out.

Despite having used other service providers in the past for a similar issue, we decided to take advantage of our Angie's List membership to find someone to assist with this emergency repair. We contacted Tarvin Plumbing based on their availability and Angie's List ratings. FYI - "After Hours" calls (and the increased rate that goes with that) appear to start after 4pm or 4:30pm (I am not 100% clear on that, but it didn't matter since we called just after 4:30pm). It did take some time for them to respond to the "emergency" page (maybe an hour or more), and in fact we were in the process of trying other companies when we finally received a response. I will say that the service tech that came out that evening and the service tech that arrived the next day were both very courteous/professional. I also feel that overall, we believe the work was completed correctly and the second technician completing the work tested everything thoroughly before he left which I appreciated! Also, both technicians were very open to answering any questions we had while they were here, though we didn't get the follow-up we had expected from the first technician. However, the fact that it took two visits to complete the repair is the primary reason for a rating other than an "a", along with the total price for the repairs (which were higher than anyone else we've used). The extra day to fix the issue bothered me so much that I am not sure if we would use them again (we were left without the ability to use/run water over night, and that's a major problem with a baby in the home). Unfortunately we have had a sewer ejector go out more than once, and it had always been remedied in one visit with the other service providers (even if the call was later in the evening). I really don't understand why the work wasn't completed during the first visit - especially since this was not a middle of the night emergency. I have no doubt the company would do quality work, and I certainly hope we have better luck with this ejector, but for now I'll have to give an "it depends" on whether or not we would use Tarvin Plumbing again. I would definitely highly recommend Dave, who was the second technician assisting us.

Everything I had called about was fixed as I had requested. The plumber noticed that our pressure regulator was not doing its job. I happened to have another valve which he installed Everything was done quickly , on time and to my satisfaction.

During a remodel of our bathroom, I decided to move the vanity over a few inches and, in the process, replace a water supply pipe that leaked occasionally in the past. My welding capabilities, however, are pretty limited, and it was a very tight space ... so I totally butchered the job and decided to call a professional instead to help fix it. I got on Angie's List and saw their Big Deal with Tarvin Plumbing ($54 for one hour of service), and they were able to send someone out later that day to make the repair. He sweated my sloppy joint, installed new pipes and joints, and had everything working in less than an hour ... and he even allowed me to stay in there and learn from him, patiently explaining everything that he was doing so I could do it again myself next time. The parts he used were about double ($17) of what I could've gotten them for at a big box store, but that's to be expected when they're delivered and installed in person. Overall, great response, service, and I'm very satsified!

The plumber from Tarvin were on-time, efficient and polite. He investigated the problem, made a few adjustments and with the time left over fixed another minor problem in the ouse without upcharging. Have not had a problem since and will call again in the future.

They were nice. There were no issues but nothing exceptional. For that coupon cost the only thing they could do was diagnosis the problem. The cost of materials would be more. They were very responsive.

When our kitchen sink backed-up due to a clog deep in the pipes, we were in desperate need of help. We had family coming into town later in the afternoon, and the first two plumbers I called could not accommodate such a short notice, and one was openly rude. Then I called Tarvin Plumbing, and not only were they considerate and helpful, they arranged their schedule to respond in the morning so that the sink could be back in operation by the time our guest arrived. When Tarvin Plumbing arrived, they listened to the troubleshooting I had done the previous night, and they allowed me to show them what I thought the issue might be rather than wasting time to determine the issue themselves. This allowed them to immediately find not only the issue but also discover a weak joint that was improperly installed by the builder. They explained everything in detail to me and guided me through their work so that I had a keen understanding of not only what they were doing but also how to avoid the issue in the future. In no time at all, they quickly accessed the pipe from my basement and ran an industrial strength snake up to the clog, breaking it out and allowing the pipes to empty. They also fitted a new connection to the pipe where the leak was slowly dripping in my basement. They completed both of these tasks in less than an hour and cleaned up everything quickly and completely, leaving me plenty of time to get the kitchen back into order before our company arrived.

They arrived early in the morning when they said they would. They did the job quickly and professionally. They were polite, clean, and quiet, which is important first thing in the morning in this household.

Called on a Monday late in day and decided to wait until next day rather than pay for an emergency premium. They showed up on scheduled. Had them come out initially because the water heater was apparently leaking. As it turned out the connection to the reducing valve was leaking. However we decided to go along with a scheduled versus unscheduled replacement of the 19 year old water heater also. They completed installation on scheduled and within the estimate. Would us them again for future projects.

We were satisfied with their attempt but wound up going to the county to fix the problem since it was on the county end of the plumbing line.

Extremely professionally handled.I was at work, and the technician spoke to me on more than one occasion to explain repairs over the phone (my adult daughter was at home).

Our experience with them has been excellent.

They were very professional. All of the workers were courteous and friendly. They cleaned up after themselves quite well. Once there was a miscommunication, when I called about it my call was returned and they apologized for the inconvienance. There was a couple of times when I had to leave & I asked them to put food down for our dog at a certain time & they did. We have asked them to also finish a half bath that we started, but don't know where to go from here. Tarvin was happy to do the extra work & it will be finished at the end of February.
