Specialty Screen and Glass is a family owned and operated business serving homeowners and businesses for over 50 years. Opened in 1956, Specialty Screen and Glass is located in the heart of Sharonville, Ohio at 11144 Main Street. Our original store can still be found serving the residents of Santa Cruz, California. We have been serving the Cincinnati area for over 25 years. We are a full service glass and screen company able to fulfill all of your residential glazing and screening needs. We strive on repeat and referral business and we do little advertising due to the large amount of repeat work that we have from our customers. We have an A rating with the BBB and are very proud of our customer service and job quality. We are a small operation company employing our owner Joe Mattingly and 5 other workers. We don't try and oversell as it is called in the window world by starting at high pricing and coming down like many competitors. We are a fair and honest company and proud to be be in business in the competitive economy we have had over the last decade. The largest portion of our sales is glass replacement in windows and full new replacement windows. When someone calls us we give an honest opinion of what is needed for their windows. If windows are less than 15 years old and operate fine then we do not try and sell you new windows. You can buy glass units at a fraction of the cost of new windows. Sometimes savings exceed 75% compared to the cost of new windows. Customers appreciate our honesty and that is what keeps them coming back for other services we offer that are listed below.

This was a fantastic company to do business with from the initial phone call all the way to the end. All four people I dealt with were professional and punctual. The price was reasonable and the quality was outstanding. If you have a broken window or a weird window that leaks, call Specialty Glass. They will take care of you.

I purchased a replacement storm door handle from them as I was having difficulty finding the correct one. I was charged $80 for the handle; when I installed it I discovered that it did not have a lock so I looked online for comparable pricing. I found that I could have purchased it from Amazon or directly from the manufacturer for around $30. I feel that I was taken advantage of in the pricing and was charged an inflated price. If I need future work done for the type of service offered, I will not use this company as I felt I was not treated fairly.

This company is what you want any customer-oriented company to be. One of my problem windows was what I call a "garden window", in the kitchen, that leaked cold air like a sieve. I wanted it replaced with a more standard window. When that window was removed, the previous installation by a different company demonstrated how poorly window installs can be. There were even a couple rotten boards as a result of the previous company's poor quality installation. Everything went smoothly. I would hire this company again in a heartbeat!

Everything was extremely professional from start to finish despite some issues on the initial install. We were given an aggressive price that held despite the issues encountered and the need for a 2nd day to finish the project. I was very impressed with both the quote process and the actual work as performed. The install guys were friendly and courteous and went about their work quickly and efficiently. I would recommend them tp anybody who needed window work!

Their team knew how to repair every window and did a fantastic job! Even though we had not noticed a sash before that needed repaired, they were able to repair it on the day of installation! We can not say enough about the company and their team.!

It went great. The new screens are beautiful, the screens were ready late the next day. I didn't think the cost was excessive, but for the money I would have liked the screen frames to have been cleaned too. But overall, A+ service!

Dave has been at our home over the last several years and has replaced windows for us and has also replaced multiple window sashes on our casement windows. He is excellent at his craft and takes pride in his work. He will give you multiple options and will not oversell anything to you. He is on time and very neat after he completes his work. We cannot recommend Dave high enough.

The contractor timely came out to review the scope of the project, spent over an hour measuring our existing covered porch (approximately 12' x 16') and discussed various ways the porch could be screened in. A few days later we received a detailed bid that covered the construction of the supporting vertical boards, a chair rail, a custom screened door, a total of 23 metal-framed screens, plus two screens for the door, plus priming and painting the new wood. We accepted, and work commenced shortly afterward. Construction took 2 days, painting the new wood 1 day, and installing the screens 1 additional day, spread out over a couple of weeks (we had a tile layer put down a tile floor over the concrete slab after the screen framing was done, this was by a separate contractor). All work was timely done according to an agreed-upon schedule. All materials were top quality, the quality of the work is excellent, and there is definite pride of workmanship showing. We are particularly pleased that the design of the screened porch is consistent with the style of the house. Owners were helpful, prompt in response to inquiries, and easy to work with. They worked directly with our tile layer at our request to coordinate the two jobs. Would highly recommend Specialty Screen & Glass.

They screened in my covered deck. Three men worked two 12 hour days to get the job done. They were very prompt and courteous and cleaned up after themselves. I had contacted other contractors who could not seem to create a plan to screen in this deck. Specialty screen and glass did a wonderful job. We could not be more pleased with the results.

Serviceman came over to measure for window, took measurements. He told us how long it would take(custom job). Returned on promised day and installed window. Have plans to replace more windows in the spring, using the same Specialty Screen and Glass.

Specialty Screen & Glass made a new sliding screen door from measurements provided by me. The house I moved into had no screen on the sliding patio door, and previous attempts to buy a stock screen door from big-box hardware stores failed. I had even called the company that made the door, but they don't sell replacement screen doors. My very kind neighbor (who has the same make of sliding-glass door) actually took his screen door with us to the shop. While the shop was closed at that hour, one of the owners very kindly met us outside and took the door to use as a template. At their recommendation (and the recommendation of my neighbor), I upgraded to a rust-proof screening material. The work was completed on time and for a better price than I had thought possible. I'm very happy with my door and only wish I had had a replacement made sooner!

In December Specialty Glass quoted the service of replacing the glass in two 30 year old windows. I was told the moldings were brittle and could break when removing and installing new glass. I placed the order for new glass. Sure enough when the installer replaced the glass the molding broke. Luckily they had molding that could fit my old windows and now everything looks great. I'm enjoying my new clear windows!!

On the initial visit, Dave fixed one of the 2 problem windows. The other needed a part, so that was ordered. He measured the three glasses we wanted replaced and gave us the estimate for all. We used this company once before but it still surprises us how quickly Dave sees what's needed, measures accurately, so there are no hitches, and gives us the estimate. They also came in both times exactly on the estimate. Melissa, in the office, then schedules the work appointment after the glass and parts come in, and it's done when they say it will be. Excellent experience at unbeatable price.
