Furniture - Sales
My husband and I visited La-Z-Boy on Dec 31, 2007 to buy a leather couch & 2 chairs. Salesman, Bill showed us what they had in leather. We found a set we liked and asked for a quote. We received it on the back of his business card. We asked him is the prices would still be valid the next day, he said yes. We said we would return the next day. There was new pricing. Bill said he would honor whichever price was cheaper. He gave us a quote with new pricing and I handed him the previous quote. He left and spoke with the manager, Dennis Jackson. Dennis walked over to us and rudely said, "There's obviously a mistake in that quote and I will not honor it," he walked away. That was it. He did not ask if we knew there was a mistake, we did not. He did not ask if we could work something out. We told Bill we would ve been willing to look at the new pricing, but because Dennis was so rude he lost our sale. We left the store. Dennis cost La-Z-Boy over $4000 in a sale, what we spent elsewhere.
