Tarvin Plumbing

Went very well. Came on time, did the work, and left the area clean.

I have used Tarvin for plumbing for repairs several times in the past and have always been pleased with their work. On their website I noted that they do remodeling work including tile installation. I asked if they were interested in my relatively small project and Mike said they were. Within a couple of days John, their tile specialist, looked at the project and took measurements. Mike got back to me shortly with an estimate that included materials, material pickup and labor. It was comparable to another estimate I had received. We were put on John's schedule for the earliest time he had available. John showed up promptly on the 2 days of scheduled work. He was obviously well experienced and he did an excellent, professional job.

Same guy had been out before. It was a quick fix and he was in and out in about an hour or two. Easy access from basement ceiling.

We have used them for many years. They dig a sewer and remodel our bathroom for us. They did a great job. We will continue using them.

The pipe to my shower had come apart and was leaking into my kitchen. They came out and fixed it and were out of here in an hour and half. It was also a one piece shower which was a little more complicated to fix as well, as they could not fix it through the front and had to go through the back. They were great and fixed the problems quickly. I would definitely recommend them.

He came the day after my stove was delivered and installed the gas line. He checked other things, but I didn't have much else for him to do. It was going to cost over $100 to have the store connect the gas line so this worked out better.

They were on time and very courteous. Would definitely use again in the future.

It went really well. I had a different plumber out to the house a few weeks prior to fix the leaking pipe and replace the bathtub faucet and they charged over $500. Some of their work was shotty and had to be re-done. So, I called Tarvin and they were able to fix the shoddy work done by the previous plumber and do more work for less money. I was really pleased with them and will definitely use them again .

Our sump pump failed and we had water damage. I called Tarvin Plumbing first thing in the morning and they were out within a couple of hours. The time it took him to replace the sump pump was less than an hour. He was very courteous and confident in his work.

Technician came on time, removed the old water heater and then installed the new one. Work was very professional.

It turned out fine. I used the big deal shortly after I purchased it and there was an additional charge on top of the deal but I do not remember how much it was. It was part of the job. They allowed me to use the big deal right when I needed it so that was good. That meant that they were accessible. I have not had any issues since the service was provided but we do not live there anymore. Their price was a little high but they were pretty quick and they did the job. They came when I called them but I was not there when they did the service.

I had purchased a Big Deal from Angie's List. They have been out 3 times in April. I paid $863 for the water main break and all they did was dig a hole. It was $225 to change the guts in the toilet. I got an Angie's List discount of $25 on all of these. I would recommend getting more than one estimate and then go from there. Apparently there are a lot of different ways to do plumbing.

the service was great! set up an appointment and worked around my schedule. they showed up on time and were completely professional. i told them what seemed wrong and stated i had serveral other plumbers out and they said toilets could just act like that in the basement. tarvin plumbing took the toilet apart and did what they do. when he was done he explained what was wrong and what he fixed. he cleaned up completely and sealed around the toilet base and placed everything back into the bathroom were it was. it looked brand new and worked great!!! i wish i would have called them in the first place. great job!!!

We are selling our house and had several minor plumbing issues come up on the inspection. Tarvin put Ilya in call for a plumber and we had someone out at the house within hours. We were not in a hurry for the services but could not have been more happy at how quickly Tarvin arrived to perform the services. When he arrived, the plumber quickly went to work and finished all of the items in short order. We were very pleased with the services that they provided. Thank you.

Those guys were good. It turned out a little bit expensive than I thought but he did whatever needed done at that time so it was great. He was very professional, showed up on time. He return calls promptly. I have no complains at all and I would recommend them.

have gone up immeasurably. The original 2011 installation was $610.00!! I began to repeat the prices she was quoting me to my friend who was here at the time and knows something about plumbing and she stops and asks quite rudely who I was talking to. I told her and she referred to him throughout the rest of the conversation very sarcastically as "your friend who is not a plumber but who knows plumbing." I asked was it not a law that an expansion tank be installed(meaning a code) and she sarcastically laughed and said "are you going to call the police?" I had specifically said "a law" not "the law." I called the Butler County Board of Health and a gentleman explained to me that to bring water heaters up to code it is recommended. She stated that I was offered to have an expansion tank installed but I refused. What?? Was the offer made in an either/or fashion? Was the importance of it explained to me? Did I sign a refusal paper? I ended the conversation saying I found them on Angie's List (hinting that a complaint would follow) and with an upbeat tone she replied "Thank You!" as if I complimented the company. I am providing this feed back since I don't feel that this company deserves the rating they have received.

After opening the connections and attaching another hose, he decided the problem was something in my cold water line. He explained the only thing he could do to fix it was open up my wall. Luckily he could do it from my garage where the water line comes in. He ended up having to make 3 holes in order to get to the T that he suspected was the problem. After opening the pipe, he could hear something rattle in there. Used a shop vac to suck the item out of my line. Unbelievable what it was a round plastic round peg with a stem. My house is 7 years old and it must have come through the main water line from the City or it was in the line all this time and finally got stuck causing my problem. I originally called a washing machine repairman who said I needed a new part inside my washing machine and I had to wait two days for the part. I think I did need that part, but it did not give me my cold water and he said I needed a plumber. I have used Tarvin's 3 times in the last two years. Each time they were completely professional and friendly. They had the parts in their truck and were always able to fix the issues. They actually have a nice system when you call. They can put you on a list for service to work you in if someone finishes early and are close to your area or guarantee service in two days with a call between 8 and 9 to establish a time. I used this the first two times as I did not have and emergency. This last I got on the wait list. They were able to work me in. As far as a mess, he did everything to not make a bad one. He cleaned up nicely when he was done. I was very happy to have my cold water back and I will now have someone put in a sliding panel where the holes are, so I will have access to this plumbing in the future. I could not be more pleased with Tarvin's Service.

The service worked out okay. I loved their services, except that they had to come back so many times, because the water line was broken on my side of the house, and they did not have the means handy to clear out the water and dirt, in order to get to the water thing. That was a problem for me, because I had to keep calling the water company, and they kept calling them too. That took more time, and I guess if they would have taken ownership of the problem instead of relying on the water company, it would have been fixed sooner. I ended up paying them over $800 for coming out so many times, and digging a hole. The bathroom was one price, and the curb stop was another price. They were not able to get to the problem. The interaction with them was great.

We had a dead animal/plumbing situation, where it appeared there was a dead animal in the chimney of our water heater. I called my usual plumber but they said they did not deal with dead animals. I called Tarvin and they responded quickly. Turned out the dead animal was a pretty big raccoon behind a wall. The plumber, Ellis, did his damnedest to get it out, but it was too big for the hole. We used another service (Another Critter Gone) to remove the raccoon, and Ellis returned soon after to replace the water heater chimney, and also repair a deteriorating chimney on my boiler. Tarvin was very responsive, and Ellis was great to deal with. The price seemed fair for the work done.

Tarvin's plumber did a thorough job in a very professional manner. I engaged their services based on past work which was excellent. I might have paid less with another company but I'm pleased with the peace of mind that I bought.

Went very well. The Tarvin office was responsive to our situation and sent a man out within hours. the worker was professional and very methodical. Cleaned things up well afterwards.

The installation went great. Tarvin was very professional, explained everything to me, made the necessary upgrades to my plumbing (had some pipe issues) and installed a very nice 50 gallon - gas water heater with a 10-yr. warranty. They took care to clean everything up / and covered up my carpet leading down the stairs to my basement. Again, did a great job!

They seemed to be very honest. They did a quality work. They worked very quickly.
