The cost is reasonable. The pair we bought they were having an special on it. Even though they are closing down. I will use them until they will be closing down. They are on the list to close down, so I am not sure how long they will be open. I was using them for my clothing and for my appliance. I will miss them when they leave.

Punctuality was disappointing. A month ago I scheduled a service appointment. The day of the appointment  Sears canceled due to a family emergency in the technician's family. The appointment couldn't be rescheduled until 3 days later. I was happy to reschedule as long as I could request to be the first appointment of the day (8:00).  The scheduler assured me that wouldn't be a problem. But the technician didn't show up until 11:40.

Bought a stainless French door refrigerator after ours gave out. Took 3  days to get delivery. Crew of 3 showed up, dumped the new fridge and refused to take away the old one claimed the counter-depth Kitchen Aid
(34 x 70, 24" depth) was commercial -- even though the manual clearly identifies it as a "home appliance". My husband and 22 year old son were here to help the crew of 3 if needed.
Delivery crew said sales should have specified  it was a Kitchen Aid and scheduled a 4-man crew (which we clearly identified and asked the  salesman Jason Raines at Eastgate about).
Delivery says they cannot reschedule for  another 6 days before they can deliver. 9 days without a refrigerator -- and took the entire day off of work to take the delivery.
should have stuck to Home Depot, where I bought my new dishwasher and front-loader w/d.
Count me unimpressed.

Had to argue with sears warranty service to cover labor on repair. Labor was covered in owners manual. They finally agreed to cover labor. Service reps are rude and unprofessional!. Set appointment for repair. Parts (Large) were shipped to my front door. Required me carrying them into the house (they were heavy) and storing until service arrived. Set appointment for a Monday between 1-5.

Waited and no one showed. Called sears and they said we did not notify them parts had arrived and therefore they did not send anyone out. This is bs since we called twice on Monday to assure someone was coming out. They said we would have to be rescheduled for Friday (We would go to the back of the line). They would not budge on this and could have cared less about missing appointment. I'll write another review if they don't show Friday.

I would never buy another sears product of any kind in my lifetime. This company is falling apart at the seams. The customer service is absolutely horrible and they don't care about customers. Buying the frig was also a bad experience. The frig we selected was going on sale the next day and they would not give us that price the night before. Had to come back the next day to purchase at sale price!

Buyer beware of this company.

We moved into our house in September of last year. We had a home warranty with the purchase through First American.
When preparing Easter Brunch, we noticed that the burners on our KitchenAid electric stove/range/oven would suddenly stop working and thus we could not cook our brunch. So a few business days later we called First American to put in a claim to get the electric stove/range/oven repaired.
First American first sent out BA Appliance Repair to fix it. They said the controls needed to be replaced and that they would order the parts. A few days later the parts showed up at the house and BA Appliance Repair called to verify and schedule someone to come out and do the repair.
When BA Appliance showed up, they had two people because they said this was going to be a big job. Apparently along with the controls, the wiring harness had to be replaced since the controls had different connections. So when they opened the parts box and took a look, the two guys had a conversation and said they could not do the work. They said they were going to call First American and tell them they needed to send out another company.
A few days later, First American called Sears (the company that arrived was not Sears, but A&E Factory Service which is the subcontractor Sears uses) to come out and take a look. They said the control board needed to be replaced. They ordered the part, came out replaced it, and it really did not work even worse than before. They then ordered another control board. The board worked the next time, but the stove still have the problem with the controls going out and the burners stopped working again while you would try to cook. So now Sears/A&E Factory Service agreed with BA that the controls needed to be replaced. When the control parts arrived, the Sears/A&E Factory Service guy looked at the box of parts (same parts that BA Appliance ordered) and said that the stove was beyond repair. They said First American was going to replace it now.
Then I followed up with First American who verified the stove was going to be replaced. BUT....a few days later when they found out this unit originally a high-end stove worth around $2,500 they decided not to replace it and called a third appliance repair company - Day's Appliance Repair.
Day's sent out one of their technicians who said he could fix it. He agreed the controls were bad. I filled him in on the entire ordeal (two months had passed by this time). Day?s said that the repair was very time consuming and difficult and that's why in his opinion the other two appliance repair companies (BA Appliance Repair and Sears/A&E Factory Service) backed out and said they could not to it. I also did not mention earlier that the Sears/A&E Factory Service people dented the stove control panel while trying to put the stove back together. They admitted they did it and said they would replace it. Sears/A&E Factory Service never did, so I did tell Day?s I wanted that replaced when he came back to do the repair.
Day?s submitted their estimate to First American - I am just guessing the repair was north of $500 - and First American gave them the OK to repair it. Day?s ordered the parts and when they came in, Day's called and scheduled the repair.
It was a big job to rewire it and Day?s was here for a few hours. But when it is all said and done, as Day?s promised, they said they could fix it and they did.  Days?s people were real professionals and knew exactly what they were doing.
I was very disappointed that First American called BA Appliance Repair and then Sears/A&E Factory Service in the first place. BA Appliance Repair and Sears/A&E Factory Service should have been able to fix this. I watched the guy from Day?s and it was not so much a difficult job as a time consuming job.
The only thing I can think of is that when BA Appliance Repair and Sears/A&E Factory Service sent their estimates to First American they were too low and so they were going to lose money. Instead of losing money, they just decided to bag it and let some other company deal with the problem.
So if you are in Cincinnati I might suggest you call Day?s first before calling someone like BA or Sears/A&E Factory Service. Oh, and the $60.00 was the deductible I paid. If you have a home warranty, tell them not to use Sears/A&E Factory Service.

Serviceman arrived as promised at 8 am. Spent 15 minutes getting fridge moved, finding leak in hose, splicing hose, wiping water on floor, replacing fridge against wall. He was kind, hard-working, considerate. It took 15 minutes. That's it, 15 minutes. No more water running across the kitchen floor into the dining  room under the carpet. We waited two full weeks for the service man to come. Three or four times every 24 hours, i had to squeeze water from nine rags that were sopping up the water. two weeks of this, early in the morning( 4:30 am), 11:00 pm at night and two more times during the day. The company that provides service for Sears appliances has no control over scheduling times. That is handled by a group in India They really don't speak American. I know be cause I called to beg for an earlier appointment. i knew immediately that I was not speaking to someone that understood my real need. For 54 years,I have purchased Sears products. NO MORE! The CEO is going to put Sears out of business.

I am a great believer in Sears.  I buy a lot from them because of the repair and all of that.  What I’ve found out is that Sears take their bicycles in and they have an outside contractor to put the bikes together.  A few of the handy persons at the store put the bikes together incorrectly.  You need to be very careful to see who assembles the bikes.  They ask you to put the bike together from the box which saves them from hiring subcontractors to do it.

They did a very bad job and overcharged. They did not get the carpet very clean. They used a product called "odo ban" to sanitize it which had an extremely strong unpleasant odor. The odor was still lingering two days later when my new tenant moved in. The windows had to be opened because it was still so strong. The tenant vacuumed up huge piles of dirt and hair and thought that I had not even had the carpet cleaned! I had to show him my $262 bill to prove that I did in fact have the carpets cleaned.

Supposed to arrive between 2 and 4 pm, arrived at 6 pm. Said he had been called in, was not supposed to have been working the job, and had another one to go to after mine. It was the week before Thanksgiving, so it's understandable that they were busy and I am not complaining about being a little late. However, he rushed through in less than an hour and the quality of work was only fair, he did not do well on spots on the carpet, did not spend much time at it, and also did not put pieces of plastic under the furniture legs when he was finished. When I asked him about this, his response was that he did not have any, but I could move the furniture around from time to time while the carpet dried. What, I'm supposed to stay up all night and move the furniture every couple of hours! If, not, maybe I get rust spots or wood stains. I used Sears carpet cleaning in another city for many years, and always got excellent work, but I will not use them again in Cincinnati.

They were early (not a bad thing) and walked us around the house and told us exactly what they would do. One technician found a tear in our dryer vent and patched it for us. After they were done, one of the technicians (Chris) told us to dust the house thoroughly and change the air filter in three days. Both of the technicians were professional and polite.

WORKERS WERE VERY RESPECTFUL AND EXPLAINED EVERYTHING THEY WERE DOING AND WHY. DUCTS WERE VERY DIRTY AND THEY TRIED TO KEEP THE MESS AS MINIMAL AS POSSIBLE. EXPLAINED WHAT WE NEEDED TO DO TO FINISH CLEANUP. ONLY OTHER THING THEY COULD HAVE DONE WAS TO HAVE US OPEN ALL THE WINDOWS WHILE THEY WERE WORKING. THE TRUCK WAS BACKED UP TO THE HOUSE AND EXHAUST CAME IN THROUGH THE DOOR. DIDN'T REALLY NOTICE UNTIL THE END WHEN WE HAD HEADACHES AND FELT WOOZY. WHEN DOOR WAS SHUT AND WE TURNED THE FURNACE BACK ON, THE BUILDUP OF CARBON MONOXIDE MADE THE DETECTOR GO OFF SO WE THEN OPENED ALL THE WINDOWS AND IT QUICKLY CLEARED OUT. THAT COULD BE A PROBLEM IF SOMEONE DOESN'T HAVE A DETECTOR AND DIDN'T REALIZE IT COULD BE A PROBLEM.

I CALLED FOR A QUOTE AND EXPLAINED THE STAIR LAYOUT, ETC. I WAS GIVEN ONE "DEAL" THEN & SCHEDULED THE APPOINTMENT (THE LADY WHO ANSWERED THE PHONE SAID SHE REMEMBERED ME, BUT THE OWNER DENIES THE OFFER WAS MADE). I ASKED FOR A MORNING APPOINTMENT, THEY ARRIVED AFTER 11AM. I ADDED 2 MORE AREAS AND INSTEAD OF BEING GIVEN THE "DEAL" ON THE PHONE, PLUS 2 AREAS (ABOUT $99) I WAS CHARGED $149 MINUS A $10 COUPON I HAD. NOT ONLY DID I HAVE TO LISTEN TO THE PRESSURE SELL FOR DEODORIZER, PROTECTOR, ETC. NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES I SAID "NO", BUT ALSO MY NEED FOR SERVICES THE TECH OFFERED THROUGH HIS BUSINESS, THINGS WE HAD CHECKED PREVIOUSLY & KNEW WEREN'T NECESSARY. THESE COMPANIES USE THE SAME BASIC EQUIPMENT, THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS IF THEY SHOW WHEN EXPECTED, IF THEY CHARGE WHAT'S EXPECTED, AND HOW MUCH THEY HARD SELL ADDITIONAL SERVICES.
