Not well. Floor was damaged in several places by installer. We wanted floor replaced they wanted to repair. Repair made the floor worse. After a long time back and forth they replaced obvious damaged areas. We are still finding cuts in the floor. Trim work is not good. Really poor craftsmanship. Towards the end they made attempts to make some things better but we just got tired of them and wanted to be done.

We had been shopping around looking for the best price for the product desired. We stopped in to Prosource during their once-per-year public sales event. During that meeting, they were helpful and we found exactly what we wanted at a terrific price. However...when our hardwood flooring came in, all of it was "short stock"-meaning pieces 6" to 2' in length. When we called them about it, they were argumentative and told us that they clearly told us that it was short stock and that was why it was such a good price-they had never ONCE mentioned that. Being very persuasive, my husband received a refund and they told us they had another product that was regular premium hardwood flooring. I went to the showroom to discuss with them, and in so doing, told them that we wanted standard hardwood flooring, with regular 4-6' long boards. They told me that the other product was premium flooring, that the lengths would vary but there would be 4-6' boards in each box. One of their associates in the discussion said "the box is 6' long and you'll have pieces as long as the box." Upon arrival of our new wood, it was NOT as they indicated. They are all from 1 to 3' long. I immediately called them, and they were the rudest people I have ever dealt with. They said that they told me the average size piece would be 31", (which they did NOT), and that there would be pieces up to 42" maximum, and in checking 3 boxes there is not The manager was not at all trying to please a customer - he was argumentative, telling me that this wood is installed in upscale new homes, is top of the line, is the same as any product that you would get elsewhere, and he said that they would not give us any kind of refund. When I indicated that one of their associates, involved in the conversation, specifically said that there would be pieces up to 6' long, he said "Well he didn't know what he was talking about and shouldn't have opened his mouth." In the end, after much argument, we have unfortunately given up. Our installer feels that it will look OK once installed, so we are going to go with it, and hope for the best, as we cannot afford to eat $2600 worth of flooring costs to try to find what we want elsewhere. Hopefully we won't have problems with the carpet or tile (they both look fine.) Our installers have indicated that they have had multiple problems with Prosource, and when they went to pick up our order were treated very rudely. Our installers indicate that the product they have installed that is purchased from other companies do have many long boards, and what they sold us is very low-end quality flooring. My price rating is based on VALUE for what we paid. The price was right (but not significantly less than the same product elsewhere)-the quality was poor. This was our first time ever ordering hardwood flooring, and thought we had covered all the bases. Even in the 2nd go around when we DID cover the bases were completely lied to. BUYER BEWARE!!!

My experience here was not good. They are of little help in making selections and you have know idea of the cost until you talk with your contractor. The contractor and ProSource end up negotiating the price and, if you are lucky, you will get a discount. I made three trips to the Kemper Road location which involved 3 hours of driving. This was a major waste of my time!
Response from PROSOURCE WHOLESALE FLOORCOVERING OF CINCINNATI
"WE ARE A MEMBERS ONLY SHOWROOM. THE PRICING IS UP TO THE MEMBER TO WORK OUT WITH THEIR CLIENTS. WE HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THE CONTRACTORS NOT PASSING ALONG ANY DISCOUNTS IN PRICING. I'M SORRY THAT THE MEMBER WENT THROUGH THIS, BUT IF SHE HAD CONTACTED US WITH THE PRICING DISCREPANCY WE WOULD HAVE BEATEN THE PRICE OR GIVEN HER $100.00. WE HAVE A LOW PRICE GUARANTEE."

EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE. PROSOURCE WAS RECOMMENDED BY CERTIFIED HOME IMPROVEMENT WHO WAS DOING THE REST OF THE BASEMENT REMODELING. THIS CONNECTION ALSO GAVE US PREFERRED PRICING AT PROSOURCE. THE SALESMEN WERE VERY HELPFUL AND GAVE US GREAT GUIDANCE. OUR BASEMENT HAD PREVIOUSLY HAD SOME WATER PROBLEMS SO THEY STEERED US TO CARPETING THAT COMES IN LARGE SQUARES AND DOESN'T HAVE TO BE GLUED DOWN SO ITS A GREAT SYSTEM IF THERE IS ANY POTENTIAL FOR WATER PROBLEMS.

PROSOURCE IS A WHOLESALE FLOORING COMPANY. YOU MUST BE REFERRED TO THEM BY AN INSTALLER TO BUY FROM THEM. IN OUR CASE, THE INSTALLER WAS STEVE WEINSTEIN, WHO HAS RECEIVED HIGH RATINGS FROM ANGIE'S LIST MEMBERS AND WHO INSTALLED THE FLOORING WE PURCHASED. PROSOURCE'S PRICES ARE VERY COMPETITIVE.
