Kerlin, the owner, did the installation.  He also came back to show me how to use it.  He is going to come back to get it ready for the winter.  He is very friendly.  He came to replace a sprinkler head after my neighbor ran over one. He is easy to get a hold of.  He is professional.

The description list of the work performed by Kerlin is really not an adequate reflection of how involved this project really was and how hard Josh and Matt worked over three (1 full, 2 half) days.  This sprinkler system is around 25 years old and needed to be fixed and updated starting with moving the backflow out of our finished basement.  Josh is a certified plumber and expertly handled moving the backflow outside without any mess or water leakage in the basement.  And, at my request, he dug a 6 ft trench outside so that the backflow would be hidden by a bush.  It was a hot August day and a lot of work digging a deep trench, adding pipe, etc.  Josh took a lot of care in his work and clearly paid attention to details (ie. putting booties over his shoes whenever he was in the house which I appreciated).  Josh and Matt worked on the outside sprinkler lines, heads, valves, etc   They had to locate the breaks, again a lot of digging was involved, pull out damaged line, replace with new, etc. Then move on to replacing heads, valves, fixing wiring, moving heads, etc.  It really was a time consuming, involved project.  Both Josh and Matt were very polite, professional, punctual, took time to explain details to us and we were very pleased with the quality of their work.  Everyone from Kerlin was polite and professional - from the estimate to work completion.  We will definitely have them continue to maintain our sprinkler system. 

The serviceman arrived on time as scheduled and asked me to show him which heads I was having issues with.  Then he went to work, replacing and re-aiming the 5 faulty sprinkler heads.   The work was done in a little over an hour, quick and efficient.

It works beautifully, exactly as promised, and they couldn't be more responsive.

He came out and found the problem rather quickly.
Our  tree's roots had grown through the pipes in the sprinkler.
Also there were issues in the power.
 He dug up the box containing the power wires and fixed the issue.
He had to return a couple of times to get it working properly but now it is working.
The price was a bit higher than he had quoted me on the first visit but perhaps more was wrong than he had thought.

They do a good job. You do have to be patient with them and schedule your appointments. They have a lot of customers, but that’s because they are so good.

I got a couple of other estimates. They were very professional and knew exactly what they were doing. They really knew their stuff. The quality of the work was very good. We knew a couple of the problems and the Kerlin people caught them, unlike some other companies. They were very professional and they didn't make a mess in the house. We are going to be using them from now on.

Selected this vendor from several over two other Angie's list vendors  because he seemed a little more knowledgeable.  He asked questions and spotted an immediate problem that the other vendors missed.  The repair technician arrived on time and was very courteous.   It took the technician a full day to finish the repairs because he found additional issues. He patiently explained what was going on and I was pleased with what he had done.   I was amazed how carefully the technician removed the sod put it back in place.   You could not tell that a large section of yard had been dug up.    A bad valve was found on one of the zones and the technician had to come back another time to replace it.  Once again the sod was carefully removed and replaced so the digging was not noticable.  The technicain an his supervisor did a final review wih me and explained the operation of the new controller.

Kerlin is good.  I love Kerlin.  They did a very good job.  I like them a lot.  They might be a little pricier, but one would get what they pay for.  They are right here when needed.  I have nothing, but good things to say about them.  They were probably a little more expensive, but they did a good job.  I had some locust trees back there with roots and they dug around the roots and did what I wanted.  I'm very happy with them.  I love their salesman.  They are just a good company.  I'm very happy with them.  I don't always look for the cheapest person, but I want somebody that's reliable and somebody that's very close as it's a good thing.  They've been very attentive.  Their price was probably a little bit on the higher side and I can't just rate them on that.  I hate to say anything negative.  I could have probably got someone cheaper, but I'm not sure if they would have done a better job.  I have to really watch myself with negatives.  Their quality is excellent.  Their responsiveness is very good.  They were here when they said they were going to be here.  If they say they would come in, they come in and if they can't for any reason, they would call.  I like that.  I've dealt with them in the past.  I used to have a backflow preventer and they used to come out and service that.  They were very helpful, very nice and very professional.  I'm planning to use them again because I want to put a sprinkling system in the front.  I've still got some things to be done in the front so I haven't called them, but I will be definitely asking them to do that.  They'll come out and service if something is a little bit off.                        

They are professional and they seem to do a very good job. My lawn looks great as well. I would use them again.

Kerlin Company has winterized my sprinkler system for several years now & they do a good job.  I got several estimates before I started using them & I thought they were fair.  I have also had them give me a bid to replace all the heads & move some of them.  The price was good, I just haven't hired them yet due to some other home repairs that took priority

I have had Kerlin perform service on my irrigation system 2 or 3 times in the previous 2 1/2 years. What I have experienced with Kerlin compared to previous lawn irrigation companies used, is that Kerlin always promptly answered my phone calls or after-hours voice-mail messages. Previous experience with other companies were often met with frustration, i.e. "no return call" or "sorry we aren't providing service for any new customers", etc. Kerlin, on the other hand, was always able to schedule an appointment within a few days, was always on time for the appointment, and performed the service call in a prompt and efficient manner. Service call and repair charges have always been reasonable. They are a trusted provider, which is saying something these days. I would not hesitate to recommend Kerlin to anyone needing their services.

I noticed a leak in my sprinler system (water running freely). I called for an appointment. As always, they came out promptly, fixed the problem completely. All of it required very little intervention from me except the phone call and paying the reasonable bill.

We love them; we've had them for 20 years now. The experience was great. We've been very happy with them. Our control system was hit by lightning and they came out in just a day or so. They're very professional and friendly. They take care of you; they work on a first-name basis.

It has been since 1991 when we had Kerlin do our first installation. That installation of an irrigation system and every install since has been done in a professional manner. I don't believe you will find a more professional and friendly company!

We have had a great experience with their quality and price. We have been satisfied with all of the services that they have provided to us over the last 2 1/2 years since we moved into our new home.
