This job required a lot of ladder work, which I could not do myself at the time. I had used Osterwisch before and they had done an excellent job for me. I had already cutout the drywall to find the leak which was behind the shower control valve wooden support. Greg came out and removed the support, fixed the leak, and put everything back together. He also re-positioned the support so that the shower handle did not stick out as much as before, so it looked a lot better.

Both jobs went very well despite difficult situations. The sink drain was an odd size (not an American size), but they explained the situation well and then they were willing to come back and install the drain I found on-line. This Spring the pipe from the downspout had been blocked, but they cleaned it out, got water running through well, and gave us tips as to how to reduce the problem in the future.

I had worked with Osterwisch previously and theirs was the 2nd quote I received for this job. They agreed to do the work on a time and material basis. The quote I received from another local plumber seemed out of line, and when Osterwisch was done, they came in under the other company, so I was very pleased. They did an excellent job! They also had to move the vent lines in the bathroom, which required them to have to cut open a wall to gain access. They also installed a new toilet flange and installed the toilet. The senior plumber, Mike knew what he was doing, cleaned up, kept me informed and was great to work with. My daughters family moved into the house in November and they have not experienced any issues with the new plumbing.

They have different divisions within the same company. They do electrical and plumbing work. Electrical work is expensive. They did a good job. John was the guys name. He knew what to do and how to do it and lickety split and he was done. I didn't get bids or anything but I know that stuff is pricey but it has to be done right or you can burn it up.  It took a couple of days to get the parts and stuff. I know I had the lamp post replaced and the wire was underground. I dug the wire up and he came over and put the wire in and I covered it up. Stuff like that. They were good on the electric. 

They advised me what I needed. I don't know about the electricity. At the time my electric meter was in the basement and they said that under the new code it was supposed to be outside. It's an older house and I don't know what's required. They did. I needed a new breaker box and they put that up. They knew what was required and how to do it meeting the code. It met the inspection trouble free. I remember John the guy that did the work. I liked him and he was good to work with gave me some advice on what needed to be done. They are a professional company and I think they're one of the bigger companies in the area. I don't know all the guys; just John and he might be retired by now, I don't know.

A representative came to our home and looked at the vent. He said he would first have to determine what the code required and then call us back. We were apprehensive as the water heater was leaking. He never called back and as a result we lost several days in having the repair done and are now faced with finding someone closer to the holidays. A professional would have had the courtesy to get back to us in some way.

The work went fine and was completed as promised.

We use them for our plumbing needs. Their prices are reasonable. We know the owner and we just like them. We feel like they're reasonable. Other plumbers have been unreasonable.

From the first arrival estimate, they arrived an hour late, but for access to same-day service, I was still grateful. John Osterwisch was great - knowledgeable and courteous. He came prepared with parts, and fixed the electric main mast quickly.

When I called I was immediately scheduled within a week.  The electrician was prompt and went right to work.  He was also very nice and explained the work.  In the end, I told him that in AL I was to ask about a discount.  He inquired and said that there is none.  In my opinion, I thought that $160 was high for a half an hour of labor.

Osterwisch does an OK-Average job of maintaining our HVAC. Nothing great and nothing bad. Just average. They do excel in getting to your job quickly. But then just average work. Hope this info is useful

We received Osterwisch as a referral from the Honda East dealership when purchasing our generator.
They were identified as a reliable, qualified, and professional contractor for sub-panel installations for generator use.
Other electrical contractors usually gave us a, "yeah, I think I know what you need," response.  Craig knew exactly what we were talking about when we called to discuss generator hookup.  Craig came across as confident and experienced with generator backup installations.  He asked good questions, made suggestions, and confirmed we were headed in the right direction before work began.
We expanded our electrical installs to include the lighting and fans once I felt a genuine sense of professionalism and competence from Osterwisch.
The estimate visit went well.  Craig nodded in approval and noted all of my concerns for all three jobs. 
The written estimate was provided quickly and was priced exactly where we needed to finish all three projects.
He was willing to get materials ordered, schedule work, and completed all three jobs before billing a single penny.
Their employees have fantastic attitudes and treated the homeowner with respect and concern.
DO's:
- Do try to plan before your estimate visit.  It helped to be able to describe where switches needed to be installed, what generator circuits would be covered, and any code/safety issues that they may be able to address in the same visit.

Great job and came out next day with a standard service call.  This is a very professional company for electric, HVAC, and plumbing.
