Description of Work: Furnace and air conditioner replacement. Our furnace died just before our annual Schibi furnace tune up. John, the service man, came out and got it started but said that it could quit anytime - we have known we were on borrowed time on both the old furnace and the old a/c unit. John was very professional, thorough and took time to show and explain to us the furnace's multiple problems. We made the decision that we needed a new furnace. Dale Schibi came out and gave us an estimate for both furnace and a/c. We knew that the furnace and the a/c were on borrowed time. He quoted prices for two different models and then said they carried another brand that was not as high in efficiency as the two quoted units but it would be less expensive to purchase. The better units, furnace and a/c we chose even qualified for an energy-saving rebate from Duke Energy. There was no pressure. Installation followed two days later for both the furnace and a/c. We were told that they would start at 8:00 and they were here at 8:00. Jim and Dave installed the two units - Jim did the furnace and Dave did the a/c and helped each other when needed. They were very friendly, professional and meticulous. They finished in one day and left the furnace and a/c areas spotless. Yes, we would use them again and would recommend them to anyone.

Description of Work: The a/c died four days after I closed on my new house. Schibi came out on Fourth of July weekend, replaced the unit with an efficient more environmentally friendly Puron unit in one day. In the last decade they've cleaned and serviced it, replacing one $400 part.

Description of Work: I had Schibi clean and check my furnace and the furnace of another house that I own in the neighborhood. This is the first time I have had a technician actually take the jets and other parts off the furnace to wash them & do a thorough cleaning. Bob also leveled my thermostat as it was not reading accurately. |While I did not go to the other house while he completed the work there, I am confident Bob cleaned & checked that furnace in the same manner. He also instructed the tenant on how keeping the furnace area clean & frequent filter changes improve the furnace efficiency & would lower her energy costs. I will definitely continue to call them for future services.

+ -1 moreTHEY PROPERLY EVALUATED MY HOUSE FOR THE SIZE FURNACE THAT I NEEDED. I KNOW THAT BECAUSE I GOT ESTIMATES FROM TWO OTHER COMPANIES WHO DID NOT. THEY RECOGNIZED A PROBLEM THAT I DIDN'T KNOW I HAD, IT HAD TO DEAL WITH COLD AIR RETURN. THEY WENT TO SOME CONSIDERABLE TROUBLE TO INCREASE THE AMOUNT OF COLD AIR RETURN THAT THE FURNACE WAS GETTING. THIS TOOK THEM AN EXTRA DAY AND THEY DIDN'T CHARGE ME ANY EXTRA.
