A Sears technician repaired my AC unit in 2012 (the unit was purchased from Sears in 2003). At the time of repair he sold me a service contract that included all future repairs to the unit. I have renewed this contract each year. 
When a technician arrived to repair my AC unit today he stated the contract only covers the inside unit, not the outside unit.
After spending an hour on the phone with Sears, I cancelled my contract and informed them they deceived me and I would never do business with them again.

I called because the water dispenser was leaking and explained that I thought the valve was the problem. The service tech came on 1/25/14 and made the leak worse and then told me the valve needed to be ordered. The price? $300. I scheduled an appt for 2/5/14 between 1-5 pm. At 3pm, I contacted them and was assured that I was still on the list. At 515, I called and they said the tech had me next on the list. At 630 pm, they called me and said the tech went home. I spent the next hour trying to get someone to help me. They rescheduled initially for 2/20/14. After complaining about the 1 month delay, they rescheduled for 2/6/14 but I was specific in stating I would not be home at 10 am. They arrived at 10 am. I called at 11 am and was told the tech would contact me. I called again at 1230 and they assured me the tech would call within 2 hours. They called me at 215 to say that no one was coming today. The service is horrible. They are unorganized and any time you attempt to talk to a manager, they disconnect the call. Each time you call, you have to start over. Everyone is very polite, but none actually help or actually transfer the call to their supervisor. Thus far, I have spent 3 days waiting for the service tech to come and have yet to get my fridge fixed.

Addendum 2/10/14:  Turns out they have a Customer Complaints department that I was finally given the # for  800-479-6351   option 5.  They arranged for the service tech to come Saturday morning 8-12p and the appt could not be cancelled or changed because it was made by the Customer Solutions department.  He arrived at 1155am.  I ran upstairs to check on the kids and came down <5 min later and he was gone.  But the water dispenser works now.  The actual service wasn't bad, just all the headache in front of it.

I disliked the fact that they tried to get me to purchase the item immediately, the same day that the salesman came out. I disliked the fact that the salesman told me that Sears does all of the work. Sears does everything involved. They do not use sub-contractors, yet the people that came out to put the product in, were sub-contractors. The sub-contractors were very nice and I think that they did a very good job. I also liked the fact that when I told them that they were to over priced, they came down to a price that was reasonable. I would not use them again.

aafter calling several appliance repair providers and finding out they didn't service Samsung refrigerators because they could not get parts I called Sears Home Repair. The call was taken by a rep that had a pronounced accent and read very rapidly from a script. I failed to get an hourly rate during the call, it was not offered and I didn't hink to ask. I was told the the minimum was $65 for the service call. I explained the problem as water building up on the bottom of the refrigerator and the fridge was a double door with freezer on the bottom.
The provider showed up in the allotted 4 hour slot I was given. It was not a Sears truck, it was A&E Factory Service. I asked the service person and he explained Sears had purchased the company. I wondered why that was not communicated when I was on the phone scheduling service nor in the email confirmation.
The service person knew ehat the problem was right away and then told me the repair would cost $180.00. I then wondered why this too hadn't been communicated during the scheduling call. I had them proceed with the repair thinking it might be complicated since it cost so much it was not. The refrigerator was emptied and the shelves and drawers removed. One inner panel was removed to reveal an iced up coil and drain. The fix consisted of thawing the ice and cleaning a drain. The fob was complete in just over an hour.
The bill was $216 total but some sort of discount was applied, something else I wasn't told about, to bring the final bill to $180.00 and the fridge could ice up again. I think this charge is just too much and will try to find a different repair company if I ever need one again.

I had three items that I wanted repaired dishwasher door, my ice maker and my dryer.  I thought I could get a discount if the same person fixed all three.  This is what was implied on the phone, but they basically say that they can not talk price until they come out.  The repair man was friendly, but told me there was no bulk discount.  He also needed to order parts so someone else had to come back.  The second person was again not able to fix the issues so I had a third visit.  Needless to say by the third visit I fixed the frig ice maker myself and our dryer still does not work.  I canceled my final appointment and I got a bill anyway.  I paid them a lot of money not to fix anything.  
I called and complained and after getting passed back and forth several times someone was supposed to look into it and give me a call back in 48 hours.  No one ever called.  I did get another bill though.
I'm not sure if it was dishonesty or incompetence, but I would not recommend Sears to anyone.

The installation was fine. We went to Sears, primarily, for the brand.The overall experience was excellent. The price and quality were excellent. They were punctual, responsive, and professional. I would use this provider again.

They will give me a time frame of when they will come and they will stay in contact with me to let me know what time works best for me. If they don't have the part, they will order the part and contact me and come back out. The price is reasonable and the service is good.

It went horribly.  It malfunctioned and crushed the top panel of my garage door.  I contacted the several times.  As I recall, I had 2 people from sears come to my house.  It was never easy to set up an appointment, and when they did come, they came at the wrong time.  They never resolved the problem, and I had to get another company to come back out to fix it.

This service was very convenient. I damaged a tire beyond repair on a Saturday afternoon, and Sears Auto Center was open the next day all afternoon so I got everything fixed the same weekend. (Many discount tire centers near my home are closed Sundays). I did not need to make an appointment. When I came in, the salesman estimated two hours and my car was ready just short of that. The tires were installed well and work fine. The only thing that could have done better is to replace the spare removed from the wheel and secure it properly in the trunk. These tires were expensive, but probably worth it. I got a 10% discount that day, plus a $56 mail-in rebate from Michelin. Given my incident the previous day in Oakley, I opted to buy the hazard insurance which was an extra $11 per tire (included in total price, above). Overall, I spent a lot of money but solved my tire problem quickly so it will last probably as long as I have the car.

OUR OVERALL EXPERIENCE WAS A GOOD ONE. THE SALES STAFF WAS KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT THEIR PRODUCT. THE INSTALLERS WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL. WE WOULD RECOMMEND SEARS.
