Serenity Nails Spa & Salon

This is hands down the best nail salon I have used. It was a bit out of the way for me when I lived in Hyde Park (considering how many other nail salons are right there in that area) but I still choose to go to Serenity even though I now live even farther away in Northern Kentucky. The inside looks like any other small nail joint but the staff here are friendly, thorough and very professional. Their tools are sanitized and their work spaces are tidy.
To be clear, this is not a place you choose when you're looking for a 20 minute pedi and then you're out the door. They do quality work and it takes a little bit longer but it's worth it. My last pedicure two days ago lasted at least 40 minutes. My feet look and feel fantastic right now. After years of poor service at a particular salon closer to my home, I am always amazed at how much time and effort the nail techs here put into taking care of me. You can tell they take pride in what they do, and I appreciate that. They are meticulous with my nails and cuticles, which are occasionally split and in pain. Not once have they actually cut my cuticles and made them bleed or hurt, which has happened many times at other places so I think it is worth noting.
I once had an extremely painful ingrown (probably infected) toenail that made me limp and wake up in my sleep whenever my toe so much as grazed the comforter, and the kind young woman who did my pedicure spent a good bit of time taking care of it for me. She was very gentle and it hurt a lot less than it would have had I done it myself (I know, I tried!). I clenched my teeth and she kept at it. I left there with nice looking toes but more importantly the swelling, redness, and all of the PAIN around my big toe went away within a couple of hours. It healed right up! I can't believe it's just that easy - no, she's just that good. I went in there expecting clean feet, a quick foot rub, and a little polish. She truly went above and beyond.
Overall, I really would (and do) recommend this place to my friends and family. Try them out. If you have an extra hour and you want to spend it pampering yourself, you won't be disappointed by Serenity.

Because I am chemically sensitive, I went to the salon the day before making an appointment to find out whether there was a bad chemical smell. It smelled ok and looked attractive so the next day I made an appointment half an hour before my friend and I wanted to go. We were greeted in a friendly way and escorted to the pedicure chairs. Everything looked clean and new. The nail technicians were professional and took care that our needs were met. We were given free bottles of water. Our technicians, Tiffany and Bea, did an excellent job making our nails look gorgeous.

I have been using them for years. He just opened up his own place and his pedicures last longer than anyone else.
