SHAWNEE TREE

The original time had to be rescheduled due to weather which was something I expected since it has work outside scheduled in January. The company called me to let me know they could not do the work on the originally scheduled day and said they would reschedule. This was work I did not need to be home for so there was not an inconvenience to me. I came home from work a few days later and saw an invoice was sent to my email account after they had finished. I went and looked outside and saw the two trees were removed and hauled away. I did not notice any problems/ damage from the work they did.

There was nothing special. They did the job. They were on time.

We got several estimates for removal of a river birch which was very close to our house and a white pine which was further out in the yard. The workers arrived in a timely manner, were very efficient and cleaned up the yard. We had asked them to take away the brush which they did, but the river birch logs were perfect fireplace diameter so they asked if we'd like them to cut the logs into sections. They'll have to come back to take out the stumps, but if that goes as well as the tree removal does, I'd certainly recommend them.

I chose this company based on its reviews, but I was not impressed with the service. I initially asked for an estimate to cut down & remove 1 tree. I said I would mark the tree with yellow "Caution" tape. The helpful young woman who answers the phone took my information, but said that she couldn't tell me when exactly Jeff would come to do the estimate, and he couldn't call me just before coming! They would email the estimate to me and I would need to call Jeff if I have questions. I marked the tree with the yellow tape, but I found 3 other trees a few feet away that also needed to come down and so marked them, too. I called back the next day to add the 3 additional trees to the estimate, but because Jeff had already been to my house, he would need to come back, I was told. I approved the first estimate for the 1 tree, but needed the 2nd estimate. The next dat at 10:30 am, there was a knock on my door - 2 Shawnee tree guys announced they were there to cut down my 1 tree! Because I was anxious to have the dead tree cut down because it was near my house, I showed them all the trees that needed to be done. I had to leave for an appointment, but saw them cut down the closest tree. At the edge of a wood, the tree crashed into another, heathy tree and got caught in it. The lead person had to climb the healthy tree to get the dead one out of it. When I returned home, they were gone, but my neighbor gave me an earful about how sloppily the workmen had been and rude to her when she talked to them about it. When I viewed the mess they left from the 3 felled trees, I was upset. The next business day I spoke with the same lady in the office who was very apologetic and said she would let the owner know. That was 5 days ago; I have heard nothing from him. I guess guess customer satisfaction is not a priority. I would not recommend this company, nor would I ever use them again.

They did an excellent job and were very professional.  They took all the debris with them and did such a good job with clean up you couldn't even tell they were here.  We received other estimates and their price seemed like a very good deal.

From first contact to request a bid through completed job,I was very happy with their response time, follow up, knowledge, and friendliness.  I had 8 larger dead trees and 6 medium size trees (Thank you ash borer disease) removed.  They also removed a huge tree trunk that was already on the ground.  They were careful to avoid damaging the trees around the ones being removed and as careful as possible with the yard.  I highly recommend this company.

I called and explained what I wanted done.  Someone went to my house to prepare a proposal.  A proposal outlining the job was emailed to me, itemizing the cost for each part of the job.  After I  accepted the proposal, I received a call giving me the date the job was scheduled.  The fertilizing and bore ash treatment was done immediately.  A day before the scheduled date to remove trees I received a reminder call.  The crew arrived on time to remove the two trees and trim the other trees. There was no mess at all and my yard looked great afterwards. I was advised in advance that a different person would grind the stumps 1-2 days later and when I came home from work two days later, the stumps had been ground.

The company was highly responsive and professional in every way. They were on the scene the next day with crew, crane and all needed support vehicles. Estimate , acceptance had all been handled over the phone and computer that morning. (Highly efficient)
The downed limb , if not properly removed, could have damaged (smashed) many, many smaller boxwood plantings.
The Shawnee crew worked together with PRECISION, speed and upmost respect for the boxwood plantings.. small bedding plants and the lawn. Their actions was highly synchronized... no worker stood around and watched others working to complete their task.
In about 2+ hours, they had the tree limb almost entirely removed from the premises...
and they removed every sign of debris in the yard (small braches and leaves). No marks of heavy equipment were to be seen.
Only a few damaged boxwoods and the large branch collar, high up on the main tree trunk remained as some evidence that some event had happened. So in about a 24 hour period, order was restored. It would not be possible to successfully complete the task any faster.
My wife and i were impressed. We sent out a check by mail the very next day.

Everything went as planned. Would not hesitate to use again. Did recommend to neighbors.

Shawnee came out (after a consultation a couple of weeks ago) and trimmed my maple tree.  They also cabled two main limbs together to strengthen the tree as a whole.  I've used them before on this same tree and remembered that they do major trimming in the winter, so that is why I waited until now to call them.  I like their promptness and caring about the health of the tree.  They cleaned up all debris and were very good about explaining the work that was done.  I feel that they are very knowledgeable and I highly recommend them.

We contacted Shawnee Tree in July, and they were quick to respond, but informed us that they could not do the work until October. Still, they gave us an estimate by the end of July, and we found that it was lower than the other estimate we got from a competitor. Shawnee arrived on the appointed work day, despite heavy rains the preceding weekend. The work was completed on time, to the satisfaction of us and our neighbor. There are tire marks in our lawn that will require some repair, and the landscaping around the trees has been trampled quite a bit. We feel that the wet weather was a contributing factor.

They came when they said they would. They put down a big tree and it was a good price. There was a little bit of mishap with the fence but they repaired it that same day. I wasn't there at that time but my wife said that they were nice, helpful and even offered suggestions. We wanted them to leave the tree trunk just cut up and one of the guys gave some suggestions. They were just really friendly.

Worked till past dark but still could not finish the job that day. They came back within the same week to complete the work. Overall, great job.

Limb fell during the strong thunderstorm which happened around lunch time. I looked in Angie's and found Shawnee Tree, and called that afternoon about 3:00 pm. Shawnee came out that evening around 6 pm, and gave me an estimate, and said they would try to be out the next day to remove the limb. They called in the morning, and told me when to expect them, showed up on time, and completed the job! They also did a great job picking up the debris.

They showed up on time, they kept to the bid and didn't charge me any extra. They cleaned up after themselves. They did a good job and gave me an excellent quote. I would hire them again.

Prices were reasonable, they cleaned up well after the tree removal, took care of it in a timely fashion. This is the second time I used this company - they did a great job the first time removing a huge fir tree from the front yard.

Extremely well, they arrived when expected and were very courteous and professional. The whole crew was very well trained and efficient in their work.
