Started off good but final drawings missed several details and I had to use another design engineer to redesign two retaining walls.

He works independently; he does not work for a company. He charged me about $10,000 for his services. He made tremendous contributions to the work. My wife and I had done the planning long time before we had used anyone. His design expertise was very helpful. He made the designs more aesthetically attractive. He met specifications and building codes; he was very helpful. He was an overwhelming supply of new ideas; he had lots of ideas. He was easy to work with; he was reliable; and he did his work on time. When I took his work to the county board that issues the building permits, they took one look at his name and told me that there would not be any problem with him and that he would do a wonderful job. I would use him again in the future.

MARK WAS THOROUGH AND KNOWLEDGEABLE OF BUILDING CODES AND REQUIREMENTS. IT WAS HIS ADVICE THAT LED US TO THE CONCLUSION THAT OUR BALCONY IDEA WOULD BE PROHIBITIVELY EXPENSIVE, AND NOT LOOK GOOD IF IT HAD TO CONFORM TO CODE. HIS DESIGN SKETCHES FOR OUR PORCHES HELPED US VISUALIZE OUR IDEAS. MARK CHARGED AN HOURLY RATE WHICH DID ADD UP WITH THE DESIGN WORK, BUT WHICH SAVED US MONEY IN THE LONG RUN.
