I am very satisfied with the work and technician the last time they came out. I called them for another job. They told me that they would give me a call back in the morning. I had to call the office manager back, Michelle. She is the rudest person I have talked to on the phone. She hung the phone up on me! I called back to talk to her boss, but she informed me that any complaints received would go through her anyway. She is poorly representing Tarvin Plumbing.

Tarvin was very busy after the cold weather snap. They gave me a realistic time they could come out (maybe that day, but likely the following day). After coming out the following day they broke open the wall and found the leaks. They added some copper piping and a stopper. Very professional I would use them again.

He was most professional and courteous, and true to his estimate.

Our handyman was able to thaw the frozen pipe so we ended up not needing Tarvin. They were very understanding and professional about the situation. If our handyman couldn't have fixed it, we'd definitely use Tarvin - we've used them before and had good experiences.

Not only did he do that perfectly he also helped me check over any other possible plumbing jobs to complete the hour. It worked out perfectly

Tarvin Plumbing did another excellent job. We've been using Tarvin since 2009. Previous jobs included sump pump repair and toilet flush assembly repair. We only ask for Phil, as his professionalism, punctuality, knowledge, and calm demeanor makes him a pleasure to work with. As background, we recently bought a new washing machine. Shortly after installation, we noticed water hammer. Water hammer occurs when valves inside the washing machine close super-fast. When this happens, the water that's travelling in the pipes comes to a dead stop, and has nowhere to expand. The resulting back reverberation inside the pipes causes the loud banging noise you hear. Left unattended, valves and pipes are subject to more than normal wear and could sustain damage. While water hammer arrestors helped us here, the root cause was water pressure at 120 p.s.i., measured at our house and verified by GCWW. Normally, water pressure should be between 60-70 p.s.i. No wonder the pipes were banging loudly. I called Tarvin to request Phil come out to install a pressure reducing valve (PRV). In speaking with GCWW, back in 1985 when this house was built, it was not mandatory to have a PRV. These days, building codes require them. Before Phil arrived, I sent an email with details of the job request, as well as a picture of the location where the main water shutoff valve was located, in case Phil needed to cut into the finished drywall in the basement. The information was relayed immediately. Phil arrived the next morning, calling to let me know he was on his way. There were lots of tools and equipments - wrenches, pipes, torch, buckets, and all were placed on top of a heavy tarp which protected the basement carpeting. Phil even brought his own lighting and ladder. I was impressed with the arsenal of tools and equipment, and showed Phil the little 8" x 6" opening in the wall to access the main shutoff valve. I thought he would have to cut a larger opening to fit the PRV in line. Phil creatively decided to install the PRV in a section of pipe in the basement ceiling, accessed through the drop ceiling. No cutting of wall! I watched as Phil expertly drained all water from the inside plumbing, directing me to help by bleeding upstairs, then downstairs. He shut the water off at the meter outside to ensure NO water was entering the house, and after siphoning off residual water from the pipes near the main shutoff, began to work. First, Phil cut a section of pipe away from the ceiling. He then prepared the PRV with pipe sections for soldering. Torch on and the PRV was cleanly attached to the ceiling plumbing. Then Phil suggested that I replace the main shutoff valve because it leaked a bit. I was glad he mentioned that because I never did like the faucet handle anyway. He replaced it with a $35 ball valve, which made it easy to shut off the water to the entire house - just a quarter turn of the handle. When all valves were installed, Phil turned the water on gradually. We checked the air sputtering from the second floor fixtures, then the first floor fixtures, and then Phil turned the water on all the way at the new ball valve. Phil tested the pressure, and it was 70 p.s.i. Cleaned up, paperwork, and that was 2.5 hours. What I notice now at 70 psi vs. 120 psi. When we turn the faucets on, the water flows more evening. Metaphorically, the water appears friendlier instead of aggravated, if you can associate with that. I also tested the water pressure myself, and it's between 65-70 psi. Showers still feel full, water still comes out of taps quickly to fill - - difference is that toilets flush more quietly, water comes out of faucets less noisily, everything seems calmer. These are the qualities that make me go back to Phil and Tarvin for my plumbing needs: - high quality materials used (the PRV is Watts, a leader in PRV manufacture for many years) - Phil's confidence, experience, thoroughness, respect, patience to explain work, and no heavy salesmanship - Reasonable price for parts and service (labor is $120/hour).

Excellent! He was ounctual, polite and explained the problem was from using bleach tablets in the tank.

Excellent service. Prompt and friendly repairman. Offered to show me how to fix problem on my own if it were to happen again. Definitely recommend.

At first plumber wasn't sure what was wrong with the first two toilets but kept checking and found it was just loose tubing in both and not what he thought which was a more serious problem. The third toilet was a routine repair. I appreciated the Angie's List coupon.

Quick service. Took care of the problem quickly. Have used since. Highly satisfied & will continue to use.

I think the pricing was way too high. The manager that I spoke with after the work had complete about the price being too high was very unprofessional. One of her responses to me " do you want me to rip off the check". The manager does not listen to her customers or show concern for their needs. The worker that came did a good and job and I had no compaints about the work that was done, I just was not satisfied with the pricing and the management.

We bought a complete toilet kit, but the gasket under the tank didn't fit, so one was ordered which arrived in two days. The plumber Ellis? was thoughtful, polite and communicative - in other words, professional.. He explained each step of the project and cleaned up thoroughly. I downgraded the price because we paid for an unsuccessful trip searching for the gasket before one was ordered. i'm not sure the Angie's list discount really helped.

Unstopped kitchen sink fixed leak at water meter. Plumber was thorough, quiet and pleasant.Pricing was as quoted.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was great. They were only here for just a little while but they did a great job. They were here about 20 minutes. Everything is working well now. Everything was positive and I couldn't find anything wrong with what they did. They were courteous and nice.

Phil, who was the plumber, showed up when expected. He was very pleasant and professional. When we talked about the repairs, I told him how this time of year was not so great for big expenses, but that we would do what was needed. He tried a part in his van, hoping it would work to save me some money, but when it did not, he even apologized to me that it didn't. He had to go pick up a part and was back very quickly. He worked continuously the whole time he was here and answered any questions I had. I am very happy with the service I received, especially in light of the fact that the first estimate I got to repair it yesterday was $1,800, from another plumbing company who told me he couldn't fix it from the inside, would have to dig up my yard and then drill into my foundation. When my husband came home and saw the problem last night, he told me to call and get a second estimate, that it could be fixed from the inside. I am very glad I found Tarvin on Angie's List!

They did great. I would use them again. They were also very prompt, and I thought the price was very reasonable for what the young man did.

Had a leak in the basement, came in for an inspection and saw rusting around the hot water expansion tank. Decided to have a number of things fixes as preventive maintenance. Work came in under estimate, quality appears good, plumber was very professional.

Tavin ran a new water line for my mew refrigerator. They did an awesome job, running the line in the most unobtrusive manner possi le.

al The two men arrived on time and worked well together. When they went to install the new sink and vanity we fount a crack in the top of the counter surface. This required contacting the supplier for a replacement. That arrived the next day. They then completed the installation. Upon checking the work for leaks, they found that there was a faulty joint in the supply line to the faucet we had purchased. They came back the next day when I had a replacement faucet line. The resulting delays were not in any way their fault, and they were very patient with it all.

Plumber arrived on time to fix running toilet. Replaced parts . . . finished in about an hour.

Dave arrived on time. He was very professional. Dave explained what he needed to do. He did the work efficiently, cleaned up, removed the old water heater, and it took less time than we were originally told.

Very satisfied with the work performed and their professionalism. Very punctual and courteous employees. Will definitely use them on the next plumbing repair!

I call in as emergency left call back number about 10 minutes later Phil a plumber return the call this was on a Saturday Nov. 16. He schedule the appointment for Monday. The plumber and a helper arrive on time, it took about one hour and 45 minutes to take old water heater out and install new one. Protective covering was laid to protect the flooring and they clean up the mess. They worked very hard and quickly. I was very please with their work.

He did a decent job. New hose bib had a small leak, plumber said that was normal, not really sure.
