Schibi Heating & Cooling

Schibi showed up on time and got to work. They had the new furnace up and running, hauled away the old one and cleaned up the mess by the end of the day. Very happy with their service.

Our experience with their service was spotty. The existing system was fairly old and had four permanent, metal filters which had to be taken out and soaked/scrubbed and put back in. Two of these were big and heavy, and because of our respiratory issues it wasn't healthy for us to be cleaning them. Whenever we called them to service the system, we would always ask if they would clean the filters. The person on the phone would always say "yes," but the service person who actually came out might clean them and might not. We ended up having them install a very expensive disposable filter. Again, because of our respiratory issues, we decided to replace/upgrade our system and invited Schibi out to give us a bid. A salesman came out and talked about our options and said he'd get back to us with a written estimate. It was at least a week before someone finally dropped off the estimate on our front porch, and by then another company was already installing our new system. We just felt like Schibi took our business for granted, since we were an existing customer, and the previous owners had used them also. We were also concerned that, while we might have saved money with them on an installation, we would probably have the same inconsistent service quality over the next 15 or so years.

They were really good. Their prices were reasonable. They were very clean and neat. They showed up on time.

They technicians are very knowledgeable and very well trained. They were able to diagnosed the problem quickly.

The service person determined that the furnace(a Lennox purchased from Schibi in 2003)had not been properly installed to shift from stage 1 to stage 2(increased)gas usage when the furnace was running continuously to keep the house warm. He corrected the problem and did not charge for the call.

They have good expertise and the technician explained the boiler to me. Everything appears to be very good at this point. They were prompt with delivery of their product. The price was competitive and they were very professional. I haven't used the broiler yet so I can't see how well it is.

Norb Kinross came to house explained to me the different furnace systems, the proper size,the quality and installation. They did a great job on the installation.

We live in another state but had to replace our furnace as a condition of sale. Schibi came in several hundred dollars cheaper than our other estimate so we hired them. The Butler City inspector left a note on window, saying the job didn't pass inspection. The vent pipe was 2" too short. I called Schibi and they said they would be out first thing the next morning. They were. We were closing on our sale and didn't want this to be a show-stopper. At this point, I don't know if the fix will pass inspection. Overall, the people were friendly and we hope they got the job done right for the new owners. They did the job a day later than they said they would. Estimate did not include inspection fees & taxes. We had to ask for that, so beware. Debris was left in our garage and we assume it was left by Schibi workers since they were the last ones in the house. That's unacceptable. Owners shouldn't have to clear out their mess.

Called the company a few weeks in advance because I knew there was a huge demand for air conditioner maintenance at this time of the year. The person who answered the phone was very polite and was able to schedule my appointment during the time I requested. The employee who serviced my air conditioning unit was very professional and did a great job within one hour! He also answered all of my questions comprehensively. I have used Schibi Heating and Cooling for many services and I will continue to do so! This is a very professional and reliable company.

Serviceman arrived promptly and was efficient and thorough. He cleaned the area up when done working. I was pleased with the work performed. I purchased the furnace from Schibi and would recommend them to anyone thinking of a new heating or air-conditioning system.

WHEN WE MOVED TO CINCINNATI TWO YEARS AGO, WE HAD SCHIBI INSTALL A NEW A/C AND HEATER. A FEW MONTHS AGO WE GOT A DOG. WE READ THAT INSTALLING AN ULTRAVIOLET LIGHT WOULD HELP REDUCE ALLERGENS AND PET SMELL. WHEN WE CALLED SCHIBI, THEY WERE VERY HELPFUL AND SENT US SOME INFORMATION ABOUT ULTRAVIOLET LIGHTS. THEY WERE VERY LOW PRESSURE SELL. WE DECIDED TO HAVE IT INSTALLED. THE SCHIBI TECHNICIAN CAME OUT AND INSTALLED IT. HE WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL. WE ARE VERY HAPPY WITH OUR DECISION. SCHIBI IS ONE OF THOSE COMPANIES THAT I CAN SEE US USING FOR ALL HEATING AND A/C NEEDS WE MAY HAVE. THEY ARE HONEST, REASONABLY PRICED, DEPENDABLE AND KNOWLEDGEABLE.

HE WAS VERY FRIENDLY. WE APPRECIATED THAT HE SAID WE NEEDED SO LITTLE FREON THAT HE WOULDNT CHARGE US FOR WHAT HE DID GIVE US. IT SEEMED LIKE HE SPENT MOST OF HIS TIME JUST WASHING OUT THE OUTDOOR COIL, AND THAT HE DIDNT EXAMINE THE UNIT INSIDE WHICH SURPRISED US, YET IT DID WORK WELL AFTER HE LEFT.

THE SERVICEMEN ARRIVE ON TIME, ARE COURTEOUS (ESPECIALLY BECAUSE THEY USUALLY HAVE ONE OF MY CHILDREN FOLLOWING THEM) AND DO A GREAT JOB!

I HAD 4 COMPANIES PROVIDE ME WITH A BID AND SCHIBI WAS THE ONLY ONE THAT SENT ME A PROFESSIONAL BID. THE SALES REP. WAS COURTEOUS AND ANSWERED ALL OF MY QUESTIONS AND DID NOT TRY TO SELL ME A MODEL THAT WE DIDN'T NEED. WORKERS SHOWED UP ON TIME, WERE POLITE AND CLEANED UP AFTERTHEMSELVES. WE WERE SATISFIED WITH THE ENTIRE EXPERIENCE.

THE ESTIMATOR WAS PROMPT AND VERY PROFESSIONAL. HE ASKED US ABOUT OUR NEEDS THEN PRESENTED SEVERAL OPTIONS WITH PROS AND CONS OF EACH. HE LET US KNOW UP FRONT THEY WERE SCHEDULING 8-9 DAYS OUT IN CASE THAT WOULD AFFECT OUR DECISION. WE OPTED TO WAIT FOR THEM BASED ON OUR PAST EXPERIENCE WITH ANOTHER WELL KNOWN COMPANY WHO STARTED THE NEXT DAY BUT HAD TO MAKE MULTIPLE RETURN VISITS TO GET EVERYTHING RIGHT. THE SCHIBI INSTALLERS WERE ON TIME, BROUGHT EVERYTHING THEY NEEDED, GOT THE JOB DONE RIGHT THE FIRST TIME, AND CLEANED UP AFTER.

EVERYTHING WENT PERFECTLY - THE COMPANY WAS RELIABLE, THE INSTALLERS WERE KNOWLEDGABLE AND THE FINAL BILL WAS EVEN SLIGHTLY LESS THAN THE QUOTE. THE ESTIMATOR LISTENED CAREFULLY TO OUR NEEDS AND FOUND THE PERFECT SYSTEM FOR US. HE ALSO DID QUITE A BIT OF MEASURING TO MAKE SURE THE SIZE WAS RIGHT, AND VERY PATIENTLY ANSWERED OUR NUMEROUS CALLS WITH FOLLOW-UP QUESTIONS BEFORE WE MADE OUR DECISION. OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE, AND NO-PRESSURE SALES.

TECHNICIANS WERE VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND EFFICIENT. THE PRICE WAS FAIR; AND THEY WERE SO HELPFUL AFTER WE HAD BEEN GIVEN THE RUN AROUND FROM OTHER COMPANIES, AND THE WARRANTY COMPANY. WOULD HIRE AGAIN!

DALE SCHIBI CAME OUT PROMPTLY AND GAVE US BOTH AN ESTIMATE AND A RECOMMENDATION ON WHICH FURNACE WOULD BE THE BEST CHOICE FOR OUR HOUSE. BECAUSE OF A DEATH IN OUR FAMILY, WE DIDN'T HAVE ANYTHING DONE FOR SIX WEEKS. DURING THAT TIME WE HAD OTHER ESTIMATES DONE THAT BROUGHT UP OTHER QUESTIONS. DALE CONTINUED TO PATIENTLY ANSWER OUR QUESTIONS. HE KNEW OF MY FATHER'S IMPENDING DEATH AND HELD THE ESTIMATE BEYOND THE ORIGINAL 30 DAYS. WHEN WE FINALLY HAD THE WORK DONE, THE INSTALLERS FROM SCHIBI WERE PROFESSIONAL AND COURTEOUS. THEY CONSULTED ME ABOUT WHERE AND HOW TO PLACE THE FURNACE AND VENT PIPE SO AS TO CREATE THE BEST LOOK AND MINIMAL DISRUPTION OF OTHER HOUSE FUNCTIONS. THEY CLEANED UP EVERYTHING AFTERWARD AND TOOK A LOT OF TIME SHOWING ME HOW TO USE THE MANY FEATURES OF THE FURNACE AND HUMIDIFIER. IT WAS APPARENT THAT DALE SCHIBI WAS EXTREMELY KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT HIS PRODUCTS. IN ADDITION THE INSTALLERS WERE CRAFTSMEN WHO TOOK OBVIOUS PRIDE IN THEIR WORK. I WOULD DEFINITELY

I CHOSE ANOTHER SUPPLIER, BUT WAS IMPRESSED BY THE THOROUGHNESS OF INSPECTION OF MY CURRENT SYSTEM AND THE PROFESSIONALISM OF PROPOSAL. COMPETITOR WHO WON THE BID WAS A LITTLE MORE IN-TUNE WITH OUR NEEDS AND PROPOSED A SYSTEM WITH A REBATE. I WOULD DEFINITELY CONSIDER SCHIBI AGAIN.

THEY ARE VERY HONEST AND THEIR PRICES ARE VERY FAIR. I CALLED THEM FOR A QUOTE ON AN ENTIRELY NEW CENTRAL A/C SYSTEM, WHICH ANOTHER COMPANY HAD TOLD ME I NEEDED. THEY INFORMED ME THAT I SHOULD HAVE A LEAK TEST DONE BECAUSE MAYBE I JUST NEEDED A COIL REPLACED. THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED. THEY DID NOT CHARGE ME FOR THE REFRIGERANT NEEDED TO HOLD US OVER FOR A FEW DAYS FOR THE LEAK TEST. WE ALSO PRICED A VALVE FOR THE HUMIDIFIER - THEIR QUOTE (WITHOUT A SERVICE CONTRACT) WAS LESS THAN ANOTHER COMPANY'S SERVICE CONTRACT PRICE. I DEFINITELY WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO MY FAMILY & FRIENDS!

THEY WERE PUNCTUAL, FLEXIBLE, CLEAN AND EFFICIENT. THEY ARE ALSO VERY RESPONSIVE TO THE CUSTOMER. THE SALESMAN WAS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND PLEASANT TO WORK WITH.

I HAD SEVERAL COMPETING BIDS AND THEY PRESENTED ME WITH THE BEST PROPOSAL. THEY FORESAW A LOT OF DETAILS THAT THE OTHER COMPANIES JUST IGNORED. THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL, RESPONSIVE, AND EASY TO WORK WITH.
