Tarvin Plumbing responded very quickly to my appointment request and called me ahead of time to notify me when they are coming. They came promptly on time and completed the work with quality. All was done very professionally and cleanly. They checked the work several times to make sure all is well. The price was reasonable. They deserve their "A" rating. I am happy with the work and I will definitely be calling them again if I need help.

It went very well. Steven was the electrician. He called to tell us he was running late because he was helping out at another job before us. I was pleased that he called to tell us he was running late and if that was okay. He also apologized but I told him no problem and I appreciated that he called to tell us. Once he was here, he was very knowledgeable and worked quickly to accomplish all of the assigned tasks. Stephen was very personable and really know his stuff! I would highly recommend Craftsman Electric. We have some additional things now we will be doing in the near future that will require an electrician and we will call the company and ask to please send Stephen.

They are knowledgeable really know what they are doing. They are very prompt. If something isnt done properly, they will come back out at no charge.

The next day my mother had to pay another plumber to have the handle replaced and the toilet is no longer running, so actually it was a waste of time and money bring in the first plumber.

PROS Really appreciated that Phil walked me through the project and gave a good estimate of effort / cost and some tips with scheduling "ask for me if you want since I know the plan", "book first thing in the morning so that you get the project done in one day for sure". The day of service was a late snow, and Phil called to let us know he wouldn't be coming, which we was nice. CONS This wasn't emergency service, but was a bit miffed we were rescheduled for ~1.5w later. My partner who was home during the project reported that Phil was short on the verge of rude and seemed just generally in a bad mood. Where Phil did the work seems to have been quality (the drainpipe replacement was NOT an easy workspace, the hot water replumbed cleanly), but there were signs that he had to rush it a bit -- didn't cap off the old pipe and didn't remove the old fixture in the bathroom! thanks to his helpful walkthrough I was able to handle but as he didn't cap off the end I did end up with a quart of ages old water all over my cellar floor. Seems like for $600 he could have spent another 10m to finish these off.

He could not remove the faucet and scratch up the fixture because he used his wretch without a rag which after I notice he needed a rag I got him one. After he said he couldn't fix this and I still had another 45 minutes coming to me since I paid for this upfront I showed him my bathroom faucet which I wanted him to replace but he only had chrome fixtures on his truck and everything in my bathroom is gold so that didn't work. Basically,I paid for this great deal that you advertised and got nothing!

It was fine. They were fast. They showed me what was wrong with the disposal before they changed it out. One plumber came out.

I called them and they came out two days later. So far, everything is good. It has only been two days. I have not had any leaks and the garbage disposal works fine. The worker was good and professional. Before he used any more pipes or products, he ran each additional cost by me for approval. It looks good.

Scheduling was easy. They were on time, neat, and did a good job. The plumbing was so old that they had to cut into the wall and do some tile work. The initial quote didn’t include the extra work for tile and the showerhead installation so I couldn’t budget accurately. There was also miscommunication between the tile worker and the plumbers about whether or not the job was done.

It was really good. They were really friendly, clean, arrived on time, and were great.

It was terrible, they refunded everything I paid them. Their plumber tried to first sell me a garbage disposal then the used an auger to try and clean it out but the capper was leaving after telling me they would have to cut thru the wall. My sister who lives in Dayton, Oh, had her plumber come down an had it unclogged in 1 1/2 hours with my wife's hair dryer. To say I was disappointed is an understatement especially for an "A" rated company.

I had an excellent experience with them. They're fast and are reasonably priced. I've never had to call them back because something wasn't right. Their clean-up was perfect.

I had frozen pipes on the 20th of February and I did everything to thaw them out (small heaters , turned the heat up) and nothing worked. I called Tarvin they were able to squeeze me in during their afterhours house calls. Although it was $200 for the afterhours house call they got the pipes thawed in no time flat. Great service and they fixed the issue quickly.

The service was fine and he was professional, however it cost 6 times what I thought it would be. I purchased a $60.00 deal and I had the faucet all ready to go. It hadn't been opened and just needed to be installed. There ended up being a piece missing and we had to get a different faucet with 2 hours of installation. They had a whole new faucet but didn't have a replacement part which seemed interesting. I called to complain and they were very defensive. I feel a little taken advantage of.

Very prompt and professional. He quickly assessed our toilet issue and cleared a clog deep in the line (a toothbrush was causing the problem!). Then he checked a slow drain in one of our showers and recommended we have him use an auger to clear that, which was totally reasonable and effective. Our 1963 house has a lot of old plumbing and two tubs are leaking from the overflow, so we had him give us estimates on how much those will cost to fix at some point. He gave us a good range of prices on that work without any pressure or upselling. I never got a scammy vibe from him, which is always appreciated. He was knowledgeable, professional and very nice.

All went well. I was very pleased with the job. The provider was punctual, very professional and answered all my questions to my satisfaction.

Tarvin does a GREAT job but they are expensive. I paid a little extra after the plumber recommended metal drains instead of the plastic drains that came with the faucets. Not a requirement but probably worth it. They also installed our kitchen faucet on another job and they were excellent but you do pay for it...the Angie's List deal is basically a discount on the service.

The water intake valve to my hot water heater was leaking and I required it to be replaced. I requested a ball valve as a replacement. I paid for 45 minutes worth of plumbing service. I usually do my own minor plumbing but knowing this required more advanced skills and the nature of making a mistake, I opted for Tarvin. In order to max the time spent on repair, i prepped the line by shutting off the water to the line and fully draining the line. That allowed the repair person to spend only the time needed to replace a valve. Note there were no space issues, this is very accessible in the basement and was an electric water heater, so no gas issues to handle. My issues are : - He charged me for more than an hour (1 and a quarter). I started the clock when he entered the door till the time he completed the work. It was slightly under 1 hour. By the time he socialized with me and then sat in car to look up prices, the time exceeded an hour. A major reason for the delay was he did not adequately prep the copper line and the instillation leaked when we turned the water on. This required me to redrain the line, allow him to fix the repair and make it work. I expected the time to go slightly longer due to the addition of the humidifier valve (but he was replacing the section of copper tubing already so this was not a difficult or lengthy change, a simple addition to the repair. I don't feel I should have paid for his mistake and for his delay activities. I did not fully comprehend the overhcarge for labor due to the way he priced the Angie list coupon on the invoice (shame on me). - My second Significant issue was for the massive overcharging for parts. I expect mark-up, but the prices were absurd. As I stated, I know prices from doing most of my own work. When I looked up prices on several on-line or big box store web sites, I was charged $40 for an $8 3/4 ball valve; $20 for $5 angle valve; etc. These are mark-ups above retail I expect from a restaurant for wine, not parts that Tarpin is receiving at wholesale. I called Tarvin to complain and was told the prices are what they are and there was nothing the could do.
