I was going on vacation and wanted him to wait until I returned so I made arrangements with my son to oversee. He did a good job on the roof and gutters, however, I was going to have a screened in porch put on and that fell through because he did not want to get a building permit.

Steve was able to work around our schedule and put on our new roof without disturbing my husband's sleep schedule (my husband works third shift and sleeps durring the day).   The work was done as quickly as possible considering the weather and a few other factors.     Steve works by himself or with one other crew member so don't expect to get the entire roof done in one day.

A couple years ago we received an estimate from Steve to finish our basement. We hired him to just do the framing and wiring. This spring we had him out to finish the rest of it and to put on a storm door at the back of the house. Much to my surprise, he kept the total price the same as his quote from a couple years before with the exception of a small increase for the cost of materials. The basement turned out great and Steve was very conscientious about cleaning up each day. We've also used Steve in the past to replace our roof and to build a deck and we've always been happy with his work and personality.
