LEE SHOE REPAIR

This was my first time having a pair of shoes repaired, that's how much I like these particular sandals... They were repaired exactly how it was explained to me and completed in a week. Very reasonable price and great service. Would definitely use again!

I have never had a pair of shoes repaired, so I wasn't sure what to ask or what to expect. I had tried to re-glue the leather myself at home in one spot and it resulted in a mess and did not hold. I decided to try a repair shop.
He was busy when I walked in and was a little short with me. I showed him the shoes and he responded that there was nothing wrong with them. I showed him again and explained that the leather shouldn't be curling away from the shoes. He didn't seem convinced, but said he could put stitches in to hold it. He said they would be ready in about a week. I walked out and realized he didn't give me a price. I went back in to ask and he said $9, which seemed very reasonable to me.
I returned a week later to get them and he was friendly and explained that he glued the pieces back down. He had fixed all of the issues and they looked brand new. I have worn them a lot since then and they have held up pretty well. The issue seems to be a design flaw in the shoes because it's starting to pull away again in a few spots where my foot bends, but nothing like it was prior to the repair.

I brought the shoes in for an estimate and was told that it would be $19 to replace the heels. I asked if they could fix some small spots on the toe where the material was worn, but I was told that because it wasn't leather, they could not fix this. They said that they would give them a good shine though, and that they would be ready in a week. I picked them up a week later and the heels were perfect, the price was exactly what I was quoted and the shoes were shined up very nicely. My husband really just wanted these as a secondary pair to wear when he had to deal with slightly more physical activities such as setting up for a job fair and he was thrilled at how the shoes came out.

Owner did an excellent job. I think he is the official Johnston and Murphy shoe repair store in the area. The heels he used are cut and fit smooth and look as if they are original. Some other repairmen I have used in the past cut their heels out of big blocks and it looks like they use a butchers knife. Lees work is very clean!
