Repaired porch railing, repaired a door and hung a lamp for us. His prices are reasonable and his work is excellent. He is a honest person.

The ceiling peeled away right as Dick started painting it, so he and we were bothered by that . It took extra time to finish our job b/c of this. However he only did 1 coat of blue paint which was a problem plus he didn't finish stripping a small , but noticeable section of wall. So he very nicely came back twice to fix these issues. My problem is that I asked him about 2 coats vs. 1 coat of blue paint . His response was, "Only do it if the wall shows through," and sure enough there was a noticeable part of the wall
showing white spots under the sunny window, which of course we didn't see at night when he originally finished our job. We have since seen more white spots on another part of the stairwell and I'm NOT calling him back for a 3rd correction. This could have been avoided with 2 coats of paint, which is the standard. Mr. Martin is a very nice man but the quality of work isn't as nice as he is.

Project went very well. Took 5 days to complete. Excellent work. Showed up promtly every day. He purchased some items and we supplied others. We wrote out a list of desired tasks we wanted done in some detail. He used our list to cost project. Project cost a little more than original due to our requested additional tasks. He was flexable in working with us on our changes and refinishing of our first floor bathroom. We are quite pleased with the results.
