SHAWNEE HOMES

We were put in touch with Shawnee Homes through Marsh windows......a dealer for Marvin brand windows. After much shopping around, we went with the original Marvin windows and Shawnee Homes quote. The windows came in early and we were scheduled immediately and put on the books for the following week. We liked working with Jeff and Bob.....really nice guys. Wouldn't have any hesitation to trust this team in my home. They were very clean and attentive/flexible to our requests. I would use them again for a future carpentry/remodel project.

They did a great job. Jeff Skinner is very professional and responsive. Bob Hadley, the on-site foreman and carpenter, was a great guy who I trusted to be in my home.

It was kind of expensive, but they did a superb job. They were excellent. Anyone who uses them would not have any problems hiring them. I would use them again in the future.

We had Jeff from Shawnee come out to give us an estimate just before Christmas to put down molding. Originally we were going to have 2 rooms but then managed to get a third done which Jeff adjusted the estimate for. They were also flexible with our schedule which we appreciated since it was the holidays and we had company coming so our finishing dates were a bit different than we originally hoped. The person he sent over was very nice, knowledgeable and was done in less than 3 hours. He did a beautiful job and it came in $66 less than the estimate. We hope to have them do more work for us in the future.

Jeff did an excellent job with the deck. The quality of the work was great and the workmen were polite and worked hard every day. The deck was finished when Jeff said it would be. After a few months there was one or two small problems with a board and he came out and had it fixed within a week. I will call Jeff first next time I need any work done on the house.

Jeff gave us a very reasonable bid to install our kitchen cabinets and microwave. Bob was our installer on the day the cabinets were delivered. Bob did a great job installing the cabinets. Our walls are plaster so Bob used cleats to hang the cabinets. They took great care to make sure the cabinets were hung so they are stable and study. Bob did a good job putting on the molding at the top of the cabinets. Jeff visited the job site during the installation to check on the progress. After the cabinets were installed there were 2 minor issues with scratches. Jeff paid to have a professional repair the scratches. He was very good about wanting to fix the issues. He really stands behind his work. Jeff also worked very well with the kitchen designer. It was a good experience.

This company was recommended to me by Hyde Park Lumber where I purchased the interior doors. Jeff was very responsive and did a great job contacting us periodically through the project. He had great recommendations and his crew was able to adapt our projects and needs to the oddities of an old home.
