Tarvin Plumbing

The service was extremely professional and he did not try to draw it out to charge any extra. We used an Angie's List deal that covered 1 hour of service time. He explained the cost if he went over the hour but came in under so no extra charges were needed. This, combined with offering to check anything else (he checked our water pressure for the house), we would most likely use Tarvin for any future plumbing needs.

Water heater stopped working in the morning. I called Tarvin Plumbing after reviewing list from Angie's list. They quickly scheduled me for repair. They were very professional and repairs went very smoothly.

This review would overall have been a C if the plumber, Dave, had not been so accommodating. Scheduling was pretty easy and the plumber arrived when I expected he would. However, only when he arrived did I learn that they do not carry parts for the type of sink that needed to be repaired (Price Pfister). Dave said he could either call a plumbing supply store to see if they carried the parts (and I would have to pay for his time going to pick them up) and I could order the parts from Price Pfister and he would come back once I received them. I needed the faucet fixed before the in the next few days and asked about getting the parts from Home Depot or Lowe's. Dave replied that he could install parts I purchase but the parts would not be guaranteed. I told him I'd rather take the chance and buy the part so he could replace them that day. Dave was willing to take an early lunch (this was around 11 AM) so I could run to Home Depot to get the parts. I was back with the parts in 20 minutes, called Dave to let him know i had them, and he came back after finishing his lunch to install them. I was frankly surprised that I was not asked about the type of faucet when I call to get the appointment set up, and that I only learned about this when the plumber arrived. (A lesson learned for me!) But Dave was accommodating and did his job efficiently, so overall I felt it was a good experience.

They fixed a sink drain in the bathroom. They got everything cleaned out. It took kind of a while because it was a strange drain. They mostly cleaned up after themselves but there was a little bit of mess left behind.

I was just discharged from the hospital and of course one of my toilets decided to leak. Tarvin was able to fit me in that day without having to resort to an "emergency" visit. After calling in the morning the plumber, Ellis, arrived early afternoon amid carpet cleaners and visiting nurses. He went about his tasks and took care of a few other items besides the leak. He was very professional and efficient. When he was finished he asked if there was anything else he could take care of before he left. Of course, after he left, I then remembered that the stopper in my tub was not functioning, but I'll leave that for another visit. I had enough excitement for one day.

Everything went very well Jim went above and beyond what he needed to do to ensure our plumbing was working properly! I bought a Big Deal from Angie's list, they contacted me that day and arranged a time to come the next day (New Years Eve). I would hire them again without hesitation!! Thank you!!

I do not have any dislikes. They were very efficient and the turnaround time was very quick.

The folks at Tarvin did a great job. We found the leak in the morning and ordered the big deal from Angies list. They were out by 2pm and done quickly. They really saved the day. We had no water until they came to fix it. We will be using them again!

It was great actually. He was kind of a soft spoken guy. He got here and went right to work. He was quick and clean and was in and out of our hair before we even knew it.

Dave was prompt and professional. He replaced the shower diverter and found the two gas lines that needed to be capped off. I would highly recommend Dave and Tarvin Plumbing.

I called and was immediately able to schedule a time. The plumber was able to come out in just two days (it wasn't an emergency). The plumber called ahead when he was on his way and he was on-time. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. He was competent and resolved the issues with the clogged toilet and the leak under the kitchen sink. He also cleaned up his mess. I could easily pay by credit card and the invoice was immediately emailed to me.

Everything went wonderfully. They arrived on time every day or called when they weren't going to be there on time, The estimates were right on track with what I paid, and deviations were discussed ahead of time. There were about 4-5 guys in for different things and each of them were very professional and proficient. I couldn't be more pleased. Even now, 8 months later, I love love love my new bathroom. I would use them again for many different services.

Matt & Ruben arrived and began working on the toilet repair. They discovered that the flange was recessed below the floor level. I had new tile installed about three years ago and the guy who did the work didn't raise the flange up to floor level but added two wax seals to compensate the difference, the flange bolts had broken out of the slots and the toilet bowl would tilt back and forth. This is how I discovered the problem. Matt told me a good plumber would not do a job like this. He had to cut wood to bring the new flange assembly up to floor level, They had to cut out the old flange and drain pipe and then install new. They finished this job and then went to work on the pressure valve. This is a job that you leave to the professionals. Matt & Ruben said this isn't an easy job to do. They worked over an hour to replace this valve and fittings. The main line coming in from the street was plastic tubing. Matt said builders would be better off using copper, which would last years. They done a fantastic job. They adjusted the main line to proper pressure and cleaned up and were on their way. I am a totally satisfied Angie's List customer. I would highly recommend Tarvin Plumbing to my friends and neighbors.I had Tarvin plumbing out in January to replace my tub faucet and drain and was very happy with their work. Matt was the plumber who did this repair. He is really a great guy, very pleasant to talk to. Thanks Matt and Ruben..

When the gentleman arrived he spoke to my renters. I had received prior approval from my neighbor to have a hole cut in his ceiling so they could investigate. The plumber that came said the leak was from grout cracks in the shower stall and that the entire bathroom would require remodeling at a cost of $25,000+. He looked at the ceiling in the neighbors condo and didn't cut a hole to investigate. When he called me he said I should call some place like Bath Fitters to fix the issue. He told my tenants to put tape on the grout to prevent further leaking. I then called a tile company I used in the past. He came out and told me that wasn't the cause of the leak. He put a hole in the neighbor's ceiling and found that the toilet was leaking. He replaced the toilet, repaired the neighbor's ceiling. We haven't had issues since. I wouldn't use Tarvin Plumbing again. I was very disappointed that a plumber couldn't find a leak and determine it was from the toilet. I really think my money should be refunded because he didn't do anything that was agreed to on the phone.

I have used Tarvin plumbing on a number of occasions, to repair leaks, install taps, replace the water heater, sump pump and garbage disposal unit. They are responsive, professional and the work is done in a quality manor. An estimate is always given and the work comes in below estimate.

Brent and his assistant were timely and they were quick. They told me I needed a new disposal and they were able to provide me a new disposal and installation within 1 hour. Not only were the workers great but also the customer service team that helped me over the phone. I highly recommend this group.

After having called several other places and being told that they could not come out until the following week I called Tarvin Plumbing and talked with a very caring, sympathetic, Veronica. She was able to have two very capable, polite, and professional acting plumbers; Brent and Elliss, come that very same day. Granted, I paid an extra $200 for them to come after hours but that was my choice over having them come the next day. The total bill was only $390. When you consider $200 of that was for the after hours call, the cost of $190 was some $200+ less than what I was being quoted by other companies who were then telling me they couldn't come out until next week. This was my first experience with Tarvin Plumbing. When I read reviews on Angie's List I look for great reviews but I have to admit I also look at the bad ones no matter how few. By far the reviews for Tarvin Plumbing are Great but there are just a few bad ones. The thing is, when you look at the two or three bad ones you can read between the lines if you know anything about plumbing at all and see the fault lies not with Tarvin, but customers who were expecting the impossible or where the cost was higher than expected due to unexpected problems with old plumbing or such things. So let me continue to add to the A+ reviews!! Here my family and I were with a home where we couldn't flush the toilet, run water, take a shower or in any way use water in a way that involved it going down the drain. Our basement toilet was backed up and any water from above only made it worse. Waiting until next week was not an option. Tarvin Plumbing was here less than an hour after I called them!!! Brent and Elliss got to work promptly and professionally and were finished in less than an hour! They cleaned up before they left. They explained everything they were doing. They ran the snake all the way to the street/main sewer. They explained that using your garbage disposal contributes a lot to stopping up your drains. Good to know. Both told me they love their job and working for Tarvin Plumbing. I would definitely use Tarvin Plumbing again and will recommend them to family and friends.

We called the plumber in the morning after purchasing the 60 for $90 coupon. They were able to come out right away and they immediately got to work and fixed the problem of water backing up in our drains.

Tarvin Plumbing is always professional and reasonable. Dave came out to fix a portion of the main water line that was old and causing lots of noise when the water was on (this is the non-technical version!). I appreciated how quickly he finished the job and the fact that he came in under the projected estimate. I like working with a company that charges by the hour vs. by the job. From the initial call to Tarvin to the end of the job, everything went smoothly.

Found water on the floor late on Sunday afternoon. By evening leak appeared to be worse. Left a message on Tarvin's answering machine. The plumber and his assistant appeared at the door at 8 o'clock. By noon they relaced the pressure bladder and regulator.
