We were impressed by his understanding of the engineering of a deck. We had received other estimates, but those companies had not been sure how to attack this job. The work was done quickly and cleanly.

They don?t return calls in a timely manner. I called them and didn?t get an answer for 4-5 spray my bricks. I have shipped 7 gallons of chemically sensitive spray and all I needed for him to do was spray the bricks with the spray I purchased. I told him that because of my sensitivity it would have to be a 2 day work job. It needed to be 55 degrees and it had to not rain the next day. He never called me and I figured he wasn?t coming. This morning he said he was ready to do the job, and I told him that today wasn?t a good day because I had other people working in the home and it is going to rain tomorrow. I decided to cancel the job because he doesn?t call back and doesn?t show up. It was not the same company that I had used in February. I will never use them again.
Response from PTS CONSTRUCTION
"I am sorry to hear that you weren't happy with the communication. My brothers and I take a lot of pride in taking care of our customers, we have families and the weekends are important to them. I am sorry the sealer you ordered came in later than expected and we were unable to make seal the brick last weekend. Sealing the brick should have been a 5 or 6 hour job but with restraints that you put on us we could not complete the sealing. I hope you consider us in the spring to seal the brick and if you need anything else taking care of in your home feel free to contact us. Paul Sanner PTS Construction"

Paul came out and did the estimate. I had other companies come in saying they needed to replace the entire ceiling, which I couldn't afford and did not need. Paul's 2 brothers John and Lee did the work and he came out and helped too. They assessed the situation. They didn't try to sell me a job I didn't need. They fixed the ceiling and did a very very good job for a very reasonable price. They put a lot of nails in it and textured it and rolled out. This ceiling has seen better days, but they did a very good job. The men are very pleasant to have in your home. I have a small home with a cathedral ceiling. They fixed a great big long crack on one wall and two small cracks on another wall inside my house. They came back several times to texture and finish it. You can't even see that there were cracks there. They did some patching on the outside of the garage and the garage door. They oiled up the springs on the garage door. They made the ceiling look very good. They are very nice and very hardworking. They also fixed an electrical fixture in my kitchen that had fallen down. In the basement, they replaced a part of an electrical fixture and replaced a long bulb. I look forward to using them in the future. I was very pleased.

Paul is a one man show and was very responsive. He showed up when promised. The job ran long on day one and he came back the next day to finish it. One month later we noticed a little water under the sink. A gasket went bad. We told Paul and he came out in two days and fixed it. My thanks to Paul for (1) taking ownership and standing by his work. (2) Not charging me a premium just because I live in Hyde Park. If I ever feel I'm being charged more than a similar house in another part of town - the contractor will never get my business. If you are looking for small to medium sized jobs, Paul will meet your expectations at a cost you will be happy with.

They were very easy to get a hold of. They were very professional. I felt comfortable with them in my house. They gave me a very clear quote on all of the work that would be done and told me who would be in my house. Their workmanship was very good.

Paul Sanner was a good communicator and kept in touch throughout the project. We were pleased with the quality of the work. We also appreciated his flexibility in taking on a few additional jobs that came up after he had already started with the original project. We did have to call him to come back and finish the last few details on the project, but he was very responsive once we did that.

He was absolutely wonderful. The price was very good. He was very professional and gave me good suggestions. He did work that I would of had to pay two people for. I would highly recommend him.

Paul is very responsive and was quick to provide an estimate. His price was several hundred dollars cheaper than the next lowest bid, and nearly half the cost of the highest bid. Paul worked quickly and followed up after the job to make sure we were satisfied. I did have to point out a few relatively minor items that I felt needed to be fixed, such as a few corners and edges needed to be touched up with additional mud and sanding, one of the boards used to box in a window was cracked, etc. Paul quickly responded to these requests and fixed them immediately. You'll be hard pressed to find someone willing to do drywall work cheaper than Paul. Although I did have to ask for a few minor items to be touched up, these issues were all handled to my satisfaction. Overall, we found Paul to be an excellent value.

Excellent. Paul was very easy with whom to talk and as I was explaining what I wanted done he provided insight and options regarding different ways to do things and/or different things to think about. He also provided some good catches on other areas of the basement that were still a work in progress. Very efficient and did a great job overall. Would hire him again absolutely.

Paul and assistant pulled carpet and padding in 2 rooms and screwed down the flooring to eliminate the squeaks. Was able to use screws and shims to tighten the hardwood floors from the basement. Only contractor who did not suggest tearing out kitchen floor and removing cabinets to fix floor. Had to return once to address portions of the hardwood floor that was still squeaking. Apparently this is not uncommon for this type of problem.

Paul did a great job cleaning our gutters. He also repaired 2 areas in our plaster walls that had bowed out. He skimmed them twice to make sure they blended nicely. We felt like he did a lot of work for a great value. We have had Paul work on our home several times. We will not use anyone else. We trust him so much. He really cares about doing a good job and making people happy.

Paul and his crew came out and got right to work. He had about five guys on the job! While half of his crew were busy replacing the rotted wood, the other half were busy rebuilding the wall and drywall finishing. They did a great job in record time! They worked until about PM the first night and got almost everything done in one day. A couple of days later, Paul came out and finished the second coat of drywall mud and sanding.

Paul Sanner was great. We were under a time-line. We had company coming from California with no shower or sink available. This is a one bath home and it was imperative we have shower facilities. The entire story is that we had to fire a contractor a week and a half before the visitors were arriving. We fired the one contractor on a Sunday about 3:00 p.m. and started calling contractors from Angie's list leaving messages. We were very stressed out. Paul returned our call and came out at 5:30 p.m. for a site visit, had a quote to us via e-mail by 10:30 p.m. that night and started work on Monday afternoon. He and his crew worked hard sometimes being here until 8 p.m. and worked part of the following weekend. We could shower by the Wednesday our guests were due in. After the visit was over, Paul came back out and spent some partial days finishing things up. The bathroom looks wonderful and we thank PTS Construction for helping us out with such a short deadline. He did a 10-12 day job in 7.

I e-mailed Paul a list of items I wanted done. He called and told me what items I needed to buy for the job. Paul arrived and took care of everything on the list. It was great. He went from room to room with the list and checked things off as he went. He has worked on our home several times so he knew exactly what to do. We are never disappointed with his work. We've already started a new TO DO List for Paul's next visit.

Paul from PTS called me back promptly the same day I called. He managed to start the job the following Monday and was completed in one week. He completely explained to me the work he was doing and called me a couple times during the week to give me progress reports on his own initiative. He even did extra things on the job that impressed me with the quality of his work such as repairing a leaking AC pipe under the house, adding a crawl space well and putting a sock bib around the downspout where it goes into the French drain at ground level to prevent dirt from getting into the drains.

Paul was great to work with. He helped us problem solve our crooked wall and came up with a great and well priced solution. He completed the work on time, and cleaned up behind himself. The wall is better than before and the sink that he plumbed and installed works great. I actually hate to tell you how impressed we are with the job him did, because he is in such high demand, I don't know if we'll be able to get him back to do a few more jobs for us!

We hired Paul to paint the kitchen ceiling and walls during our kitchen remodel. We had several bids and Paul was the most reasonable. We picked the color and purchased the paint and primer. Paul did a great job painting our walls and ceiling. He did a nice job trimming it out. The paint job is even and covered very nicely. He did a better job than the painters I hired to paint the whole house. I have also had him touch up other places in our home that the other painters did not do a good job on.

We had a list of misc items. We called Paul because he has done numerous projects on our house. I called Paul to go over the list. He asked me to e-mail it to him so he would know what tools to bring. Paul arrived and quickly worked through the list. I liked the fact that he had it and checked off the items as he went. He brought all the tools he needed and didn't need to run out to get anything. Everything he did was nicely done.

Paul tore off the old decking that was put on by another contractor. The other contractor installed a deck on the porch that had gaps in the wood. These gaps allowed water to penetrate the ceiling underneath the porch and rot it out. The previous contractor did not miter the trim around the posts. Paul tore off the decking and discovered that the wood framing was rotted underneath. He replaced the framing and stabilized the porch. He replaced the decking with tongue and groove fir wood. The porch looks beautiful. Now the water won't penetrate the framing underneath the porch. The trim work looks great.
