We selected a new front entry door (French doors) at the Murphy showroom. It took a few weeks for the door to be made specifically for our house entry dimensions. Installation was fast and professional. We are pleased with our new front entry door.

Tom was a pleasure to work with. It took awhile to get started but that's because they are in demand and do quality work rather than rushing through it. We love our siding. It has changed the look of our home. We are glad Tom wanted to match the look of the original home rather than do something trendy or easy. Our house was not easy, but they accomplished the job and exceeded our expectations.

Another excellent service call by Murphy's Home Improvement. They replaced my water damaged exterior door with a much better door and waterproofed the entire section inside and out. Murphy has a superstar contractor named Stewart. I have worked with many contractors in the past including 30-40 that are building my new home - none is better than this guy.
Murphy replaced all the rear windows in my house in 2012 with a fiberglass Marvin window. I couldn't be happier. ZERO problems and they look fantastic and still perform flawlessly.
Murphy is really busy so you might be booked out a little longer than other companies but if you want it done right go with these guys.
John was my sales agent again and he is awesome.

Excellent sales and service. Completely satisfied. They fixed a damaged wall caused by water leakage from old wooden windows. Haven't had a problem since they fixed all the issues.. They replaced all our windows with Marvin fiberglass windows. Amazing product, service crew was top notch, and prompt, knowledgeable sales staff. Great company.

Murphy Home Improvement(MHI) replaced some of our windows. They did ok with that.. When we contracted with them to do the interior wood window trim is when the problem started. We were instructed by the MHI salesperson to pay their trim carpenter in cash - which we did. (In hindsight this is obviously not a good idea to pay cash but we were just following directions). Part of the completed trim looked bad and did not match the rest so their carpenter said he would redo the bad sections but he needed more wood. He said he would be back the following week to complete the job but he never showed back up and apparently ran away with the money we paid him. MHI wanted us to track their carpenter down to get the money back.. They went after him themselves eventually but said the wanted additional money from us to finish the job. I never agreed to pay more money to finish the job so they did nothing. I eventually had to withhold my final $500 payment (from the window contract) in order to force them to complete the window trim work. One-year after they began the project they finally finished the work and I promptly paid the remaining $500. We were then paid in full on all contracts. But a few weeks later MHI sent me a additional bill anyway. We had already paid them in full. We then received an email saying that we either pay the new bill or face legal action. We were treated very unprofessionally.
Response from Murphy Home Improvement Co
"Murphy Home Improvement had contracts with the [member name removed] to install new windows on one contract and to install new interior wood trim on another contract. Murphy home improvement installed new windows and wood trim 3 to 4 years ago and the [member name removed] were happy with our work so they contracted for additional work. We installed the new windows and the homeowners were happy with the work performed. On the inside trim work Mrs. [member name removed] wanted to know if we could have the same installer that was used previously in their home to install the new wood trim. We informed her that installer Jerry was a subcontract worker that no longer worked for us because he did not have liability insurance. She insisted that he do the work so we told her that we would have to be paid in cash. Installer Jerry went to the [member name removed] home to install the new wood. Mrs. [member name removed] was not happy with how the new wood had different wood grains than the wood that had been installed previously. She was not satisfied with the work but she paid the installer Jerry the entire contract amount for the work. Mr. [member name removed] realized at that point that his wife made a big mistake by paying a person that was not an employee of Murphy Home Improvement. Since installer Jerry was not an employee or even a subcontractor for Murphy home improvement he did not go back and fix the job. Murphy home improvement went out again and purchased new wood, had the new inside wood trim stained and then had it installed by our carpenter. We invoiced the [member name removed] for $625 to cover our costs of materials and labor to correct the job to their liking. The [member name removed] also filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and our settlement solution to them was to pay us $325 to which they have not responded. The Better Business Bureau has considered this case closed because they did not respond to our settlement offer. We are going to contact the [member name removed] and give them another chance to pay the $325 balance and if is not paid within seven days we will file suit against them for failure to pay on a contract. As part of our settlement offer the slanderous review that has been written by the [member name removed] needs to be removed from Angie's list."

Had a fair price for the replacement gutters. They repaired small things that were not quoted and worked quickly. They cleaned up after the job was finished.

Excellent workmanship and quality. Couldn't be more pleased with the siding and get many compliments. Price was about $4,000 cheaper than another estimate with same siding manufacturer. Gutters have a cover and work great. My only problem was the screen porch replacement took a long time to schedule.

Our first meeting with Murphy went quite well. Mr. Murphy was very informative about the structure of our house and roofing and provided a multitude of options for replacement of roofing and siding. He visited our home an a couple of occasions to bring color samples for viewing in various sunlight. The total job required about four weeks to complete. The crew worked each day for the project time and cleaned up the yard area each day. I had the opportunity on two occasions to consult with the crew regarding fit and finish and they were more than polite and accommodating to our wishes.
In the end we are very satisfied with the work performed and the final appearance of our home.

This job took nine months to complete. Two of the sashes arrived damaged and it took Murphy that long to get replacements. That wasn't the worst of it, however. Due to some sort of scheduling snafu, Murphy blew off my installation date -- they just forgot. Now, to be fair, they did get guys out the next day, and I didn't have to pay anything until the work was finally done. But what really bothered me was, after the missed appointment, the sales rep just stopped taking my calls. He'd obviously labeled me as 'angry' (I was, but I got over it), and literally ducked my calls for months. There I was, with a big plywood window sash, and he wouldn't return a voice mail. Every step of the way, Murphy managed to make me and my puny $4000 job feel more like a nuisance than a customer.

The guy that came out did a wonderful job. The work was superb. His craftsmanship was outstanding. He cleaned up after himself. He was very punctual and professional. The price was very competitive. If I need to, I would use him again in the future.

We had ~40 windows replaced, so it was a big job. Murphy's Home Improvement worked with us to find a schedule that met our needs and gave us plenty of advance notice. They finished on time and kept to a consistent schedule during installation days, making it easy for us to manage. The sales rep was also very responsive when we had any questions and with follow ups. One of our screens was the wrong size, and they quickly came back out to replace it. We were very satisfied overall.

They did an excellent job, and I am very happy with my windows. They even cleaned up so well you couldn’t tell they were even there! I have no complaints at all, he was prompt and professional. He did a marvelous job. If I could give them an A+ instead of an A I would!

Murphy Home Improvement Inc. had a very good installer who did a nice job on my doors. They showed up on time but hadn't called us the day prior so we were kind of surprised to see them.
