RUMPKE WASTE REMOVAL

I live in North College Hill and we are forced by the City to contract with Rumpke. Rumpke trucks leak oil weekly on our streets. Complaints have been made to Rumpke directly and no one has done anything to clean up and prevent the weekly reoccurring mess. This is unacceptable.

It's automatic. They do it every week. I don't have to collect them. They send me a bill. It was excellent and I have no problem with them at all. They always pick it up on the day they say and they don't leave a mess out there. I've had them for years and they collect every morning because it's traffic around here.

We pay for three months at a time.  I have been using them for 15 years and they knock my mail box done once. They sent out and investigator and I had to fix it myself but they reimbursed me.

Rumpke failed to pick up my trash-which was in a marked Rumpke container-on the curb. I have never failed to pay a bill, and always on time. I called Rumpke on 10/20/14 and told them my trash was not picked up, even though all my neighbors trash was picked up. They told me it was a driver mistake and the trash would be picked up at the end of the day. Later that day trash was still not picked up. I called again and they now said it would have to be on 10/21. It is 10/23 and trash is still on the curb. Called Rumpke again, asked to speak to a supervisor. They said the supervisor was out on a route and would have to call me back later. I told them my problem and they said that their notes say that they went back out and the trash was not out there, and that the supervisor would have to contact me.

We have been using their services for a year and a half. We pay them on a quarterly basis. Everyone on our street uses them, they have been phenomenal. When we were remodeling they worked with us to haul away all of our junk. They are very flexible.

They are very good. I haven't had any problems with them. I've been using them since 2005. They don't really give us the time when they are going to pick up.

Talked with a rumpke rep. I explained what was to be picked up, She gave me the cost and said that the mattress set had to be wrapped in plastic and stated the day they would be there to pick up the items. Mattress set was wrapped in plastic that same day and left for pick up. Over a week later the items had not been picked up. I made many phone calls and spoke with the rep who lied to me and her supervisor about what we spoke about on the phone the day I ordered the pickup. Dispatch said that they had been out to pick up the items and they were not wrapped. Then they said that they came back out and nothing was there to pick up. Only one person, a supervisor, was helpful in resolving this issue but unfortunately I don't remember her name. She did listen to the recording of the tape between myself and the rep and found that the rep had indeed lied about what was said. Over a week later than promised, the items were finally picked up. The supervisor did agree to charge nothing for my trouble with the pickup. It would have all been over at that, even though the whole issue cost me a lot of my time, but then I had another issue happen this month. During the previous issue, I was told that if there are couches or chairs that need to be removed, as long as they are in the dumpster, they would be emptied out as regular trash. One of the tenants placed a couch and love seat in the dumpster, but when the truck came to empty the dumpster, the driver called to say he would not empty the dumpster. I called and spoke with rumpke dispatch who stated that it is the drivers discretion to not empty it if he felt he might damage the truck. So, we pulled both items out of the dumpster, wrapped and taped them and called rumpke. I spoke with a rumpke rep to let them know we had removed the stuff and would need someone to come out pick up the items and arrange for the dumpster to be emptied. Made the arrangements for the items to be picked up by Friday, but wouldn't commit to them being picked up by then. I was then transferred to dispatch to arrange for the dumpster to be emptied. I was told by dispatch that the dumpster would be emptied the next day. Imagine my surprise when I drove up to my dumpster, it was not empty and trash was everywhere. The couch and love seat that was possibly going to be picked up by Friday is still sitting by the dumpster. After several storms, many animals and trash being thrown on the items, the plastic is ripped and I can pretty much bet they won't pick the items up. Also, a neighboring apartment building had placed a couch in their dumpster was emptied without any problems. I use rumpke residential service at my personal home with no problems, but using rumpke commercial services had been nothing but a problem since I first started working with them.

I had service with Rumpke for approximately 3 years and paid quarterly in advance as an auto-debit from my checking account. When I cancelled my account it took 1.5 months and several phone calls to receive a refund, which was incorrect. In speaking with the company, they told me several different stories, even about the current resident who "did not put out the recycle bin to be collected," which was a lie and it came back to haunt them because the current resident is my HUSBAND!!!! It was an awful experience and I have not received a full refund yet (service cancelled 7/20/2012).

We've used them since we were married. They pick up almost anything and we like their rates. We've also taken stuff over there on weekends for lawn waste. We pay $50 a quarter. We will continue to use them.

They do a good job. They are there on the day that they are supposed to come. They pick up the trash on time consistently, and take everything that is there.

I spend $80 every couple of months.

They seem nice about it. They haven't complained. They haven't left anything. They always come on Mondays. They haven't missed any days. The garbage men are extremely professional.

Very responsive, very well run company.

They are very good. Anything we I leave outside the house they pick it up in the morning. The price is more than reasonable. There have been couple of times I called their customer service and they were quick to respond. The customer service is super.
