The first garage door needed a new spring, and it was fixed. Very easy. The second garage door had a light bulb that didn't work, and they advised a new system due to the age of garage, but there was no pitch to have it done at that point. I was not charged for this. The third had a door that would not function. He got it operating, but then a spring broke a few days later. He came back quickly and got it fixed by putting in a new door opener. I was able to do all of this by phone, which was a big time saver.

Murphy Bros came quickly after we called them, when our old garage door opener suddenly broke down. They quickly identified the problem with the old opener, which had simply stopped working as it was worn out. They offered to come back the next day, which was a Saturday, and replace it. They recommended two brands, and told us that we might as well go with the less expensive one, as it really was just as good as the more expensive one, and thereby saved us money. They came back the next day although it was a Saturday, and worked diligently and quickly to install the new garage opener, which now works flawlessly.

Tom Sur must have answered at least 500 questions without ever showing any impatience. He was always prompt in returning our calls. We signed a contract in late August and scheduled the work for September. The craftsmen showed up on time every day and worked diligently on the installation. There were some changes that had to be made during the project. The workmen were very good about informing us of issues and Tom was very accommodating in working with us on the changes and every change was made to our satisfaction. The quality of the workmanship was superb as was the communication between us and Custom Floors.

The new springs seem to be better quality and should last longer. The tech was about 45 minutes late, but he was quick and did a good job. The repair only took about 30 minutes. The price seemed fair.

Very responsive on the telephone. They set up an appointment right away. The service people were a tad late but nothing to worry about. The work was done quickly and the door worked very well after that. I can't comment on the price because I don't know what others would charge.

THE COMPANY WAS VERY PROMPT IN RESPONDING TO MY CALL, WITH A WORKMAN AT MY HOUSE WITHIN A DAY. THEIR ESTIMATE OF THE TIME HE WOULD ARRIVE WAS ACCURATE AND I RECEIVED A CALL FROM THE WORKMAN JUST BEFORE HE ARRIVED. HE WORKED EFFICIENTLY AND PROFESSIONALLY. WE HAD HAD THE SAME COMPANY REPLACE THE OTHER SPRING SEVERAL YEARS AGO AND HAD THE SAME GOOD EXPERIENCE THEN.

THE WORKERS DID A GREAT JOB. THEY NEEDED TO REFRAME THE DOOR OPENING AFTER REMOVING THE OLD DOORS. DOOR FUNCTIONED PROPERLY AND THE WORKERS WERE PROFESSIONAL AND PUNCTUAL.

OVERALL VERY PLEASED WITH INSTALLATION OF NEW ENTRY WAY. MR. MURPHY WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND WENT OUT OF HIS WAY TO MAKE SURE THAT WE WERE SATISFIED. THE SERVICE PERSON WAS VERY PERSONABLE, HELPFUL AND PROFESSIONAL. THE COMPANY SURPRISED ME WITH A $70 TRIP CHARGE THAT THEY FAILED TO INFORM ME ABOUT. ANGIE'S LIST SAID THEY WERE ONLY 15 MILES FROM MY HOUSE SO EVEN IF THE SERVICE PERSON WENT BACK TO THE OFFICE IT WAS OVER $2 PER MILE. THEY NEVER INFORMED ME OF THE CHARGE WHEN I CALLED AND I DID NOT SEE IT UNTIL AFTER I PAID THE BILL. I FOCUSED ON TIME AND MATERIALS. THEY HAVE VERY UNPROFESSIONAL BILLING. I WOULD NEVER USE THEM AGAIN BECAUSE OF THE SURPRISE CHARGE.

THE TECHNICIAN THEY SENT (WILLIE) WAS FRIENDLY, POLITE AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. HE FIXED THE PROBLEM WITH THE ELECTRONIC EYE ON THE GARAGE DOOR AND HELPED WITH A KEYLESS ENTRY PAD THAT WE COULD NOT OPEN TO CHANGE THE BATTERY. HE ALSO SHOWED US HOW TO KEEP THE GARAGE DOOR SPRING AND WHEELS LUBRICATED TO PREVENT PROBLEMS IN THE FUTURE. OVERALL, WE WERE VERY PLEASED AND WILL HAPPILY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO OTHERS.

MIKE IS A PLEASURE TO DO BUSINESS WITH. GREAT JOB ON THE DOORS AND A COMPANY I WILL DEFINITELY RECOMMEND TO OTHERS. GARAGE DOOR WASN'T OPENING. THEY SENT SERVICE PERSON OUT THE MORNING AFTER MY CALL TO MAKE REPAIRS. TEN DAYS LATER AN ADDITIONAL PART BROKE, SO I DECIDED TO REPLACE THE DOOR. THEY CAME OUT THAT NIGHT TO EVALUATE JOB. INSTALLERS WERE VERY NICE. THIS WAS A DIFFICULT JOB BECAUSE OF DOOR FROM HOUSE OPENING INTO GARAGE AND INSTALLATION OF ORIGINAL DOOR & OPENER WAS NOT DONE WELL. I HADN'T MOVED EVERYTHING NECESSARY, SO THEY HELPED MOVE OUT & PUT BACK ITEMS.

TIMELY, LESS EXPENSIVE THAN THE OTHER TWO COMPANY'S I CALLED, BY HALF. THEY DOUBLE CHECKED BOTH DOORS AND MADE SURE BOTH WERE WORKING PROPERLY. VERY HONEST ON WHAT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AND WHAT DID NOT.

TWO EMPLOYEES SPENT A FULL 8 HOUR DAY REMOVING OLD DOORS, REBUILDING OPENINGS, AND INSTALLING NEW DOORS FOR A LOW CEILING GARAGE. IT WAS A COMPLICATED JOB AND THEY DID EXCELLENT WORK.

THE INSTALLERS INSTALLED THE WRONG DOOR. DON SAID THAT HE NEVER CHECKED THE DOOR WHEN IT ARRIVED. HE JUST ASSUMED THAT WAS WHAT HE ORDERED. HE ASKED ME WHETHER OR NOT I WANTED TO REPLACE THE OTHER DOOR TO MAKE IT MATCH THE WRONG DOOR. HE SAID HE WOULD GIVE ME A GOOD PRICE. I HAD PAID $600 TO HAVE THE WRONG DOOR INSTALLED, AND HE WANTED ME TO PAY AN ADDITIONAL $400 FOR A DOOR TO MATCH THE WRONG DOOR. THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN $1,000. I SAID NO AND THEY TOOK THE WRONG DOOR OFF AND THEY ARE ORDERING THE RIGHT DOOR.
