Wow! I could not be any happier with my experience with Oakley Home Improvement. Chris treated my home with respect, he did the work with expertise, and it was completed flawlessly. Chris arrived when he said he would. His first step was to protect my hardwood floors which is very important to me (I did not request it done, he just did it). At no time did he rush or behave like he had something better to do. I felt that my home was a priority to him and that I was respected as a client. I live in an older brick home so most home improvement projects are a lot more difficult. Chris handled every surprise with ease. Everything (trim, paint, flooring, outside) was left in as good or better condition than when he arrived. I am thrilled, have already recommended them to a friend, and I will be hiring Oakley Home Improvement again!

Fit and finish of the workmanship was excellent- bathrooms were updated including reconfiguring a bathroom by removing a wall and building a custom shower. His team did a great job!

Oakley Home Improvement did a great job.  They had the whole job done in two weeks and ready for the holiday.  I really like how they painted the main room one color (a light beige) and painted the accents, trim and ceiling another (white).  It was a good idea and the house looks great.  I have a rather high foyer and they brought in scaffolding to take care of it.  They also replace some dry wall where there had been some water damage.  They also let me know that I had some termite damage as well.  All in all, it was a very good experience.

They were fabulous.  They were just very helpful, and accommodating.

Chris' guys do great work and get it done quickly. Logistics can sometimes be tricky, but we are always happy with the outcome.

The painter who was supposed to do the job had health issues and was unable to do it. It was all in a state of crunch and we needed somebody to do it fast so that we could finish cleaning. They stepped up and did it and we've been satisfied.

We've been planning our dream kitchen for years prior to us finally purchasing our home in Hyde Park. Being over 100 years old, we were wary of remodeling anything, as we didn't want to disfigure such a historical home. But upon meeting with Chris the first time, I knew we had lucked out. Chris isn't your prototypical contractor...he doesn't lecture what you SHOULD do....he doesn't speak to you as if you've never picked up a hammer before. Chris LISTENS to your wishes, and then simply makes it happen. Not only is he one of the best contractors around, he's also one heck of a guy. From start to finish, Chris and his team were nothing but excellent! They provided a quick and fair estimate...were always very responsive to inquiries...were always on time...cleaned up after themselves EACH day...interacted with our family like they had known us for years! All of these factors would have made the project successful by themselves, but the finish product was hands down, FAR BEYOND our expectations! When we initially started the project, I had an image of what we wanted...Chris gave us that and so much more! Chris and his team at Oakley Home Improvement have gotten themselves clients for life! This old home will need some constant attention, and we are very lucky to have found Chris! I would, and have recommended Chris to anyone and everyone looking to make improvements on their home!

Chris Lewis met with me to review my kitchen and my own drawings for remodeling my kitchen. He provided some great advice on how to modify the layout to gain more counter space and improve the functionality of the kitchen overall. He also provided a choice of cabinets that he is an distributor for which were a better quality and lower price than the cabinets I had selected from a local big box home improvement store. He provided me a written quote and upon my approval we scheduled the job. He arrived on time and did a very professional job removing the old kitchen and the wall between my kitchen and family room. He installed drywall, trim, a new linoleum floor, cabinets, countertops, sink and disposal, electric service for my new dishwasher, microwave, and stove. Chris had to custom make one of my counter tops to fit the eating area. Chris installed all of my new appliances that I had delivered to the house. In addition, Chris replaced my cellar stair treads, installed a new stationary tub and faucet, and removed some old gas line from the ceiling in my cellar. The job was completed on time with Chris working around my schedule. The final price was exactly as quoted even though I know Chris encountered some extra work he hadn't planned on. The finished kitchen is beautiful and greatly improves the value of my home.

We hired them to do some more work later this year. They get a very strong A on responsiveness. They came out quickly and got the work done quickly. Their approach was more remedial: out of the several estimates we received, we got widely different estimates for different scales of projects. They proposed fixing the problem as opposed to totally replacing all the frames. We will see over the long term whether the fix was the smarter move than the total replacement. For now at least, it looks okay, and it was very cost effective and their service was prompt.

Chris returned my call quickly, and we scheduled a time for him to come out and take a look at the repair work. He was on time and was very professional. I did have to email him once to ask for the estimate, but i then received it within hours. Overall, this was one of the best experiences I have ever had with a contractor of any kind.

Easy to contact, easy to communicate with, calls always returned, always on time, always set my expectations on what was known and what he wouldn't know until they got into the work. The work quality is top notch, you would never know that there was ever any damage, and the paint work is fantastic.

Also, his team cleaned up perfectly. At the end of each day, you would never have known that they were here. This is rare, almost every other time a contractor does work, they leave some amount of a clean-up job for me. This was the icing on the cake!

Oakley Home Improvement arrived on time. Chris skim coated two walls that were damaged when wallpaper was removed. He returned two business days later, sanded and primed the wall. He made sure that I was satisfied with the work. He was careful to clean up the area when he was finished.

I would definitely use Oakley Home Improvement again. Chris responded within one day each time I contacted him. He arrived on time and completed work as promised. He made sure the work was top quality. The price was excellent, almost half of any other quote I received.

He was very professional and easy to work with. We encountered a couple of little glitches during the project, and he had no problem fixing those. He is really flexible and does really great work, so we were happy with him. He is very affordable.

We had a terrific experience-Chris was extremely professional, gave us a very accurate estimate, scheduled the service at a convenient time for us and did a great job. The paint job is perfect.

Chris was very prompt in coming to look at the job and give an estimate. We had some existing settling of the concrete porch and Chris advised us on how to proceed with the door replacement. We followed his suggestions and had the concrete redone first. After the new door was delivered and ready to install he was here on the scheduled date and time to do the installation. He and his Dad, Tim, worked with precision to install the door. The installation was a bit tricky due to the uneven existing walls, but they did a wonderful job and the new door looks and works great.
