The technician was professional and we have no complaints with the work he did. He tried to sell us several other services they offered but we declined. However he strongly recommended that we purchase a carbon monoxide detector; so we did. The price seemed high at $78, but we had never bought one before and he assured us this a very good one, so we bought it and he plugged it in. We considered getting another one for upstairs so I looked online and found the exact same one for sale for a price of $17 one place, and another place for $19.50. Both of these were the same brand,, Kidde/model #KN-COB-DP2 and both of these came with free shipping. The tech had asked us to do a review on Google Maps and we agreed to prior to discovering the overcharge. We did the review including this info, The company responded that we should call them about our complaint. I have called 4 times trying to reach that customer service representative. I was told each time that I would get a call back. They never return my calls. More than 2 weeks have passed. I'm done trying.

Called to get our two air conditioners serviced as they were not running cool enough in the 90's we have been experiencing. First appointment available was almost two weeks out. The DAY OF the appointment they called to say they had other customers that were a higher priority (ie higher service fees they can charge for emergency service) and they needed to move the appointment out another 5 days. Based on their reviews I assumed this was a professional company that understood service and put customers before dollars - I was wrong.

Performed diagnosis for $99 and determined the A/C compressor valves were blown and that it had come apart inside, most likely due to overheating as a result of a failure in the outside fan. Service tech noted metal was rattling inside the compressor and it would cost $3,500-$4,000 to replace, and was quick to schedule an appointment two days later to have a sales rep come talk to us about replacing our entire system. We opted for a second opinion from a Christian-owned and operated business referred to us. You can imagine our disgust to find out the compressor only had a bad capacitor and was otherwise in satisfactory working order, as is the outside fan. Total repair cost less than $200 and our A/C is working just fine.

A Knochelmann service team replaced the entire HVAC system- furnace, air conditioner, and thermostat, and removed the old system in one day. They arrived as scheduled. The work was efficient, clean, and quick. When complete, the area was clean and neat. The servicemen were courteous and friendly and respectful of my property. After one week, I am pleased with results. During significant changes in outdoor conditions, temperatures from low 70s to 88 with varying humidity, the temperature and humidity indoors has remained completely stable and comfortable. I have trusted this company with all my HVAC and plumbing business for over 20 years and have not been disappointed yet. James M. and the team did an excellent job.

The process from sale to installation was simple and easy. James Millsap coordinated the sale and installation. During the sale, after taking measurements and determining what I needed, he spent all the time I needed to educate me to the options and answer all my questions. James did not do a hard sell on me, and was very honest and frank with me about the options. Additionally, if you are a Costco member, the price, discounts and rewards significantly lower the price. Once the sale was consummated, the installation was promptly scheduled within a few days. The entire system - inside (furnace) and outside (heat pump/AC) - was installed within one day. When the installation was complete, they again spent all the time I needed to feel comfortable with the units and the new wireless thermostat. Three installers took approximately 8-9 hours to complete the job, and they did an excellent job cleaning up afterwards and hauling old equipment away. A tip of the cap goes out not only to James Millsap for the sale and installation coordination, but to the installers Dalton, John and Terry for outstanding work. They were conscientious and respectful of my property and left it the same way it was before performing the work. It was painless for me. I highly recommend Knochelmann. I have been a satisfied customer of theirs for several years, and because of that, I sought them out first since they are a Lennox reseller (which I wanted) and Costco selected Knochelmann as their Lennox reseller and installer - another validation that they are good at what they do. I am a happy customer. Now, I am hoping the furnace works well for many years.

They also have a plumbing service. We had a new sump pump installed. A better battery that did not have to have distilled water put in it to keep it active. So it is self functioning where we do not have to do anything with it. A basement sump pump. Plumbing is included in the contract for free plumbing inspection periodically. I would recommend this company to others that need the same service.

We have had a year service contract. We have a spring and fall tuneup for the air conditioning and the heat. It is based on a yearly subscription so we are not individually charged. They check the whole system. The outside air conditioning unit is checked for the accumulation of crud. They open it up and managed to remove all of the crud like dirt and leaves and that sort of thing which optimizes the outside air conditioning unit. Air duct cleaning. The filters were changed for the whole season. We have compared enough that the quality and price are high. It is avery good business with very professionally trained technicians for the heating and air conditioning as a whole. We have installed by them a non water gas water heater system that is a smaller unit. It has a device to speed up the hot water to get to where you are. It has worked very well to get away from the water tank for hot water heating.

It was a fiasco from day one. The scheduling process was inept, the technicians were late twice, and the actual problem was not diagnosed after three visits. The details: On Sunday 11/05/16, I used their website to schedule the appointment for my day off from work - Friday 11/11/16. I received a phone call on Monday, 11/06/16. They called to say that the service tech was on his way to my house. The customer service rep looked again, and agreed that my appointment was for Friday. On Friday the tech showed up on time and then spent 90 minutes fussing with the furnace and came up with the diagnosis that the flue was blocked, and he couldn't reach it. He showed me the meter that indicated that the furnace couldn't draw any air through the intake flue. Fixing it would require taking the flue off and cutting it in half to see inside. He didn't have the right parts to replace it. I paid $99 for the service call, and was told that someone would come back on Saturday between 10:00 and noon. That guy would have the right parts, and the cost would be $275. Saturday morning I got up and was ready for him by 10:00. At 11:50am I phoned the company to ask where the guy was, and was informed that he had picked up the parts and was on his way. He got to my house at 12:35. After fussing around, he came up and told me that he had dismantled the flue and there was nothing wrong. The actual problem is the sensor. But he had cut the flue in half to look for the blockage, and didn't have the right parts to fix it. (Even though he was supposedly told what size the flue was.) So he was going to the hardware store to get supplies. He was gone more than an hour. When he returned, he tells me that he went to three hardware stores and couldn't get the right stuff. It is 2.5 inch PVC, which is non-standard, and only available from HVAC supply stores, which aren't open on Saturday. Why wouldn't an HVAC repair truck have the right PVC as basic materials? So he patched it with duct tape. Then he tells me that he doesn't have the right sensor either. He cleaned the contacts, and it should work for a couple of days. Someone will be back on Monday. He scheduled it for after 6:00 so I wouldn't have to take off work. I asked about the charges for another service call, and he said that they only charge once. Additional visits for the same problem are no charge. And that Monday's charge will be only the parts. So I don't know where the other guy got the $275 amount. By Sunday evening the furnace had quit again. it was 55F in my living room. On Monday, 11/14/16 their office called to tell me that the new appointment was between 2:00 and 4:00. Nope, after 6:00 - as the guy on Saturday said. I am not taking time off work when they already ruined my day off. At 5:30 they called, but I was driving home from work. The voicemail said that the technician couldn't get the part, and would have to re-schedule for Tuesday. I called back - a bit angry - and asked how the guy was going to fix it at 2:00 without the part. And that perhaps it is time for me to call another company. The customer service person insisted that the part would be in tomorrow, and the appointment would be 10:00 - 12:00. I called a friend to ask her to be here, since I refused to take off work for these bozos. While I was on the phone with her, the HVAC company called again. This time to offer to send a Senior Technician, since the basic entry level flunkies hadn't fixed it. But the Senior Tech can't come until after 2:00pm. "We can schedule him for after you get home from work." So the plan was for the Senior Tech to get to my house between 2:00pm and 4:00pm on 11/15/16. I waited until 3:37pm, and called their office. The CR person said that she would check and call me back. She called at 3:42pm and said that he was on his way. I pinged my friend, and asked her to head over. She pinged me at 4:44pm to tell me that he wasn't there yet. My phone rang at 4:53pm - it was the tech, saying that he was on his way. I mentioned that the office said he had left an hour ago. "Gee, I didn't finish with my last job until 4:15." He arrived at my house at 5:24pm. I got home at 5:32, and was greeted by the same guy who was there last Friday! Is he the Senior Technician? He asked me what the guy on Saturday had told me, and stated that he hoped replacing the pressure switch would fix it. He was done in twenty minutes. I hope it does work - the part was $269. The furnace ran for a couple of hours and quit again. I purposely wrote a check for the service, and stopped payment on it. I called their 24 line to inform them, and the customer service person's response was "Okay", as if it happens all the time. Two days later I received a voice mail, asking me to call and discuss the matter. I refused. Three days later I got my check back in the mail without a note. This tells me that they knew they were at fault. I found another repair company. The actual problem was the control board.
