My experience was much like previous reports. I had no trouble with making the appointment for the estimate. Salesperson showed up in time and said I would get estimate in the mail. Took at least a week to get the estimate and then the proposal was vague and didn't include all the work we discussed. I tried to call them several times on various days but got no answer. No voicemail or answering machine. When I finally got through I explained to the woman on the phone that I needed something more concrete and complete in a proposal she said she would pass on the information. I called back almost a week later to say I had not heard anything yet. She said she would pass on the message. I did mention my concerns that it was so hard to reach them, but the woman seemed very defensive and surprized that I would expect to at least be able to leave a message. I would like to have given this job to a westside company, and the estimate, although not thorough, was much lower than others I'd gotten, but I would hesitate to do business with them. I never did receive a call back or new estimate.

I called at 5:10 PM to arrange for an estimate. The phone rang about 6 times before someone answered. Here is how the conversation went: "Hello" "Is this Meyer Fence?" "Yes" "I would like to get an estimate on replacing a fence in our back yard" "You'll need to call back tomorrow" "Never mind"

I called and set an appointment to get an estimate. I had to take time off from work to do so, but that wouldn't be a big deal if they actually followed through on what they said they would do. Their staff member showed up on time, surveyed the work to be done, and let me know that I would receive a written estimate in the mail the next week. When I did not receive the estimate after two weeks, I called the company. I spoke with a receptionist who said she would pass a message on to the salesman. Having not received a call by a week later, I gave it one more try. I informed the same receptionist that I had not yet received a phone call. She said, that all she could do was leave another message for the salesperson. To date, no call and no estimate. Maybe the job was too small, but if it was they should just say so. Not calling back indicates to me that they are not the type of company I would ever want to do business with.

I chose them b/c of their professional estimate. Answered all questions. Within 2 weeks the job was completed. Strongly recommend.
