Overall, this company performed a fair job for us. We were thrilled with their work when they first started. The new wood floors they laid and finished are beautiful. Likewise, they did an excellent job of sanding and refinishing the existing wood floors in our upstairs. However, we were very disappointed in the finishing work they did. There was a lack of attention to detail in the finishing work, including:-Carpet staples were left in the stair risers after they removed the carpeting. When we pointed this out, Bill returned to remove the staples, but didn?t complete the job, leaving staples in two of the risers.-The stain on the wood threshold put between the laundry room and hallway doesn?t match the stain in the hallway floor, making it look out of place. We would have liked to talk over other options with Bill before he put it in place.-The shoe molding put into the kitchen was not stained to match the flooring until after we asked Bill to come back and do this.-The threshold installed between the dining room and kitchen is very high. We and several of our guests have already tripped over this. We recognize that Bill was working with limited resources and was unable to make the two floors come closer together so that we could have had a lower threshold. But we would have appreciated him talking this over with us prior to putting the threshold in, so we could have come up with a better solution that wouldn?t be such a home hazard, especially since we have a young toddler in the house who is just learning to walk and continues to trip over this often, as do guests.-The shoe molding in parts of the family room doesn?t match the wood flooring or the baseboards, either in stain or wood type.
I really wish we could give this company a higher rating, because part of his work was so well done. But the finishing work was just not up to par.

We're very happy! We liked Bill's suggested approach to bringing new life to our 1970's-era beveled-board kitchen floor, which original owners had pickled! Madden hand-scraped and sanded the beveled edges, then machine sanded everything before applying new finish. Everything about the job went smoothly -- no delays, no hidden costs, no bs. We love our "new" kitchen floor!

Excellent service, quality of work and materials. This firm really knows what they are doing. I had absolutely no problems with this firm or their workmanship.
