I had some routine maintenance that needed to be addressed but I was waiting until I had problem with the car to bring it in. The problem I had was a grinding noise from the front of the car. Within an hour of dropping off the car Mike called me with the diagnosis of the grinding noise and gave me several options on how they can repair it. I opted for the wheel hub and bearing replacement. While on the phone, I asked if they had time to do the front brakes, install a new battery and repair one of the tires. The brakes were in good shape but they squeaked a lot in the early mornings. Again, Mike gave me several options and his team was able to complete all the work the same day. All is quiet and running smooth again. I have been taking my cars to Spradlin for over 15 years and have always received honest, friendly, excellent professional service at a reasonable price.

This guys are great. VERY honest and trustworthy. I wish they services all car makes so I could take every car I ever own to them. But, I guess, part of the reason they're so good is that they specialize in Japanese cars. They know their vehicles. Added bonus for offering loaner vehicles. They're not late model cars, but they are clean, dependable and absolutely perfect for getting around while your car is getting repaired. For the life of me, I can't understand why every repair shot (independent or dealer) doesn't do this. No brainer! Their waiting room is nice with wifi, TV, soda and coffee. Take your Japanese car here - even if it's not close to your home!

Excellent service. They do not talk down to you, but explain what the problems are and what choices you have. They tell you if you can wait to perform a service later without causing problems. Very friendly staff. They have their own on-site rental cars available for only $25 a day, free if you are getting major service.

Outstanding. I will take my Japanese cars nowhere else. It's an honest, professional repair shop. they use genuine parts and charge a fair price. I LOVE that they offer loaner cars as well. It makes the entire process so much more convenient. Highly recommend Spradlin.

The thing I like most about Spradlin Automotive is they seem to really care that you get just the service you need. There were actually several things that needed to be fixed on my van. The representative listed each thing, then the price. He then helped me think through which things were most important and which could be delayed (it is Christmas, after all, and the budget is a bit tight).
I called the rep back twice as I worked out what we wanted to do. He was very patient and understanding.
While the work was being done, they gave me the use of a loaner car, at no cost to myself. I wasn't require to fill it up with gas, but I did as a courtesy.
I've been going to Spradlin for several years now, and I am always delighted by their work and customer service.

Very pleased with the service our car received from Mike. After having our car inspected from a dealership my husband and I thought it best to call around for an estimate from other mechanics. We called Spradlin first. After talking to the owner, my husband and I were so impressed we decided to call no one else.
The next day after the mechanic had a chance to drive the car and have a closer look at the brakes we were called with two options for the brake repair. He explained each option and which he thought was best for our car and why. Within a couple of hours he called us back so we could pick up our car before rush hour. The brakes are wonderful!!
By the way Mike, I am following your instructions to a T about breaking in the brakes.

I have been taking my 2002 Altima and 2006 Sienna to Spradlin for the past 5 years. I've had work done probably 6 to 8 times over that period. Every experience has been 100% positive. These guys are ultimate professionals, courteous and honest. If the car doesn't need work, they'll tell you that. I trust them implicitly. Prices are very fair. I only wish they worked on non-Japanese cars too!

My van shuddered every time I hit the brakes so I took it in. I had apparently "blue'd the rotors," which I had done before. It was my fault as I was hauling more than the rated limit, basically overheating and warping the rotors. Spradlin gave me the free use of a loaner car while they worked on the vehicle.
When I got home with the van, the brakes worked fine. However, I realized that I had forgotten to ask them to fix a plastic cover under the vehicle. The cover had fallen down and was dragging on the ground. I called them the next morning and they said bring it in. I did and waited and they affixed the cover to the undercarriage. There was no charge. In addition to their expert knowledge, I appreciate their efforts to reduce costs whenever possible when working on my vehicles.

Excellent. My car now runs like it's 10 years younger. Even though the service fees may be a little on the high side, I'd prefer to pay a little extra for a mechanic that does quality work, is truthful, and I can trust. This is Spradlin. I have used them for over 20 years for my vehicles.

I dropped my van off the night before the service appointment using the after hours drop box. I received a call from Mike before noon, and he shared with me that a significant amount of power steering fluid leaked onto the engine. I was provided an estimate, which included a new power steering pump, new belt, the transmission service and motor oil and filter change. The service was completed by 2:30 PM. I felt they were very knowledgeable and used the appropriate replacement fluids and parts. I am pleased with the work and will use Spradlin Automotive in the future.

Everything went very well. Spradlin gave me a loaner car for the day so I could keep working. I had a late day, so I was able to drop the key in the after-hours box and pick up my van after business hours. Originally, I had taken the van into the dealership to get two free recall repairs done. The dealer called back and reported the power steering hose was leaking. They also said I needed a rear brake job. They included an estimate when I came to pick up my car. Curious to see how Spradlin's prices compared to dealer prices, I asked Spradlin to estimate the oil change and power steering work. I did not tell Spradlin I had received an estimate from the dealer.
Dealer: total: $735.00
- Power steering: $550 out the door
- Brake job: $185 + tax and shop supplies
Spradlin: $414.05
- Power Steering: $245.60
- Brake job (replacing rear pads only): $168.45
However, Spradlin also noticed that one of my rear shock absorbers was leaking, that my transmission fluid was dirty, that I needed a tire rotation, and that my brake rotors needed to be replaced, not just the pads. Oh, and it looks like they didn't charge me anything for the new rear wiper blade.
Before the repair, I had a loud whining sound whenever I turned the steering wheel. Now all is quiet. Van runs beautifully. My wife and I are delighted.

This visit was $500 and they got it done in a day. In fact 99% of the time, they have finished me the same day I come in. I have been going to them for last 15 years or so! They stand behind their work so if there is ever an issue with a repair, they will fix it for no charge. Generally, I haven't had any problems with their quality though. They are are top-notch! They are honest and don't push for add-ons. They tell you exactly what you need. If you have multiple services needed, they will help you prioritize.

As always very well. The reason that I am writing is that over years now (at least 6) I have had EXCELLENT service from Spradlin for 3 cars (two Honda's and one Mazda). Mike and his crew are professionals and know cars (I've been driving nearly 45 years and used to work on cars when they were simpler). I've had new clutches installed, a new automatic transmission, new tires, new timing belts and many routine maintenance visits. Mike has always provided me with a clear explanation of what is needed and also provides alternatives, e.g., I could wait another 5,000 miles, alternative tires, etc. I believe that all of his mechanics are certified and have had years of experience. I have never been to an auto shop or dealer that I have trusted more than Spradlin.

They gave me a loaner car and analyzed my CR-V all day and found out it was an oxygen sensor that was about to go bad. Since I just had the car in their shop they replaced it for free. No charge.
I've been taking my cars to Spradlin for over 25 years. It is never hard to get a timely appointment with them and their service costs are always reasonable. Many of my friends also take their cars to them. They are an extremely class operation.

I had been putting off the scheduled service for ever. In addition, my van shuddered whenever I put on the brakes while going 45 mph or higher. The service person said that I had "blue'd" the rotors, that is, I'd braked so hard at one point that the rotors had turned a blue color. However, the service person called the manufacturer and pressed for warranty protection. I didn't even know I had a warranty on the rotors. All four new rotors cost only $60, and there was no labor charge. The new rotors are an upgrade, being high performance ones that won't overheat.
In my experience, this shop is very thorough. By checking the warranty, they saved me a ton of money.

I was overdue for the maintenance but suddenly needed to get it done because we had decided to go out of town on the weekend to Wisconsin. I didn't want to drive cross country without doing the maintenance. Spradlin's was able to take me within two days of my call. Relief. They called late that morning with questions, which of course you usually dread that call, but this one was a pleasant surprise. I'd had the car in a while back for minor repairs and the service person noticed that several of the items on the maintenance list had bee done during that early repair, for example,replacing the transmission fluid.So Spradlin's called to make sure it was OK to skip those already-done steps. That was great news. They saved me a ton of money. Car was done promptly and we had a nice trip to Wisconsin.

We have used Spradlin's for many years. This is the most professional garage I have ever used. They have a front office that is clean and professional, the work area is clean, if you ever have to borrow the bathroom it is squeaky clean. I can't emphasize how much we trust these guys.
