First thorough cleaning, was not thorough. Most cabinets and woodwork did not appear cleaned well. My crew mops and waxes floors then puts rugs down before they dry, causing the back of rugs to stick to wood flooring. Even when I point out specific areas I want cleaned each time, they are still missed!

Not quite swept away. Overall, the cleaning services that were provided were good (not excellent), with a few caveats: 1. On one cleaning day, a glass scale was broken (I understand accidents happen). Instead of replacing my broken item hassle free, I was asked to provide a receipt as a proof of purchase (which meant I needed to go and buy another one before being reimbursed). This was annoying and inconvenient. 2. I asked to have the same cleaning crew

Christa, Latifah, and Sara showed up and worked their buns off. They work quite well together and their sense of humor is/was terrific. They did a fantastic job and I am thrilled! I will definitely use this service again!

As usual, they did not disappoint! Danielle is a wonderful woman, who does the best job ever. She brought a new gal, Mariah, who did a great job too. Danielle represents the company better than anyone. She's honest, professional, always has a smile on her face, and will always be trusted in my home. I would while-heartedly recommend Swept Away, and if you're lucky enough to get Danielle and Mariah, even better! I love my girls!

The first cleaning was very well done. Full dusting and vacuuming by three cleaners who worked well as a team and took their time to do it right. After I contracted for every-four-weeks, scheduled service, the completeness of the cleaning was less, with dust still visible on a dressers and the kitchen floor still needing mopping. After I spoke to the team leader on the next visit, the thoroughness of the service only improved a little. This last visit, two cleaners came, neither of which had been here before. I had to go through the house again. They stayed only one hour to do the entire house.

I was totally swept away! The four young women worked very hard and left the place sparkling. I was only charged for three workers, because one was a trainee, and I believe they stayed beyond the agreed upon time (I'm a little unclear on this, because I went to work and my husband was vague about the details). I asked them to apply Liquid Gold to the wood floor molding if they had time, and it looks to me like they polished a great deal of the woodwork! My only concern before I left was that they were moving along very fast, and I heard a glass bowl clatter; I told Lashaun that I preferred they took their time and were more careful with the artwork, and happily I haven't found any broken items. This was a one-time clean, and I am definitely interested in having them back, but will need to settle on a price that we can afford for regular service.

DANIELLE, KP, and Tayna cleaned today. As usual, they did a fabulous job! These girls work hard to please, and have never disappointed me. They pay attention to detail and always ask if everything was to my satisfaction. I've never had any issues with Swept Away, and would highly recommend them. The girls are honest, trustworthy, and thorough.

Heather and Shauna do a very good job. They pay attention to detail and add nice touches like how towels are presented or beds are made. Mostly they are reliable. I have been using them for over a year and have not had a single missed appointment. I have also added weeks at the last minute and they have always accommodated. I appreciate this team and company!

The cleaners were supposed to come and clean 2 selected areas based on my list, namely the kitchen and the bathroom. I got a call around 11:30 saying they couldn't get into the building. They were somewhat rude on the phone and it took a few minutes before I was able to give them the door code to get in.
After they got in, I got a call back asking if I had a top to my budget (which I had already told to the person when scheduling, but gave them again anyhow). They said there was no way they could do my priority list with that. I asked what they felt they could do. They stated they didn't do dishes and so they could move my dishes out of my sink and then put them back still dirty. I decided to change my priority list as a result of them saying they didn't feel there was much they could do in my kitchen.
I asked them to focus on the front office room and put anything they didn't know where to put it on the dining room table or in a bag. They put most of the items on both my and my partner's desk, including putting my laptop over the fans that are the venting system for my partner's computer. We ended up needing to clear both our desks before we could do any work when we came home as a result.
The floors were well done, I will say that. The carpets were spotless and they even tried to spot clean an area on the rug. And the bathtub was quite clean and the front entryway was clean. But the rest of the cleaning beyond the floors was really not what I was hoping for.
Lastly, they ended up locking one of the cats in another room before they left and she was in there for several hours with no food, water or litter box.

One caveat: On cleaning day, they are unable to tell you in advance when they will arrive. This is the first time I've ever had housecleaning on a particular day when I have no idea what time the housecleaner(s) will arrive. However, I left a note asking them to call my cell when they were ready to leave & they did. This is such an excellent service I'm more than happy to oblige not knowing in advance when they will arrive. I stayed at home for the first cleaning as I always do with any new service I've employed. However, having met with the owner to find out what they offer, I did not hesitate to give the team leader a key to my building & apartment. I am very careful about this so my husband is the only other person who has a key besides me and the building management.
I hope I will be using Swept Away Housecleaning every other week for many years to come. I'm 70 so can no longer do the tough cleaning jobs. On alternate weeks, I sweep & dust + do any other "extras" myself. On "cleaning day," I go to the zoo, or shop a bit or take a nice long walk in this beautiful city. I take myself out to a swank restaurant for lunch & pick up something easy to prepare for dinner.

She was happy to give me three referrals of current customers. One in particular was quite honest in giving me a good referral but also being very honest about any difficulties experienced. The other two had only positive things to say, one of whom told me Swept Away cleaned his personal business, his home & his mother's home. Now that's a good referral!

Steffi, our regular team leader, and her team cleaned the exteriors of all the cabinets which hadn't been cleaned in years and the fronts look like new! They even used my preferred wood cleaner without being told to do so. We had a large amount of glass and ceramics in the pantry so it took the three of them awhile to empty it and then they did a great job of cleaning the wood interior and glass shelves and doors.
We have two stainless steel pot racks which they cleaned; cleaning the interior stainless wire racking and polishing the stainless racks. Those looked like new when they finished. They also cleaned to track lighting in the pantry and pendant lights in the bath. They cleaned the exterior and interior of all the kitchen appliances...better than I do by far.
Then washed all the woodwork in the house which is an unusually large amount for a house this size including door and window frames, floor trim which is nine inches high and the staircase including railing, spindles and wooden base panels. This is a 1906 home so it has a lot of wood detailing. They were even able to get rid of most of the 'alligatoring' on the handrails.
Gina was with them and she was testing new tools she acquired to clean tile and grout in the master bath. It took awhile because the tile/grout had not had a deep cleaning in over 10 years but it came out looking like new and is ready to be sealed again. Thanks!
All in all, we were very pleased with the results of all they did. A+ and well worth the cost!
