It turned out really well. I like their responsiveness, courtesy on the phone, and it was a totally positive experience from start to finish. I would use them again.

Tarvin performed a variety of tests and found absolutely no leak. We paid the service charge only and had them look at some other things that need repair. Their bid was quite reasonable - less than the first company for this additional work

After reading their reviews, I purchased a deal for half off an hour of plumbing work from Angie's list for this company. Dave arrived on time & was very friendly, keeping me updated on everything that was being done. He replaced a part in the kitchen faucet...works perfectly. The drain also runs perfectly. Highly recommend this company!

They arrived on time, cut out the broken piece, augered out the line that had severe clogging, and then repaired the line. This took about an hour. They did a great job.

I had them come out to install a toilet. He took out the old one very quickly and prepped the new one. Right as he got the new toilet on there it began to leak. The seal on the back was broken, we didn't even flush once. The toilet itself had a defect. Being a brand new home owner and the fact that everything that could possibly go wrong did, leading up to this point I was noticeably discouraged. The worker said that he's installed 1000s of toilets and only seen this a couple times (my luck). He most likely felt bad and charged me only for the seal which was 7 dollars. I went back and got another toilet and they came out the next day and installed in 30 minutes. When everything was going wrong, I believe this company did it right. I would definitely use them again for any plumbing issues.

Sometimes the real story is in what happens after the fact - and not the service itself. I had a problem in my basement on the 4th of July. my basement flooded, and I had used Tarvin in the past. I called Tarvin, and they had a crew out on the 5th. The crew spent 3 or so hours trying to find a problem, I had several clean outs, and did not know which was closest to the street. After trial and error, The tarvin crew found the appriate clean out and began work. Unfortunately, they did not carry equipment that was long enough to reach the clog. They did find some blockage but they did not solve the problem. Their recommendation was to get a camera in the sewer to find the blockage and go from their, probably to dig up the drain - which would have been a major job. Fortunately, I had hired another crew to do the same thing, and they were able to fix the problem. NOW TO THE REAL STORY I sent an email to Mike Tarvin explaining my dissatisfaction and the reason why. Mike responded immediately (same day), indicating that he would investigate. the next day I received a very professional email back from Tarvin, which provided some additional detail, some professional opinion, but general agreement that the job was not done satisfactorily - and with an offer for a 100% refund. I must admit I was flabbergasted by the offer and happily surprised. However, I could not accept a 100% refund, because I knew the crew worked hard. So we settled quickly with both parties feeling happy about the experience, and my commitment to use them again in the future. They say it takes 12 positive actions to make up for 1 poor experience. The Tarvins have found a way to reduce this to 1 step - Thanks

Performed a drain cleaning on my basement shower. Unclogged a pretty good clog. Quick and painless. Friendly and no hassles. Cost was cheaper than usual due to an Angie's List coupon. The fact that it was a rental property owned by me was no issue for them. (Thompson refused to do the service since I was renting the property - even though both myself and the tenant were to be present and even though I had a service agreement with them.)

Very well, really nice job. Looks great, works great. Would definitely hire them again.

The provider was prompt and courteous. He quickly resolved the problem.

What they did was fine, but they gave us a very high bid for the toilets. We live in a nice neighborhood and people tend to jack prices up. I would call him for bids in the future, but I would call someone else as well for comparison purposes.

On a positive note, Tarvin Plumbing was able to squeeze my appointment in just two days after I called them with the inquiry. Other than that, it was average at best. I had purchased a universal toilet repair kit from home depot that included a new fill valve. The plumber (never introduced himself so I didn't get his name) immediately tried to up-sell me to use their product, assuring me that I could return the other items to Home Depot. Reluctantly, I purchased the fill valve and accessories from him for more than 2x what I paid at Home Depot. To make matters worse, they look virtually identical to the parts I already had. The job itself took almost 1.5 hours, which is far too long for the amount of work that was completed. Every plumber I called said the work could be done in around 30 minutes. I don't think I should have to pay extra just because this plumber works at a slower pace. I'll go elsewhere next time I need plumbing work.

Great service! We needed new copper pipes roughed in for a new bathtub (drain, new faucet/shower lines) and a new toilet line run. We also had a leaky water heater. Everything went great-I would highly recommend Tarvin plumbing!

They came on time each morning and were professional. They did quality work and I'm happy with the results. The only knock is that they did come in a little over the high range of their estimate.

They don't start charging you for time until they get to your house. Has reasonable rates. Do good work. Prompt service.

Identified water pressure problem which root cause was water softener but they do not repair water softener

2 neat & clean ( of course, it was the first call of the day) plumbers showed up on time, preformed service, showed me that it was in good working order, and presented the bill. Pretty basis, but pretty easy.

they told us to come in for estimate and they would charge upfront cost as agreeable. But If we decided to do it, they will not charge the estimate fee. I decided to do it and the services were performed. However, I got the coupons that bought from here. They will not honor that. They said they can only take one coupon at the time. Because I already had the estimate waived. They would have to take the full price for the services. I totally disagreed to this. I did not use the coupon yet, we agreed the price and want to get start the process right away, the upfront estimate fee that shouldn't be charged anyway. I"m not even using any coupon yet. That being said, they should take the coupons that we bought on the Angie List. Well, the lessons learned!!!

Our plumber from Tarvin Plumbing was prompt and very professional. He seemed very knowledgeable in fixing our leaks. I called Tarvin on Tuesday morning and before noon, he was here and worked steadily for several hours.

Definately was a bargain. I was very pleased with the service, very professional. The plumber offered a quote for some additonal services.

They did an excellent job and I am very happy with them.

Called Mike in the morning. Requested help with a non-working water heater. Mike accommodated me since we were heading into a weekend. Jim was the technician who showed up. Very punctual, professional and courteous. Job was done right and at a reasonable market price. I would highly recommend these guys. I am glad to have gone with them after reading the Angie's list reviews. I found our plumbing guys.

They were great. I called them because our sink was stuck. He has been out a few times for different things. He always professional and on time. He said to put water in both sides and all of sudden it started gurgling and whatever it was broke away and went away. Most plumbers would have just come out and charged me $85. I call him the plumbing genie. He does not even need to come to your house, you can just call him on the phone and all of your problems will be solved, most of them. He is the top. I will continue to use them.

The gentleman that showed up to take care of our plumbing needs was courteous and professional. The only negative I have to cite is that Tarvin forgot about my appointment. However, they did have someone at my house withing 3 hours of the missed timing.

They were able to schedule same day, but we had them come out the following week. Phil was on time, let me show him the problems we were having with low water pressure, especially with multiple sinks or shower going. He check pressure into the house, out of multiple faucets, then found the problem to be the output line from the water heater. So he cleaned out that output and we were all set. Took him about an hour and there was no additional fee on top of the 1hr coupon purchased. Great Service, Friendly guy, and timely.
