"See attached sheets regarding letter sent to your member. If he would have listened to us from this beginning this wouldn’t have been a problem! November 16, 2011 Dear (Member Names), We have, per the warranty, been back to make repairs on the roof several times and have not given up trying to repair the leaks. In fact, we have gotten the problem now down to a single leak which I have tried to reach you to address and resolve, but never received a return call. If you will remember, our suggestion from day one, however, was to remove the deck entirely so the rubber roof could have been flashed properly to the existing house, then re-engineer a new type of deck system. This was not done because of the need for a structural engineer which was not in your budget at the time. We, therefore, worked with what we had and this made it extremely difficult to flash the roof properly. I now understand you have taken our advice to remove the deck entirely so another roofer can come in and do the job properly. Since this was not done for my company, we could only do our best to stop the roof from leaking. I would also like to point out that in discussions with another roofer who has worked on this problem before that this roof has been leaking since it was built. This was evident when we first arrived at the job after seeing stains on the ceiling, rotting of the sliding glass doors so severe that they were difficult to open and badly cupped and stained hardwood floors. For the above reasons, my company will not accept any responsibility for any repairs or damages. However, I am available to discuss any reasonable remedies. Sincerely, Bruce V. Moldovan President Moldovan Roofing & Construction, LLC Dear (Insurance Representative Name), My name is Bruce Moldovan and I am responding to a claim made by (Member Name). Enclosed is a copy of the letter I sent to the (Member last name) in response to their complaint. It should be self-explanatory. If you have any further questions, please call me at (513) 509-9400. Sincerely, Bruce Moldovan President I would like to take a moment to add an interesting development that has recently occurred. An hour after speaking to you on Tuesday, 11/22, I received a fax from (Member Name) asking me to come back and repair the roof after all. Oddly, he also called my carpenter to come back and disassemble the deck so another roofer could come and repair the roof. He apparently had confidence in my worker. I am confused and will try to call (Member Name) to figure out what he wants."
