Over and Above Painting

It was great..

Showed up & did the job all as promised in 5 days, But can not get them to return phone calls regradng probem areas that need rework. Began calling 4/22 with no response.

Very well, actually recommended that he could repair and paint an area that we thought needed total replacement.

The team arrived on time and worked quickly and efficiently.  They covered all the furniture with drop clothes and cleaned up most of the mess....there was still some dust to clean up in other areas of the the house due to the plaster repair but that was understandable.  They were done with their work in the scheduled two days.  No surprises.

They were working at my neighbor's house and i asked for an estimate to work at my house when they were finished next door. I received a reasonable price and they did a nice job power washing all my concrete. Jesse does really thorough work.

They also did some work on our deck when we had some wood that rotted out and so they came back and they fixed that. The owner, he does deck cleaning, he does like paint, cleans the siding on our house and we contact him every so many years and say okay it is time for you to come clean the siding again. Their work is good and he is reliable. He is the kind of guy that if needed to be gone to work all day and he was in my house painting, I would leave him here. He is really a down to earth guy.

They were pretty good.  I can’t remember how much I spent on their services.  They did a very good job.  They were very neat.  I didn’t think that they over charged or anything and so I was very pleased.  I will use them again in the future if I need to.

Dave had good responsiveness to my inquiry for a quote. Over and Above's bid was the lowest of 3 contractors that visited; however, the bid did not include the cost of paint and stain. They ask the homeowner to provide the paint/stain. I found this policy slightly irritating, as I had hoped to find a contractor that would help us pick colors; however, their price was so much better, that I chose to do the legwork on stain and paint. Also, Dave seemed to be the most familiar with stain products on wood siding of the contractors I interviewed. Dave and his crew power washed the siding, scraped and primed as needed, and completed all work in 5 consecutive days. It is now 9 months later, and I have no complaints. I would use them again so long as I felt confident about what colors I wanted.

Very well. His quote was extremely competitive, he and his crew were professional, and our house looks great. We have a difficult job because our house is on the side of a hill and we have lots of trim, a little here, a little there. Picky work. They immediately advised me when we ran into trouble, our new shutters did not match the old. They knew I would not like the results. We renegotiated the price on the spot, and I ran out and bought all new shutters so they would all match. They then installed all new shutters, instead of installing some new ones and painting the others as planned.

Excellent job. Arrived on time. Cleaned up after they were done.

We had Dave and his crew clean, repair and paint 6 rooms in a house we were rehabbing to live in. Dave made the appointment and showed up on time. Dave is a very nice and pleasant person. We received the bid back right away. Once we contracted with Dave, he brought a large crew to clean the walls. There was an unbelievable amount of paste on the walls. They did an excellent job of cleaning the walls. This house was in very rough shape and needed a lot of repair work to the plaster. Overall the repair work was ok. I found a lot of places that were spackled and never sanded. Some places were painted over the rough patch. Dave does not use oil based paint. The trim in our house was oil based, so he had to sand some of the window trim to get the paint to adhere. After he left and I cleaned the windows I noticed a number of the window glass panes were scratched from where they sanded the trim. The paint job turned out good, considering how rough the house started out.

Dave was prompt in providing an estimate. After signing contract, we set a date for work. He and his crew were there when promised and were at the house early everyday. They were professional and left the area clean. The final result was very good. Dave was attentive to any ''punch list'' type items that needed additional work.

They were excellent, I would recommend them and have already told my friends about them.

I CALLED DAVE AND HE ANSWERED MY INQUIRY AT THE END OF THE WORK DAY. HE GAVE ME AN ESTIMATE FOR THE WORK THE NEXT DAY AFTER CHECKING OUT THE JOB. HE AND HIS ASSISTANT CAME AT THE DESIGNATED TIME AND WORKED EFFICIENTLY AND NEATLY. I WOULD HIRE HIM AGAIN.

MR. HUGHES WAS VERY NICE AND FOLLOWED UP QUICKLY TO VIEW THE JOB AND PROVIDE A QUOTE. HE SCHEDULED THE WORK IN A TIMELY MANNER AND IT WAS COMPLETED ON TIME. MY ONLY COMPLAINT IS THAT ONE OF THE WORKERS LEFT CIGARETTE BUTTS AROUND THE YARD.

OVERALL, WE ARE VERY SATISFIED WITH THE WORK DONE, AND THE PRICE. WE WILL USE, OVER AND ABOVE, AGAIN.

YOU HAVE TO BUY YOUR OWN PAINT, BUT YOU GET THE BUILDERS DISCOUNT.

THE PAINTING WAS EXCELLENT AND THE CARPENTRY WORK WAS ALSO.
