Had them come out for a quote. High pressure sales but we caved as the sales lady was really nice and signed. Had second thoughts as it was a high pressure sales situation, and reached out to the sales lady, she came out a second time, addressed my concerns and questions, and updated the work order to add a woodwork project of sistering a joist and removed the permit fee as the job did not need a permit. They called to confirm the date they were coming out to do the job and I specifically asked for them to confirm that BOTH the waterproofing and woodwork was going to be completed that day, she paused, and told me yes, the job will be completed on Monday. Monday comes, they leave with incomplete job and request payment for the updated amount, so they had the correct updated order on hand. Part of the job included "remove and replace" the steps to the basement as they are in the corner. They dismantled the steps and did not replace them. I had 1/2 a set of stairs to my basement, just hanging there. Tuesday I reach out to GM Clayton and he tells me he will be in touch. Over 24 hours later I complete the "How did we do?" job completed survey, and I get a call from Clayton. They are coming out the following Monday to complete the job. Monday comes, they still do not finish the job and hire a subcontractor to finish the work. Literally had a different contractor come out and give Clayton a quote for the job in my home on Monday. He returned Tuesday morning to finish his job. He did a HORRIBLE job replacing the steps that were removed. Once I was FINALLY able to see the work in the basement, the workmanship is total crap. Clayton says they are coming out next Monday to repair the work but I am really disappointed with the whole situation. I will be seeking legal council about them breaching the contract, and seeking a refund for the inconvenience and stress of this due to their negligence.

Eric Henderson was our inspector. He was wonderful, looked everything over and explained everything he was doing and what we needed to have done. Unfortunately we just had our basement painted and storage cabinets installed that we now have to take down. Turned out we have a clogged French drain that caused the leak just before the Cabinets. At least we didn’t replace the carpet before we found the leak.

Did everything wanted/expected and more. The last inspection I had was by Steven Fortae he was extremely knowledgeable was able to answer all my questions and explain the why behind the answers. He took his time laser measured everything and explained what to look for outside and I side the house. He even showed me the area of my house were it was engineered wrong (built in 1966). Fortunately for me I already fixed that and he explained what I did right and why and how it should have been designed originally.

The team of Iran, Chris and Zack did a great job on encapsulation of our crawl space. They they were efficient in getting set up, doing the work and then cleaning up. They worked well as a team with all members contributing. A good experience for us.

Steven/Stephen was awesome. Was very efficient and respectful. He was personable and gave options and suggestions of services without me feeling pushed into it. We've used this company both in Columbus and Cincinnati on all of our homes and will continue in the future.

Stephen from Ohio Basement Authority was able to come at emergency notice and fix a problem with my sump pump that was causing it to spill water into my basement during a storm. Even if he hadn’t been able to come so quickly he had already put out a notification to other basement waterproofing companies in our area that there was an emergency and that I needed help quickly, putting my needs over that of any monetary motivation.

Shawn and his crew (Elijah and Simon) were amazing!! Extremely professional and personable. Really a great experience for something that is very stressful for a home owner. Couldn't be happier with the job. Highly recommend them!

I have used OBA twice to solve my basement issues. Once for waterproofing and once for structural stabilization. This last time, Iran, Chris, and Zach came by to install I-beams to my basement wall. They resolved issues that prevented proper installation and the final result was great! I would use that team again for any future work! The team was great to work with and responsive to client concerns.

David, Damarion and Zack did the specified work in the crawl space quickly and efficiently. They removed the old, falling apart insulation. They insulated the walls and encapsulated the dirt floor to prevent moisture ingress. Zack went above and beyond by removing one small and one large 6 foot black snake so the work could be completed.

So far too many issues for 18800.00 And all they care about is make sure to leave us a review. Sloppy. Plumber sent. Now 2 year old washer leaking from bottom after they moved it. Didn't tell me all this BEFORE.

I was a repeat customer- not anymore. I hired Basement Authority to fix sagging floors in my house. They quoted me $7400. They came out and placed the beams which made some parts of the floor worse and not even touching the area that needed correcting. The crew was getting ready to leave and my worker said that looks worse. The worker agreed. They tried something else with no luck. The workers ended up leaving with nothing being fixed. I never received a call or any communication with a plan to fix it. I guess they thought I was just another ignorant homeowner that they could take advantage of. I called multiple times and finally got another guy to come look at it. He said the original problem was missed and quoted me another $4400 to fix the problem! Buyers beware.

We returned from vacation and found a large separation next to our sliding door (between the door and the brick). I had four companies come out to evaluate and the evaluations ranged from “it’s seasonal I would wait and see after the ground gets rehydrates” to it is something that needs taken care of today”. We chose Ohio Basement Authority because their approach was based on actual information and a bit of science. I must say they were not the least expensive of the options, in fact they were the highest. However I wanted to fix the problem and not have to worry. We were informed the wall had dropped about an inch across the 25ft length. Without going into great detail, placing piers to stabilize the wall was recommended and we agreed with the solution. The team (Bradley R. and Jacob P.) that came to do the work were knowledgeable and professional. They introduced themselves and asked if there was a problem starting early. Then they began work as soon as they could, they had to go get a smaller backhoe to fit through our gate. They kept us informed throughout the process and were respectful of the space. This is a very invasive process digging down to the bottom of the foundation. The pile of dirt was amazing as well as the trench it was extricated from, but again they attempted to keep the mess minimal (which is not possible). After completion of the pier placement they filled in the trench and leveled the massive dirt pile the best they could, we will have to wait for some settling to get a final leveling. I would definitely recommend Ohio Basement Authority from the sales team to the installers they are geat.

The work completed was excellent. Iran, Allen, and Drake were a great crew. Could not ask for better. They cleaned everything up as if nothing had happened.

All went well. I was truly concerned about the water seeping into the basement every time it rained. The OBA team consulted with me and assured me they could complete the work needed that would stop the leaks. They explained very clearly what needed to be done, and the time frame. I am very pleased, and it looks amazing!

We had an extremely positive experience with Ohio Basement Authority. We had an excellent experience with Tyler who we purchased the services from and an excellent experience from both of the installers themselves - Stephen and Ivan. They went above and beyond throughout (too many examples to list) and were professional, friendly and courteous with a strong work ethic and principles. A few unexpected problems arose during the installation and they took ownership and made it right. I could not have been more impressed. Lastly, after all of the work was done, Tyler swung by to check how things went and even offered to help put things back in the basement. Excellent experience and cannot recommend Ohio Basement Authority enough.

Charles, Cassey, and Stephen were very professional and did an excellent job on our basement. They were very nice, hard workers, and finished up very timely. Highly recommend this crew and this company!

Will and his associates did a wonderful job. They were very efficient and left no mess. The work was finished quickly and we have had no leak since completion.

It went fairly well. They did have to come back out and relocate the exit pipe. It was moved in quick time and customer service with crew leader was exceptionally.
