I have no choice but to use Rumpke because they have the trash collection contract with the City of Covington. They miss the apppointed garbage pickup days, sometimes two weeks in a row. They leave the garbage toter sitting in the street (which is not where they found it) and when they do so, it blocks my driveway. I have reported this to them multiple times and the office personnel act as if nothing can be done about it. The office personnel also act as if nothing can be done about missed pickups. I have explained to them multiple times that this is a dead-end street, and the street ENDS with my driveway. When they leave the garbage toter sitting 4 feet away from the end of the street, they are totally blocking my driveway. I call them every time they miss a pickup (which is often) and am told that after missing a scheduled pickup, they have 24-48 hrs. to do the pickup, and of course the 24-48 hrs begins after you call them. This usually means no pickup for that week. They are pitiful. Their service is worse than poor. The City of Covington sets the fee for their "service," by contract. I'm sure this is the ONLY reason the fee is reasonable.

I set out an item for disposal and the company did not take it. I called them the next day and was told it would have to be a large item pickup and they would take it with next trash pickup. The next pickup they still did not take it and I was not given a reason why. Called company again and was told someone would pick it up within 24-48 hours. 4 days went by and still was not picked up. Another call to customer service and they said that multiple notes had been left on item by driver saying it was too hale act, when in fact there were no notes left on item. Cut it up into 2 pieces and now waiting to see if they take it this next pickup time.

They are great with everything as well. I have to use them, but if I had to chose I would keep them. They are very professional and clean. They have never left a mess.

We have been using them for a very long time. They will pick up lawn trimmings. We like our specific garbage men, because they bring our trash cans in and put our newspaper on the porch. They give us good service. They never question what we put out for garbage, they just take it. I am pretty happy with them. The overall experience is good. They do a good job. They are responsive, punctual, and professional. I will continue to use this provider. The only concern we have ever had is the recycling service that they have, but my husband canceled that.

We called and got service scheduled for the next day. They were running a bit behind schedule but called and let us know that. When they arrived, they asked what they were to haul away and told us that they would donate some of the old weight equipment that we had. That was wonderful new for me since I knew it was still useful. They gave us an estimate and got straight to work. They were fast and courteous and we could not have been happier.

Their service is fine. They came the week that I requested them to. I did not really like the fuel surcharge or the administrative fee that they charged. However, everything else was fine. I had asked them about the fuel surcharge and they said there had been one in effect for about 5 years, but I imagine that it would have gone up recently.

They've done good for us. No damaged cans. No missed pickups. They seem to take anything we put out as long as it's not hazardous.

This is the first time I've called and complained about the damage to the receptacle despite several occurrences. They noted that they are not responsible for the cans per the fine print on the back of their invoice. They indicated they would send a person to look at it to see if they could repair it, but they did think it would be possible. I have not seen nor heard from the repair person. My can has been on the curb waiting for their attention.

IF THERE WERE ANOTHER TRASH COMPANY IN THE AREA, I'D CHOOSE IT, EVEN IF IT WERE MORE EXPENSIVE. I HAVE USED THIS COMPANY FOR NINE YEARS, BECAUSE I'VE HAD NO OTHER CHOICE. I HAVE HAD TO CALL THEIR OFFICE FREQUENTLY BECAUSE OF PROBLEMS WITH PICKUP, BUT USUALLY THEY FAIL TO DEAL WITH THE PROBLEM. AFTER NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS FROM ME, THEIR SERVICE HAS GOTTEN MODERATELY BETTER IN THE LAST YEAR, BUT THEY STILL OCCASIONALLY LEAVE A CAN UN-EMPTIED, THEN SAY THEY WILL PICK IT UP, BUT DON'T SO THAT I HAVE TO RELOAD IT AND PUT IT OUT AGAIN THE NEXT WEEK. LAST WEEK THEY THREW ALL THE LIDS TO MY CANS OVER A GUARDRAIL. FORTUNATELY A FENCE STOPPED ALL BUT ONE FROM GOING DOWN A 20-FOOT EMBANKMENT. ONE OF THE LIDS WENT UNDER THE FENCE AND DOWN THE EMBANKMENT. I NOW HAVE NO WAY OF GETTING THE LID, RENDERING THE CAN USELESS. RUMPKE'S CLAIMED THEY WERE NOT RESPONSIBLE EVEN THOUGH THREE OF THE LIDS HAD BEEN THROWN IN A PILE RIGHT NEXT TO THE OPENING THE FOURTH ONE HAD SLIPPED THROUGH. NOW I'M OUT ONE CAN.

WHEN YOU CALL THE OFFICE, THE STAFF IS FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. THE ACTUAL TRASH PICK UP IS PUNCTUAL AND THEY DO A GOOD JOB. THE ONLY COMPLAINT IS THAT THEY DO NOT CLOSE THE LID OF THE TRASH CAN ON DAYS WHEN IT IS RAINING OR SNOWING.

FIND ANOTHER COMPANY! WE WATCHED AS THEIR DELIVERY DRIVER DROPPED A DUMPSTER IN OUR DRIVEWAY & DAMAGED IT. HE ADMITTED IT WAS HIS FAULT - HE ''USED TOO MUCH CABLE''. WE CALLED RUMPKE BEFORE HE LEFT TO FIND OUT ABOUT REPAIR. 3 WEEKS LATER, WE''RE STILL TRYING TO GET THE DRIVEWAY FIXED. I''D NEVER HIRE THEM AGAIN & AM FURIOUS WITH THE TREATMENT WE''VE RECEIVED. THEY ALSO LEFT THE DUMPSTER IN OUR DRIVEWAY 4 DAYS LONGER THAN WE CONTRACTED BLOCKING IN ONE OF OUR CARS. THEY ARE RUDE AND EXTREMELY HARD TO DEAL WITH. BUYER BEWARE!!!

I WOULD PAY MORE TO USE ANOTHER COMPANY IN THE FUTURE. WE ARE STILL FIGHTING WITH THEM OVER THE BILL AND DAMAGE TO OUR DRIVEWAY. THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND BILLING DEPT IS ATROCIOUS -- VERY UNRESPONSIVE. AND, ONCE YOU ARE ABLE TO TALK WITH A REP, THEY ARE EXTREMELY RUDE AND UNWILLING TO HELP. I WOULD NEVER USE THEIR SERVICES AGAIN.
