I cannot recommend Kim Rack and Rack 7 Paving highly enough. One Friday afternoon, while tackling a DIY project to pave and patch my residential driveway, I found myself in a tough spot. I desperately needed a specific pavement product that was nowhere to be found in Cincinnati. Frustratingly, other local paving companies wouldn’t even talk to me, likely because I was a small-scale residential customer and not worth their time. Feeling defeated, I decided to walk into Rack 7 Paving unannounced and hope for the best. That’s when I met Kim Rack. She took the time to give me helpful guidance on my project and offered to sell me the exact product I needed—even though it was in a small quantity. I didn’t have cash then and offered to return, but Kim insisted. She gave me the product without hesitation and wished me luck on my project. Who does that? Kim Rack does. This kind of generosity, kindness, and helpfulness is rare, making businesses like Rack 7 Paving stand out. Kim didn’t benefit directly from helping me, but her selflessness left a lasting impression on me. I am very happy with the result. Looks excellent. The first appointment did not work out, was over scheduled. Individual who overbooked is no longer with the company. Second appointment worked well. They arrived on schedule and had it done as stated.

The new pad was excavated and filled with stone. Unfortunately, the 2 ton dump truck which brought the stone and asphalt severely damaged the edge and marred the surface of my existing asphalt driveway. This could have been avoided with the correct size equipment and a bit more care by the operator(s).

The end result is that 80% of the new pad looks fine, but the 20% that is adjacent to my existing, now damaged driveway looks compromised. The crew should have at least sawed a straight edge along the damaged area before pouring the new asphalt.

Rack 7 was great to work with. I had a very tight deadline for getting the work done, and they were extremely accommodating. Weather caused a last minute rescheduling of the job, but they pulled out all of the stops and had people on site the very next dry morning to complete the work. They always showed up at the times they promised, and the final job looks really nice. I was extremely impressed by Don (their representative who came out to quote the job) and his efforts to make sure the project got done on time. He was on site numerous times throughout the process checking on progress, and he was really good about adjusting the schedule to work around the weather issues without creating any major delays. Our new home construction project had been mired in a seemingly endless stream of delays and missed deadlines, so it was really refreshing to have Rack 7 handle this portion of the project in such a professional and timely manner, and it was impressive to see how much value they placed on the customer satisfaction part of the job. Based on our experience, I would HIGHLY recommend Rack 7!

They do commercial and residential paving throughout Cincinnati. I saw the work that they had done. They had done an excellent job. Their price was by far the lowest price. In fact, it was distinctly the lowest price. I would give an A++ for their price.
